The journey back felt significantly lighter than the trip there. Since the open-air market was set up in a clearing quite a distance from their place, they had set out very early that morning.
They had arrived at the perfect time for trading. It was just that, initially, neither Wyatt nor Asher had expected business to boom quite like that. It was barely nearing noon, yet they had already sold out of everything. Carrying their empty wooden poles on the trek home, they chatted away, feeling vastly more relaxed.
Wyatt sneaked a peek at the Omega, who was currently chattering non-stop and whispering with Simon up ahead. He clicked his tongue and gently nudged Asher's shoulder: "Hey..."
The Alpha tilted his head, giving Wyatt a bewildered look. Wyatt whispered again, "Don't you feel like your Omega is somewhat... strange?"
Asher was puzzled: "Strange how?"
