Chapter 67 - A STORM'S A BREWING

AKAME ASSASINATION (3)

"Blue black… it then turned a shade of dark blue." The man in white observed.

"Well then… what is that?" Gil looked back at the man with a smile.

"It seems you're pretty close to a Fullbringer, but it isn't deep blue… maybe you're a specialist… But what colors mixed though…" The man continued to ponder.

 "?"

"No need to worry, at the very least we know your affinity, so we just have to keep working at it…"

Despite him saying that, the color of that flame greatly worried the man in white, not for any devious reason, in fact that color mixture would explain why Gil was learning as fast as he possibly could.

"Specialization is a category that allows for flexibility for multiple other categories. In short specialists aren't held to the rules of any one affinity, but rather make up their own rules by combining different abilities from the different categories." The man in white explained further.

"So you can be a hunter and a full bringer at the same time?" Gil asked.

"Yes, exactly. But not only that but you can also use all subcategories at 90% efficiency…"

"Sub categories?" Gil stopped him, "You mean there are smaller categories than the ones you've already told me about?"

"Oh." The man in white scratched the back of his neck, "That's my bad I was suppose to teach you that in combination with the major categories but ended up forgetting."

"The sub categories aren't as difficult to understand as the main categories, they include:

Enhancement: Which all sorcerers naturally do anyway, so its one of the fist things people master.

Transmutation: Changing the properties of your fragment energy to make it like rubber and gum, or into electricity.

Conjuration: Using your fragment energy to create things that didn't originally exist or to make fake copies of something.

Manipulation: The use of fragment energy to control people or objects.

Emission: Detaching and firing off of fragment energy for long range attacks.

 See its not that complicated."

"!" Gil stared blankly at the man before sitting down, "I think I need a minute to process this information."

 "Oh, sure I guess."

'Was I going to fast? Should I have just explained one category at a time. I was taking things a bit too fast, probably because I thought he was a genius and could absorb everything. But everybody has their limits…'

"I think I get though." Gil said while still on the ground.

"Yeah… of course you do." If you couldn't tell he was being sarcastic. "Take your time It'll come to you before too long."

BOOM!

A sudden change in air pressure sent wind gushing back through the plains. The two could only close their eyes and try keeping themselves together as the winds threatened to lift them off the ground.

 "The hell was that?"

The man in white opened his eyes and stared in the direction of the wind. "Their was a sudden pressure change, air likes moving to lower pressure zones, which means that their must have been a really big increase in pressure."

 "What does that mean?"

"It just means we're in a high fragment zone."

 "High what?"

"Think of it as a place were fragments accumulate to a certain degree. When that happens, the area affected receives a ton of weird phenomenon."

 "Weird?"

"But it seems like things are normal for now…" He stared in the direction with which the wind was coming from, 'A little bit south of our campsite, maybe something happened with the girl and Akame.'

"Let's go check it out." Gil suggested as though reading the man's mind.

"Mhh, yeah good idea. We can even check up on the site as while we're going."

The man picket up his hat and Gil picket up his shirt, the two then began running in the direction of the blowing wind as each of them put on their respective clothes.

MEANWHILE, BACK TO CATHERINE

WHOOSH!

The winds blew hard as Catherine tried blocking the punches the traditional girl threw her way but to no avail. She was exceptional, nothing but straight hands, she didn't even take the time to use her spear.

In truth Catherine wasn't worthy of such.

BAM!

One punch to the nose sent her back. "Oww! Why are you so mean."

Blood dripped down her nose as she tried to get back up but couldn't. The girl didn't say anything, she just turned her back and continued walking away.

 "Hey!"

Why did she even decide to pick a fight anyway? Knowing damn well that she wasn't winning.

"Hey!" But she still got up anyway not even asking her self that question, "Why are you so--"

SWOOSH!

Suddenly Catherine felt a pain in her lower abdomen, her vision then began getting blurry. 'What!'

She looked down at her stomach, something had gone through her. It was dagger-like and big its radius the size of her stomach. Calm thoughts started flooding into her mind. 'This is weird, last time it wasn't like this. I died before and it didn't really feel like this. Although last time it did somewhat go wrong.'

When she previously sought to hang herself she had climbed up the old tree branches and made a proclamation of hate towards the gods or God of this world stating that she hated every single one of them. But she ended up tripping and snapping her neck on the nose that was already around her neck.

'It was instantaneous so maybe that's why I felt no pain and maybe that's why I didn't experience this sort of sensation. So am I going to die again?'

The dagger like thing retracted from her body and she fell onto her knees. Blood began pouring out in large volumes from her lower abdomen, and her intestines hang outside. She reached out grabbing them and trying to put them back in. "Oh dear… Akame won't like that I've made a mess."

She then fell flat onto her face, "I'm tired, but I have to clean thi…" She then stopped talking and observed the creature that loomed above her, she couldn't see it properly but judging from the size of the shadow the creature must've been really big.

"Run, run!" She whispered trying to reach her hand out, "run plea…"

 A roar then followed.
