Kao Dao Ji remained fixed in his position.
In his hands lay a pair of Gu named 'Yang Cloud' and 'Yin Cloud.'
Together they formed 'Yin Yang Dual Cloud.'
Like Yin Yang Rotation Gu, this pair of Gu acted together and were part of the same whole.
It was a bit similar to the concept of magnets.
Magnets, no matter what, always came with a positive and negative polarity; it was frighteningly difficult to produce one with a single charge.
Regardless, the appearance of this Gu was split in two.
Yin Cloud was dark and gloomy like ink, whilst Yang Cloud was bright and beautiful like foam. Once the two sides converged and the Gu Master injected Primeval Essence on both sides at once, there would be a resonance.
Lighting would come out in tides, initially weak but growing stronger in each passing second.
Or at least that is their most common function.
As previously mentioned, while difficult, it was not entirely impossible to split them; certain Killer Moves only employed certain halves.
Others applied different concepts and used their effects remotely.
The second concept sounded intriguing in Kao Dao Ji's mind.
In his mind, several Gu appeared.
"Stargate." "Moving perspective Cup." "Earth hole."
Several Gu followed this principle of 'two objects' that could be used to interact with one another.
There was also another concept from Earth named 'Quantum Entanglement', which spoke of the same; it followed a similar principle in which two particles would interact regardless of distance.
If one moved to the left, the other would go to the right.
And it was not the only case, there was also Hawking's Radiation and more phenomena that had already been studied.
"In both worlds, the same phenomenon repeats several times, which shows that is not just an isolated phenomenon.
Is the existence of Yin Yang duality a fundamental principle in physics, regardless of the universe, or is it just a mere coincidence?"
Unfortunately, it was impossible to answer this question with his current abilities, but if one day he gained enough power, he would figure out this answer.
Regardless.
"I have read some concepts of Yin and Yang, although it never gained enough properties to become a Path, several Gu Masters applied their concepts in the past.
Especially those of Qi Path, unfortunately, since Qi Path Cultivators have almost functionally grown extinct, a lot of information has been lost.
Luckily, there were plenty of registers in the Clan.
While not much, I built some understanding regarding them in the past months."
Kao Dao Ji squinted his eyes.
He had already deduced the outcome, but sometimes deductions differed from reality, and he needed to test the effects in reality.
Hopefully, he would not damage his aperture accidentally.
He took a deep breath.
From his aperture.
A Rank 5 Kettle was summoned.
Yin and Yang Gu were forcefully devoured and put inside it.
Kao Dao Ji summoned rain, that befell and rapidly filled the kettle whilst using Steam and other Gu's to rapidly boil the water inside.
In a matter of 30 seconds, it produced a high-pitched sound as water rapidly evaporated.
And like a bullet.
Yin was shot while flying outside his aperture.
Kao Dao Ji raised his two arms, performing a Bird Hand Seal.
The Yang Cloud that remained trapped inside the kettle shone with vibrant white colors, whilst the Yin Cloud also shone in dark purple.
Lighting rapidly flowed through this invisible connection.
The electricity current reached its peak.
And at this moment.
From the outside world, the nature of the universe suddenly unfolded; a tentacle as massive as a house took shape from a particle that seemed more minute than a grain of rice.
More than that, from the tentacle, one could see the perspective from the world within, but it was distorted like how water would look inside the water.
From within certain parts of his aperture, the focal point also changed.
One could see the world outside, but it was infinitely stretched and elongated; a sphere, for example, would look like a frisbee.
Of course, most people could not see this; only a small portion of the aperture stretched itself to move towards the target. Furthermore, most of the aperture was surrounded by clouds, which blocked the view.
Still, for the lucky few who witnessed this, it could be said to be a wondrous sight.
The remaining ones, however, felt the tremors of an unknown event.
The whole aperture trembled slightly, even the clouds themselves began to quake, and electricity flew endlessly.
Kao Dao Ji felt a sharp pain; he felt as if a pair of men were trying to pull out one of his arms each.
But the feeling did not last for long, as within mere instants.
The tentacle finally reached its destination.
And as it did.
It devoured the Yin Cloud.
And the tentacle rapidly shrank, retracting the aperture to its base shape.
"Hah…Hah…" Kao Dao Ji smiled despite still feeling the pain and aching.
"I was able to stretch my aperture for over 10 kilometers." He chuckled. While not a significant distance for Immortals, it was already a massive improvement over his past iteration.
Besides, even if now it was limited, the situation would change massively if he did as little as increasing the range by a tenfold.
Furthermore.
Using that ability to stretch out his aperture also gave him more insights.
For instance, could he not use Yin and Yang clouds as part of an auxiliary method to displace his aperture?
"Of course, there are still several flaws in my method. To use it, I need to shoot either a Yin or a Yang Cloud; regardless, the method is automatically cancelled, and I suffer a massive backlash if somebody destroys the cloud beforehand.
I need to reinforce the cloud in some stern stuff to prevent this, all without weakening my current effect.
Also, apart from the use of other auxiliary Gu Worms, I only am employing a singular copy of Yin and Yang Clouds. The limits should be a lot higher if I increase the amount correspondingly."
And yet.
Despite all the flaws, Kao Dao Ji's lips curled up into a massive smile.
"That does not mean that my method is weak or anything." He chuckled, recalling the pain he felt during his past Tribulation.
As a massive mist of Clouded Thoughts Gu took shape and surrounded him from all sides.
While he could not do anything so complicated just yet, he had the same tool.
"I can select the sub-portion of my aperture that is stretched and bent, and the targets that are hit by it will be transported to that subsection."
