"Do you know why?" I asked softly. Ashton didn't make decisions like this without reason. Every move he made inside the pack's territory of business always carried weight.
Stacey lowered her head slightly. "AC Credit missed a few details during the audit. Nothing serious, but Mr. Fuller was still angry."
I hummed once and didn't push further. If Ashton had already decided to send it back, then questioning it wouldn't change anything. He always saw further than what was written on paper anyway.
I turned away and poured water over the balcony plants, letting the calm movement settle my thoughts. The soft pull of life outside the office helped clear my head. "Anything wrong with HiTech?" I asked without turning back.
"No," Stacey answered quickly. "The market reacted well. But OrbitTech… there's trouble."
That made me pause. I looked at her.
