Lyra's POV
Monday continued smoothly after its chaotic start. Following my departure from Xander's place, I attended my scheduled classes. Thankfully, I had no shifting training that day. Unfortunately, I did face a History of Wolves examination.
Walking toward the cafeteria for lunch, I was convinced I had completely failed the test. Poppy was gently rubbing my back and insisting I had probably performed well when someone placed a tray on our table. I lifted my gaze from my self-pity to see Gwen, Ash's sister, swinging her leg over the bench to join us. She offered us a small, tentative smile.
"Would you mind if I sat here?"
"Of course not," I responded, shaking my head. I caught Poppy's eye. Her expression showed clear confusion.
"Wouldn't you prefer sitting with your usual crowd?" Poppy asked hesitantly.
Gwen shook her head. "I was hoping to get to know both of you better, if that would be alright?"
