In the void, as Axel's emotionless narration echoed, both Deadpool and Wolverine stared in stunned disbelief.
"So over a hundred Sorcerer Supremes worked together and sent Cassandra straight into the belly of a dimensional demon?"
Logan inhaled sharply, then froze. His gaze drifted as the shock turned inward.
"If the Sorcerer Supreme is that powerful, why did he just let me kill him in my universe?"
He shut his eyes, pain surfacing as old memories flooded back.
Wade tilted his head, rubbing his chin.
"Wait, what did you just say? You killed the Sorcerer Supreme in your universe? And here I thought I had issues. Axel and I figured you were some kind of anchor, but we never got your backstory. Why did you do it? What, did you mess with Doctor Strange's assistant before he got the cape?"
"Shut up."
Logan drove his claws into his own chest, twisting them before letting out a long breath.
"I can tell you. I was going to ask Axel for something anyway."
He looked at Axel with quiet hope. Axel gave a small wave, signaling him to continue.
Logan nodded.
"It started when the Sentinels were first created. Back then, they were presented as protectors, like the X-Men. Jean and Scott asked me to join them, to fight both humans and Sentinels. They even gave me this suit."
He glanced down at the yellow armor.
"I turned them down. Walked away and drank alone."
He paused, his voice tightening.
"By the time I came back, it was over. The Sentinels had wiped them all out. Every last one. Even Charles."
Silence stretched.
"My fault. If I had stayed, maybe things would have been different."
His jaw clenched.
"When I saw their bodies, especially Jean, I lost control. I fought from Chicago all the way to the White House. Killed the President. Destroyed the Sentinels."
His voice grew colder.
"Anyone who tried to stop me talked about reason. I didn't have that anymore. So I killed them too. The Avengers. Strange. All of them. By the end, there was no one left to fight."
He looked up at Axel again.
"That's why I said I could do it. If I want to, I can. And this suit… it reminds me who I used to be."
Axel gave him a thumbs up, expression exaggerated.
"You pulled it off because you're that version of Wolverine, the one who wiped out his entire universe."
Logan hesitated, then spoke more quietly.
"Can you send me back? Before it all happened?"
His voice grew heavier.
"I want to fix it. Not just for my team, but for everyone I killed. The Sentinels were developed in secret by the government. The Avengers didn't even get the chance to respond. My revenge… went too far."
He covered his face.
If Axel did not have the power to change the past, he would never have said any of this.
Wade exhaled dramatically, then patted Logan's shoulder.
"I always wondered why you wore that bright yellow suit. I wear red so people don't see my blood. What are you hiding? Something embarrassing?"
Logan snapped.
"What is wrong with you?"
He punched Wade hard across the face.
Wade shrugged as his teeth regenerated.
"No idea. Childhood is a blur. Could be the four or five diseases I picked up along the way. Might have fried something important."
"Enough."
Logan's claws went straight through Wade's head.
As the two fell into another fight, Human Torch edged closer to Axel.
He coughed lightly.
"Boss… did you mean Cassandra is completely gone?"
"Yeah," Axel said casually, hands in his pockets. "Gone like smoke in the wind."
He smirked faintly.
"No matter how strong someone is, there is always someone stronger. Or at least a group strong enough to take them down. Chasing power is pointless. Even if you reach the top, it does not make you happy. Most people lose themselves long before they get there."
He tapped Johnny's shoulder.
"But don't worry. Cassandra is no longer your problem. And since you managed to entertain me, I can send you and your friends back to your universe."
Johnny's face lit up.
"Seriously?"
He stepped forward, ready to hug Axel.
At that exact moment, Wade's head was sliced off by Logan. His body stumbled forward and crashed into Axel.
"Axel, I report abuse. Logan is out of control. Even Vanessa never hit me like this."
"Abuse? I should tear you apart," Logan growled. "All you ever do is talk about Vanessa. You're pathetic. You turn everything into a joke, even your own pain."
He slammed Wade's head into the ground.
Wade's body rushed over, grabbed the head, and reattached it.
Adjusting his neck, Wade smirked.
"That almost hurt my feelings. You actually made me think for a second. Impressive. I expected your brain to be completely soaked in alcohol by now."
He raised his blade and slashed at Logan.
Logan blocked with his claws. The two locked in place.
Then—
"Woof! Woof!"
Both froze.
Wade slowly turned his head.
An incredibly ugly dog stood in the distance, wearing a familiar red suit.
His eyes widened.
When he saw the unmistakable Deadpool costume on the dog, his expression transformed into pure delight.
"Oh my God… this is beautiful. Where did you come from?"
Without missing a beat, Wade carved a heart into Logan's chest, tossed aside his weapon, and began clapping excitedly at the sight of Dog Deadpool.
