Location: Living room
"Alice how to you want the arrangements to be?" Edward asked and Ava looked at her excitedly.
They were all done with their dinner and were now talking about engagement ceremony which was going to be held in three days.
"I don't want grand engagement ceremony", Alice stated trying her best to sound excited but internally she just wanted to disappear.
"Why?? I think it should be grand, I want to invite entire neighborhood", Ava said whining a little.
"But I want my engagement ceremony to happen in the presence of my close people only", Alice genuinely said and George too understood it .
"I have got no problem cuz I too want it to be as private as possible, just close ones around", George said.
"As you both say, shall we arrange the engagement ceremony in the garden area only?? " Edward asked on which both Alice and George nodded in sync.
"What about decorations or flowers, any suggestions?" Ava asked and Alices eyes flickered at the mention of flowers.
Alice come to Mama my love, look I brought liliacs for you, They symbolises first love and innocence, just like you are.
Alice thought about her mother and got a bit emotional, Ava noticed the slight expression change and asked, "Alice want to suggest any particular flower?"
"Liliacs ", the answer was short but Ava knew how much those flowers are meaningful for Alice.
"George which flowers you want?? We will combine them to make the decorations more beautiful", Edward said.
"Orchids", George replied and Nancy looked at him with slightly wide eyes, Orchids are her favourite and George used to pluck them and bring it to her when she was a kid.
"So liliacs and orchids it is, great then, I will have the arrangements done", Edward assured and everyone smiled at it.
Ava , Edward ,Mia and Julia were genuinely happy, Nancy smiled unknowingly maybe at the past memory of the bond she shared with her brother,
George was excited beyond words, and Alice was happy because her family was happy about Alex then that boy was already in his room sleeping soundly.
"This isn't fair", Someone stormed inside the living room, "Sofi, love walk slowly you are carrying our baby in your womb", Andrew trailed behind her almost catching his breath and on verge of panicking.
"Baby in your womb ", Alice processed the words said by Andrew, She froze , her bestie is pregnant, her eyes wide , she took some steps towards her only to get pushed aside by her.
"Yaah, why would you push me?" Alice asked getting up from the couch on which she just fell a while ago .
"Be thankful I didn't hit you with my slippers", Sofi angrily let out which made Alice gulp.
"Sofi, baby sit first then scold her as much as you want", Andrew concernly said, man was scared for his both babies safety.
Sofi sat on the couch and next to her sat Andrew, others also took their respective seats but this time Alice sat next to Sofi .
"You are Pregnant?" Alice asked with uncertainty, "You are getting married?" Sofi asked narrowly.
"Who is going to answer whose question first?" Ava asked breaking the silence of the two besties.
"Yeah, I am pregnant and I got to know about it some hours ago", Sofi answered first and soft ripples of gasps echoed the living room followed with a squeal of Alice who hugged Sofi tightly.
Smiling so wide that her cheeks hurt but she didn't care much, she was the happiest, atleast after the whirlwind of disastrous day something good happened.
George looked at Alice, he had seen her smile so genuinely the first time in this day, he was delighted to see her like that.
Somewhere sad that he wasn't the reason behind that smile, but still his heaven smiled, it was enough.
"I am so happy for you Sofi, congratulations, Congratulations to you too soon to be daddy", Alice let out happily and teasingly congratulated Andrew who bit back a laugh.
"Let me bring some sweets", Ava said getting up but halted when Sofi stopped her,
Sofi then faced Alice and asked, "You are getting married?" Alices' face immediately dropped, Sofi and Andrew both noticed, the only people who knew what really happened to Alice in past were them.
They knew how much Alice despised the idea of getting into relationship or worse marriage after that incident.
"I am very mad at you, but let it be I will get back at you afterwards but for now introduced me to your fiance", Sofi said softly trying to ease the tension which she saw building inside Alice.
Alice looked at her and then at Andrew both of them slightly nodded their head, a silent assurance.
Alice then looked at George whose eyes were on her only which made something stir inside her but she brushed it off and got up from the couch.
George too stood up and got close to her , they both stood infront of Sofi and Andrew
They looked like two lovers got caught kissing in the park by their parents and now it's the time for confrontation.
"Sofi, he is.." " George Walker, everyone knows, tell me apart from it", Alice was cut off by Sofi and what was she supposed to tell when Sofi only asked for introduction.
Sofi, George helped me escape my date by acting as my fake boyfriend, now this act has gone too serious that we are getting married in real life, like fake boyfriend girlfriend to real life husband wifey , Alice thought in her mind but couldn't say that out loud.
"Nice to meet you Sofi, glad to know I have been acknowledged by you, also apart from my professional life which is known by everyone, I am Alice Parkers Fiance and soon to be husband", George introduced himself with the confidence which made Sofi and Andrew both amused.
"Impressive", Sofi mumbled to herself, "Nice to meet you too Mr. George, hope you keep Alice happy", Sofi said, it wasn't her wish, it was a command which George was compelled to obey.
"How did you got to know about this marriage thing?" Edward asked and Alice too nodded, eager to know.
"I was feeling dizzy and nauseaous from morning itself, Andrew came in afternoon and suggested to visit a doctor, I refused but him being protective forcefully took me to the doctor,
I was having morning sickness from past few days but I ignored it thinking it might be some hormonal imbalance but then the doctor suggested me to take pregnancy test which turned out positive, me and Andrew we both were on cloud nine after hearing the news,
We took the reports and exited the doctors cabin when I found Jacob in the very same hospital, he looked worried, when I asked him he told that his mother suddenly got sick and was being examined and nothing serious happened the doctors had assured,
We were talking about casual things when he dropped the bomb of you getting married to his boss and hearing it I came directly here", Sofi explained.
Everyone nodded in understanding but looked at Nancy when she asked, "Is she fine, Jacobs mother, is she doing well?".
