When everyone heard that it was finally time to visit Masata's room, the interest that had faded earlier instantly reignited.
"The undisputed strongest in the class!"
"The muscular handsome guy!"
Not only the girls, but even the boys were completely hooked by curiosity.
"Masata, your room must be just like mine!" Kirishima said confidently. "After all, we're both passionate men!"
His room was filled with "Never Give Up" and "Certain Victory" posters, along with all kinds of fitness equipment. It was so packed that it was hard to breathe inside.
Because of this, he had also earned second place on the girls' internal ranking of 'Rooms I Never Want My Boyfriend to Have.'
As for first place?
Naturally, that honor belonged to Mineta.
Midoriya and Kurosawa Yoru were also full of curiosity. Masata had always relied on hard work and training to build his strength—maybe they could learn something from his room layout.
"I'm afraid you'll be disappointed," Masata said helplessly, seeing their expectant faces.
"My room is pretty ordinary."
He opened the door without hesitation.
Inside, the room was clean and simple.
A neatly made bed with a light-blue quilt stood near the wall. A warm-colored desk lamp rested on the bedside table. A soft, high-quality carpet covered the floor. Across from the bed was a computer desk decorated with several small flower pots, adding life to the space.
On the balcony window, several strings of wind chimes hung quietly, reflecting pale white light under the moon.
"I never thought you'd be so meticulous, Masata!"
"My brother! Why did you betray our manly alliance?!"
"So you like minimalist style too?"
Listening to everyone's noisy reactions, Masata rubbed his temples and pushed away Kirishima, who was about to cry dramatically.
"I told you. My room is simple. These were all arranged for me."
Originally, Masata's room had been even plainer—just a bed and a desk. He only used it for sleeping anyway.
But when Yaoyorozu had come to "inspect" it before, she thought it was too empty and personally decorated it. That was how it became what everyone saw now.
"No wonder it feels so girly!"
"Yaoyorozu really has good taste!"
"So even the young lady is surprisingly homey!"
The girls immediately abandoned Masata and surrounded Yaoyorozu instead.
Meanwhile, the boys started glaring at him suspiciously.
"Masata, you're way too lucky," Kaminari muttered darkly.
"Yeah, this is unfair," Sero agreed.
"Bastard! There must be something R-rated hidden in here!" Mineta shouted wildly.
"I'll find it!"
Masata grabbed Mineta by the collar and lifted him up.
"Hey, calm down. It's just a room. Why are you all so dramatic?"
If they knew that at home he enjoyed things like being fed, lap pillows, and gentle wake-up calls, they'd probably lose their minds.
"Damn it! Why do you sound like a married man? Think about us single guys!" Kaminari complained, tugging his collar.
Mina clapped her hands.
"Next, let's check out the girls' rooms! Then we'll choose a Room King!"
"The First Class A Taste Contest—Start!"
"Oh? That sounds interesting," Masata said, intrigued.
As a man, how could he refuse visiting girls' rooms?
"I think this is dangerous…" Jiro muttered, blushing nervously.
But it was too late.
Her room immediately shocked everyone.
"This is even more intense than expected!"
"There are enough instruments to form a band!"
"As expected of our rock girl!"
Her room was black-and-white themed, with checkered patterns on the walls and ceiling. It gave off a strong punk vibe.
Masata curiously fiddled with one of the speakers.
"Jiro, can you even use all this stuff?"
"M-more or less…" Jiro replied shyly, tugging at her earlobes.
"This doesn't feel girly at all~"
"Yeah, not ladylike at all!"
Kaminari and Sero laughed smugly.
The next second, Jiro snapped her earlobe jacks forward and smacked them both in the forehead.
"Next room. Now."
Everyone moved on quickly.
Next came Kurosawa Yoru's pink-themed room, Ashido's modern-style room, and Asui's unique space.
Asui had actually built a small pond in the middle of her room.
Everyone was stunned.
"My room is pretty ordinary…" Chacha said shyly as she opened her door.
Her room was simple and traditional, with tatami mats and a small electric fan. It felt nostalgic, like an old countryside house.
"It's nice," Masata said, lying down comfortably. "I miss houses like this."
The boys stared at him in disbelief.
Finally, it was Yaoyorozu's turn.
The moment they walked in, everyone froze.
"It's exactly the same as Masata's room?!"
Except for a large bookshelf, the layout was almost identical.
"Well, that's normal," Kurosawa Yoru said. "They were decorated by the same person, after all."
Suddenly, she spotted something.
"Hey, what's this?"
She picked up a photo frame from the bedside.
Inside was a picture of two small children.
"Ah! That—!" Yaoyorozu's face instantly turned red. "That's… a childhood photo of me and Masata."
"Huh?! This chubby kid is Masata?! No way!"
Everyone crowded around.
The slightly plump kindergarten boy looked nothing like the muscular Masata of today.
"Damn childhood friends…" Kirishima muttered bitterly.
After visiting all the rooms, everyone gathered in the lobby to vote secretly.
Mina announced the results.
"And the winner of Room King is—Sato Rikido!!!"
With six overwhelming votes, Sato won thanks to his homemade cakes.
As for room design?
Who cared?
The cake was delicious.
