Chapter 68 - The Weight of Ordinary Things

I nodded and looked at Stacey. "What about AC? The audit for Quinn Corporation might take longer."

She gave a small nod, flipping through her notes. "It's going smoothly so far. No major issues yet."

I picked up the documents and started going through them, forcing my eyes to stay focused on the numbers and reports. My mind felt slower than usual, like something was dragging behind my thoughts, but I pushed through it. Halfway in, I suddenly remembered the trip and looked up. "What time is my flight to A City tomorrow?"

"Five in the morning," Stacey replied without hesitation. After a short pause, she added, "We're planning to wrap things up there in two days, so leaving early is necessary. A representative from Harrison Credit will join you."

I shook my head lightly. "I'll go alone. You stay here and assist Harrison Credit and AC. There's more to manage here."

She hesitated, like she wanted to argue, but then nodded. "Alright. I'll handle things here."
