"If you're truly calm about everything, why leave Fuller Corporation like that? Letty, if you don't care, then prove it. End your bond with Ashton and walk away with your pride intact."
I held his stare without flinching, though something inside me pushed back at his words. His dominance was subtle but present, pressing into the space between us, testing for a reaction.
"It's not your place to decide how I handle my own bond," I replied evenly. "John, I appreciate your concern, but that's all it is. Don't interfere in my life again. We may have once been tied as family, so I'll ask this as a request."
My voice stayed calm, but firm enough to draw a line.