His smile widened.
"Heh. Heh. Heh."
"This means that I can basically force them to get inside a field where there are hundreds of thousands of Clouded Thoughts at once!"
"Star Constellation. I will make you regret giving me so many Wisdom Dao Marks." He laughed out loud.
…
Le Tu remained with his eyes closed.
While the others discussed and competed, he remained silent, merely studying Cultivation matters.
Yin and Yang specifically.
From Shung Mia Yin's inheritance, he discovered that Yin and Yang Qi could drastically alter the properties of each Path.
With Fire, Extreme Yin would produce flames that were superficially cold on the outside, but had a thin thread at the very center from which all the heat was redirected.
In other words, its outside had a temperature of -10 degrees or so, whilst the inside had hundreds of thousands of degrees of temperature.
Their color was of white like snow.
Whereas Extreme Yang merely amplified the output and heat of ordinary flames, also reducing the fuel they needed to sustain themselves.
The flames turned blue.
Shung Mia Yin's life goal was to fuse Extreme Yin with Extreme Yang to produce an utterly new, magnificent flame never seen across history.
Of course, she failed in the end.
Her purpose in choosing her successor was to make up for this regret.
Once Le Tu became her successor, she rapidly told him this and began to guide him in how to integrate Yang and Yin into his every move.
As to saying that he succeeded?
Well. He made some advancements that much was true, but were they usable?
Well…
He was working on it.
"Attention. All passengers. In roughly 2 minutes, we should reach our destination. So be prepared." One of the Wills within the Gu House spoke.
The expression of several Immortals changed.
Many of them made use of Gu's like 'Cleansing Water', to rapidly erase even the latest trace of mud and dirt.
Others headed to their rooms and arranged their clothing.
Whereas one of the Immortals suddenly opened his eyes widely.
"WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" A voice shouted inside his head; he felt such a huge shock that he hit his head against one of the walls.
"Ugh…Why the hell did I make such a loud alarm?" The Wisdom Path Immortal complained to himself whilst rubbing his head.
As a Wisdom Path Immortal, he was rather proficient in building his own wills, to arrange one that would activate inside his head was rather trivial.
It was a useful tool to recall important meetings.
It also could serve as a tool to protect oneself; several powerful immortals created inside their craniums wills that were active 24/7 and continuously looked for threats and dangers, letting the Gu Master themselves afford some peace and quiet whilst remaining safe.
Regardless.
Several other Immortals also made use of several Gu to cure their drunkness. In a matter of seconds, their eyes regained clarity.
Le Tu stood up calmly.
As the massive gates of the mansion opened and the mansion touched the ground, he began to walk with his arms behind his back elegantly and with tranquility.
Similar to them.
Several other Gu houses could be perceived from a distance; some had already landed a long time ago, others were still descending.
Still.
His gaze remained tranquil until suddenly ,from the corner of his eyes.
He saw a figure waving his arms at him.
Qiao Yun.
And his sister.
Who…
Looked pretty damn similar to him, except for having long hair.
The situation looked a bit eerie, but Le Tu merely coughed awkwardly, meeting their gaze with a warm smile on his face.
At the same time, observing this from a distance, sitting alongside the rest of the Immortals from his Clan, Uru Hong Jing smiled.
Despite his defeat, his gaze carried no hostility; on the contrary, there was deep admiration in his gaze.
"Ah…I've learnt so many things since that day, Le Tu. Such a shame we won't be able to fight during this rare meeting." He thought to himself, feeling some minor regret.
"That person you are seeing. Is he Le Tu?" A bald person with a sharp jaw spoke.
His eyes looked inquisitive, like those of a snake, with long pupils, but they were green and purple.
Uru Hong Jing nodded.
"Yeah, but why are you asking, ancestor?"
Uru Tan He smiled.
"Some people. Have a strong Fate. While I am not sure yet, I have my suspicions that he is the second man of the prophecy."
"Which prophecy?" Uru Hong Jing's eyes suddenly shone as he said those words.
"The three Venerables prophecy." Uru Tan He spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Uru Hong Jing frowned deeply. Although he knew that Le Tu's talent was absurd, he did not understand why his ancestor's evaluation was so great.
As if noticing his confusion, Uru Tan He suddenly spoke.
"As a Great Grandmaster in Rule Path, one can slowly discern the rules within all things. Even the ones of Heaven and Earth." He sighed.
"You would not understand, to be honest. I do not think even I do, but there's something iffy about Venerable's ascension. A secret that nobody has uncovered."
He let out a rough laugh.
"Perhaps the only ones who know are the Venerables themselves and the organizations they belong to."
"In any case.
Even if he never becomes a Venerable, as long as he lives. He is bound to make some splashes in this world.
Towards someone like him, even if we do not become his friends, we cannot become his enemies."
He sighed.
"To be honest. Part of the reason why I decided to make my Rank 8 celebration so grand was to gain an opportunity to meet him."
"Huh?" Uru Hong Jing stared at him, somewhat puzzled.
"I thought you did because you wanted to raise Reputation Gu to Rank 7."
"Hey. Can't a man do things for more than a reason?" Uru Tan He shrugged.
"Also. We should probably stop talking with each other telepathically."
"Why? Talking to each other like this is more fun. I am sure some of our guests are beginning to grow suspicious. Who knows, maybe they think we are plotting to kill them all or something."
Uru Hong Jing chuckled to the ancestor.
"That is exactly why this conversation should come to an end." The ancestor rolled his eyes.
"You are no fun." Uru Hong Jing crossed his arms and said those words out loud.
