I stood beside Elliot in the center of the manor while Hayley remained collapsed on the floor, her scent thick with panic and despair. Rey and the other pack guards exchanged uneasy glances, clearly stunned by how far she was willing to go just to keep her wealth and status. Watching her beg with no dignity left felt ugly, even to them.
Elliot's expression never changed. His Alpha aura pressed heavily against the room, cold and merciless, forcing everyone into silence. When his icy gaze landed on Hayley again, she immediately stopped crawling toward him.
"From the moment you harmed my grandmother," he said in a voice sharp enough to cut flesh, "you lost the right to own everything I gave you. My patience with you is gone, Hayley."
His words shattered the last bit of hope in her eyes.
