On the street, Minato bought Naruto a new set of clothes.
A white T-shirt, black pants, and a pair of black ninja shoes.
Looking at Naruto, who was now completely transformed from head to toe, Minato nodded in satisfaction.
"You look much cooler now."
"Really?"
Naruto was a little skeptical, but seeing Minato's admiring gaze, he didn't care whether he looked good or not.
Being able to shop with his dad was something he'd never experienced in his life, something he'd always longed for. Even though this dad was just a parallel-world counterpart, it still filled him with a sense of fulfillment.
"Hmm? You look just like brothers! As expected of father and son."
Suddenly, a voice called out, and the two turned to look.
A beautiful blonde woman stood with her hands on her hips, appraising them with keen interest.
Her soft golden hair was tied into twin ponytails, and she wore a loose green haori that couldn't conceal her voluptuous figure.
"Teacher Tsunade!"
Minato's eyes lit up at the sight of her.
"Hmm—"
Tsunade stared at the young Minato before her, fell silent for two seconds, and then burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! I never thought the Fourth Generation in this parallel world would be my disciple! Now let's see how Jiraiya that bastard will brag about his own achievements!"
"Huh? Is this lady Dad's teacher?" Naruto tilted his head, curiously sizing up Tsunade before him. "She doesn't look her age, does she?"
"Teacher Tsunade uses the Yin Seal, which keeps her young. She's actually the same age as Senior Jiraiya," Minato explained.
"—?"
Naruto's face went from shocked to speechless. "Isn't that a scam? She's clearly an old woman—"
Thump!
Tsunade punched Naruto on the head. "Who are you calling an old woman, you little brat?!"
"Ah! That hurt!" Naruto clutched his head, squatting on the ground in pain.
"Hmph~" Tsunade snorted and turned to Minato. "The Old Man sent someone to contact me. I thought he was lying, but it's true. I heard you killed Danzo? Well done, kid!"
"Haha—" Minato chuckled dryly. That was just like Tsunade.
"This isn't the place to talk. Come with me," Tsunade said, beckoning with a finger.
After sending Naruto home, Minato followed Tsunade to the Senju Estate. As they approached the familiar mansion, Minato let out an almost imperceptible sigh.
Sensing his reaction, Tsunade paused briefly. As if recalling something, she composed herself and asked, "Speaking of which, in your world, you must have been here before, right?"
"Yes, I've lived here for a long time with the Teacher, Nawaki, and Kushina."
Minato nodded, knowing what Tsunade wanted to ask. "But unlike in this world, because of the war, I was worried about Nawaki. So I graduated early and formed a team with him. Fortunately, he didn't die."
"Is that so..."
Tsunade pressed her lips together, her heart filled with both joy and sorrow.
She was happy that her brother had survived in another world, but saddened that it was ultimately another world, not this one.
The group entered the house. Perhaps because no one had lived there for a long time, the interior seemed somewhat aged, with a layer of dust on the shoe cabinet.
When Tsunade returned, a black-haired girl in a kimono hurried out from the living room, followed by a small pink pig.
"Lady Tsunade, you're back?"
"Yes."
Tsunade nodded and casually introduced her. "This is Shizune. I'm not sure if you know her."
"No, I don't." Minato shook his head.
The two entered the living room. Shizune poured them tea before withdrawing with the pink pig.
"That girl is Dan's niece."
Tsunade held her teacup, blowing away the foam. "Speaking of which, Dan in your world..."
"Dan? Dan Katō? What happened to him?" Minato asked, puzzled.
"Well—in this world, he was my lover."
Tsunade shook her head and chuckled. "But it seems you weren't close to him?"
"No, he tried to get close to Teacher with some schemes, so I warned him," Minato nodded.
"So that's how it is—different worlds mean completely different life circumstances..."
Tsunade didn't seem particularly surprised, her calm demeanor slightly surprising Minato.
So, it turns out the Tsunade in the original story also saw through Dan Katō's schemes—
But that's only natural. Since ancient times, genuine affection has never been enough to hold someone's heart; only clever tactics win people over.
Love is never straightforward.
"So, in that world, I'm still single?" Tsunade asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Not exactly—" Minato shook his head.
"Then who am I with?" Tsunade pressed, her eyes sparkling. "It wouldn't be that idiot Jiraiya, would it?"
"Uh—"
Minato looked conflicted.
"It's fine, just tell me the truth."
Seeing Minato's discomfort, Tsunade waved her hand. "After all, I'm your teacher from another world. Just treat me like you would your own teacher. Interact with me the same way you interact with the other me."
"Th— alright."
Minato scratched his head awkwardly. "Then Teacher Tsunade, you should go first."
"Go—"
Tsunade's expression stiffened slightly. "Go first?"
"Yes, first."
Minato nodded. "The kind where your forehead touches the ground and your hands are flat."
"Wait—"
Tsunade's mouth twitched wildly, as if she'd heard something unbelievable. "Aren't you my disciple?"
"Our relationship is... complicated."
Minato held his teacup, took a calm sip, and his azure eyes, hazy behind the steam, seemed unusually deep.
"Outwardly, we're teacher and student. But privately— our relationship has many facets."
"Many facets—"
Tsunade stared at Minato, her expression utterly bewildered. "Could it be—"
"Exactly what you're thinking."
A faint smile curved Minato's lips. "I know everything about you, Teacher. According to our contract, all your secrets must be revealed to me."
"The contract—"
Tsunade felt a sudden dizziness.
What had she just heard?
"This is impossible!"
After the initial shock, Tsunade felt utterly mocked, and a surge of fury rose in her heart. "You brat, do you even realize what you're saying?"
Minato calmly met her gaze, knowing her temper would flare up.
He remained unperturbed, for he wasn't lying. He truly knew everything about her.
This was all thanks to Tsunade herself, who, during their Chakra Connection, had eagerly revealed these details to him in hopes of earning praise and rewards.
"Thirteen years old, Ninja Girl Monthly, self-entertainment in your bedroom."
As Minato's words fell, Tsunade's expression froze.
"Your favorite was the 'Alphabet Series.' Quite precocious, Teacher Tsunade."
Thud!
Tsunade's forehead slammed heavily against the table, her hands splayed flat.
"I believe you, but please, don't say another word!"
