But the woman didn't say that.
She said something much harsher than a no.
Zane told her things about Horum and he made sure to tell her how good of a friend he was to Horum.
And when he finished doing that, he asked normally for a favor.
Horum was the Priest that had the relic. He was a prime suspect at least.
Zane only had two days now and if he wanted the relic, he had to meet Horum and take it from him.
Therefore, in a leisure manner, he asked the woman:
"Can you take us to the city and let us meet Horum? It's been a while."
The woman twitched.
Zane saw that. But he remained normal as if he didn't really care what her answer would be.
However, he couldn't stop his heart from being dramatic as it broke into a thousand pieces after hearing the straight one word answer.
"Never."
Xavier visibly flinched.
Hena and Zane remained still and Draxus chuckled standing at the back.
