Chapter 479 - Magic Communication and New Teigu Design

The most important feature of the new communication terminal was that it required no main station or signal towers to function. Even without any external infrastructure, users could communicate normally with one another.

Its effective communication range extended to thousands of kilometers, and it was completely unaffected by terrain or environmental interference.

Compared to traditional devices, it was vastly superior—even better than walkie-talkies in every aspect.

Not only did it eliminate the need for dedicated maintenance stations and personnel, but it also significantly improved reliability. There was no signal interference, no sudden disconnections, and no frustrating static noise.

The addition of real-time positioning greatly enhanced team coordination, while video communication marked a qualitative leap in how information was transmitted.

Once the device was introduced and tested in actual use, it was immediately praised by Ria and the others.

Previously, they had believed that walkie-talkies were sufficient and saw no real need for change.

But as with many things, the difference became obvious once a comparison was made.

Faced with a communication terminal that was more powerful, more stable, and far more versatile, the old walkie-talkies quickly felt outdated and inconvenient.

The interference-free communication alone was enough to win them over. In the past, walkie-talkies would often produce static noise, distort messages, or even lose signal entirely at critical moments.

Now, those problems were completely gone.

In addition, the real-time positioning feature allowed team members to monitor each other's locations at any time.

As the team captain and coordinator, Ria was especially impressed by this function.

It significantly reduced her workload. She no longer needed to constantly study maps and estimate where her teammates might be. Instead, she could simply refer to the markers displayed on the terminal and compare them directly with the map.

This made coordination faster, more accurate, and far less stressful.

Other team members also found the feature invaluable. Being able to see their teammates' positions at any moment gave them a much stronger sense of security, especially when operating alone in dangerous environments.

With unanimous approval from everyone involved, the magic communication terminal was officially adopted as the primary communication device for all external missions from Great Tree Village.

Xin was naturally satisfied with the results.

He simply smiled, said nothing more, and turned his attention to his next task—developing Teigu.

However, this proved to be far more challenging than expected.

For the time being, Xin had no clear idea what kind of imperial equipment would best suit Ria and the others.

Take, for example, a powerful artifact like Esdeath's Demonic Essence. When pushed to its limits, it could even freeze kinetic energy, producing an effect similar to stopping time itself.

But such overwhelming power was not easily replicated with other elements.

It wasn't practical to give everyone the same type of ability.

While it might be possible to equip all of them with something similar to Demonic Essence, doing so would make their abilities too uniform and predictable.

Worse still, if an enemy were to discover a way to counter that specific power, everyone using it would be placed in serious danger.

Because of this, Xin decided that it would be better to design a variety of Teigu, each with different abilities and characteristics.

However, this decision brought its own difficulties.

Designing multiple unique and powerful artifacts required both creativity and careful planning—and at this moment, Xin found himself at a loss.

For the first time in a while, he struggled to come up with a truly effective and innovative design.
