Three days after the canyon disaster…
The world changed.
Screens everywhere displayed the same footage.
Cities.
Subways.
Airports.
Bars.
Two figures fighting in a burning desert.
Crimson darkness swallowing soldiers.
Blinding light shattering war machines.
The broadcast paused on a single frame.
Maxruell standing in the shadows.
Juvy glowing in the explosion.
The words appeared across the screen:
GLOBAL THREAT CONFIRMED — SIGNIFICANTS IDENTIFIED
Inside the massive Glass Citadel orbiting above Earth, leaders from dozens of nations gathered.
A holographic map of the world hovered in the center.
Mother Cain stood calmly before them.
One of the generals slammed his fist on the table.
"That canyon strike wiped out an entire hunter battalion!"
Another spoke urgently.
"If those two keep growing stronger, no army will be able to stop them."
A third leader asked the question everyone feared.
"…What if they take over the world?"
Cain folded her hands.
"That is precisely why we must act now."
She pressed a button.
Two holograms appeared.
TARGET ONE: MAXRUELL — CODE NAME: RED KING
TARGET TWO: JUVY — CODE NAME: BRIGHT SISTER
Cain's voice echoed through the chamber.
"As of this moment… both Significants are declared enemies of the world."
Back in the desert ruins…
Juvy listened to the broadcast on a cracked radio.
Eli sat beside her.
Mara leaned against a truck.
The announcement continued.
"Any citizen providing information on these targets will be rewarded with full government protection and compensation."
Juvy switched the radio off.
"So that's it," Mara said.
"We're public enemy number one."
Eli swallowed nervously.
"Everyone is hunting us now…"
Juvy stared at the horizon.
"Good."
They both looked at her.
"If the whole world is watching…"
Her hands glowed faintly again.
"…then the Resistance will show them the truth."
Across the ocean…
Maxruell walked through the remains of an abandoned coastal city.
Most people had already fled after the broadcast.
Only a few desperate survivors remained.
One old man approached cautiously.
"You're… him, aren't you?"
Maxruell didn't answer.
The man looked at the cracked buildings around them.
"They say you're a devil."
Maxruell's shadows flickered slightly.
"And what do you think?"
The man shrugged.
"Devils don't destroy the people hunting us."
Maxruell glanced at the distant sea.
Hunter ships were already appearing on the horizon.
More enemies.
More soldiers.
More people trying to kill him.
The old man smiled faintly.
"If you're going to fight the world… at least make it interesting."
Maxruell turned away.
His voice cold.
"It will be."
Across the planet, hunter forces mobilized.
Armored convoys rolled through cities.
Airships launched from military bases.
Anti-Significant weapons were distributed worldwide.
Every nation had the same mission.
Capture or eliminate the twins.
High above Earth…
Mother Cain watched the global response.
Serah stood beside her.
"They're turning the entire world into hunters."
Cain nodded calmly.
"That's the point."
Serah frowned.
"Won't that push the twins to become even stronger?"
Cain smiled.
"Exactly."
She zoomed in on the map showing two glowing markers.
One in the desert.
One near the ocean.
"They must grow stronger."
Serah asked quietly:
"…For what?"
Cain looked out at the planet below.
"For the moment when only one of them remains."
Back in the desert…
Juvy stood before the survivors of the Flame Resistance.
Only eight people remained.
But their eyes burned with determination.
She spoke clearly.
"The world thinks we're monsters."
Mara smirked.
"They always need someone to blame."
Juvy raised her glowing hand.
Crystal shards lifted from the sand around them.
"But we're not monsters."
Lightning flickered in the sky above.
"We're the ones fighting for the people they forgot."
The Resistance members nodded.
Hope sparked again.
Juvy turned toward the horizon.
"From today onward…"
Her voice hardened.
"…the rebellion begins."
Far away on the coastline…
Maxruell stood alone as the first hunter fleet approached.
Dozens of ships.
Hundreds of soldiers.
Missile systems locked onto him.
Maxruell slowly lifted his head.
Crimson light burned in his eyes.
The shadows behind him grew larger.
The Red King didn't run.
He stepped forward.
"Let them come."
Two Significants.
Two enemies of the world.
And a war that had only just begun.
