Chapter 222 - Chapter 222

"The Hero License is one of the most important qualifications for professional heroes. Because it directly concerns human lives, the examination process is extremely strict."

The next morning, Aizawa-sensei stood at the podium with his hands resting on it, speaking calmly to Class A.

"Of course, you're not qualified to take the official exam yet. For now, your goal is to obtain a Temporary Hero License."

Looking at the students below, whose interest had already been stirred, Aizawa nodded in satisfaction and continued.

"Based on previous provisional license exams, even the highest pass rate has never exceeded fifty percent. Sometimes, it even drops to single digits. Every year, thousands of applicants participate."

"So hard?!"

"Seriously? This is just for a temporary license?!"

Many students who had never studied this topic in depth before were shocked. They had expected difficulty, but not numbers like this.

"Because of that," Aizawa continued, raising one finger, "I want each of you to at least develop the prototype of your ultimate move by today."

As soon as his words fell, the classroom door suddenly opened.

Cementoss, Midnight, and the ghost-like teacher Ectoplasm walked in together. These three would be responsible for guiding Class A's special training.

An "ultimate move" was a hero's signature technique—a decisive skill capable of turning the tide of battle. It carried strong personal characteristics and could never truly be copied. To some extent, it was a hero's symbol.

Since the provisional license exam was extremely difficult, the school had decided to help students refine these techniques in advance, giving them an extra trump card.

"Next, you will—"

Aizawa suddenly paused.

"…Why is there an extra person here?"

Only then did he notice someone in the classroom who clearly shouldn't have been present. No wonder the students' reactions had felt strange.

"This student couldn't wait for the semester to officially begin, so she came early," Cementoss explained awkwardly, scratching his head.

Standing beside the three teachers was a familiar girl.

Himiko Toga—the girl Class A had encountered in the forest.

She still wore her distinctive twin buns, but now she was dressed in U.A.'s uniform. Standing on her tiptoes, she smiled brightly at everyone.

"Wait, why is she here?" Yaoyorozu stood up immediately. "Wasn't she with the villains?!"

After all, it was a fact that Himiko had once been with the League of Villains. How could she suddenly become a student at U.A.?

Midnight stepped forward and explained calmly.

"After a thorough investigation, the police confirmed that this student had no serious criminal record. Her time with the League was short, and she didn't commit any major crimes. In fact, she provided valuable intelligence to the authorities."

"Because of that, she was given a chance at rehabilitation. After comprehensive evaluations, U.A. judged her to be qualified and assigned her to this class."

In reality, another reason was her strong desire to enroll—and her unstable personality. Keeping her at U.A. also made supervision easier.

Moreover, the police had discovered that her original motivation for approaching the villains was related to Masata. She was practically obsessed, like a fan chasing an idol. Since Masata was already in Class A, the authorities believed that placing her nearby might help stabilize her.

Aizawa sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"This is your new classmate. She was supposed to join at the start of term, but a few days early won't matter. Introduce yourself."

Himiko showed no stage fright at all.

She stepped forward happily.

"Hello, everyone! My name is Himiko Toga! My favorite thing is Masata, and the thing I hate most is anything Masata hates!"

The entire class froze.

She was beautiful. Her voice was cute.

But that introduction was… completely insane.

"H-Hey…" Kaminari whispered to Mineta. "Isn't this girl a little… dangerous?"

Unfortunately for him, Himiko's hearing was excellent.

She turned and answered cheerfully.

"Yes! I like Igarashi Masata the most!"

"AAAAAAAH!!!"

The boys collectively screamed inside their hearts.

Why did every beautiful girl seem to be connected to Masata?!

The gap between people was too cruel!

Kaminari grabbed his head and slammed it onto the desk repeatedly. Sero slumped over, lifeless. Mineta's eyes turned red as if he might bleed at any moment.

"Her personality is… troublesome," Aizawa muttered.

This class was gaining yet another problem student.

"You'll sit in the back row," he said, pointing to a newly added desk behind Masata. "That seat was prepared this morning."

From the moment Himiko appeared, Masata's mood had completely collapsed.

He clearly remembered that she had tried to collect his blood before.

They barely had any real interaction!

So why had she chased him all the way to U.A.?!

As Himiko walked toward him with an increasingly bright smile, Masata glanced sideways.

Yaoyorozu's eyes looked strange.

Chacha had turned around, clearly worried.

Masata felt despair rising in his chest.

"U.A. is terrifying…"

"I want to go home."
