Chapter 482 - War Armor Prototype

The reinforced chestplate was not designed merely for frontal defense.

It functioned as the core of the entire armor system.

Within it were embedded high-density magic batteries and miniature reactors, forming a dual-layer energy supply that powered all armor functions. More importantly, the surface of the chestplate was covered by a spatial barrier—an advanced defensive field that could not be penetrated by conventional means unless special countermeasures were used.

This spatial barrier extended upward and enveloped the helmet as well, creating a near-complete protective shell around the wearer.

In addition, the armor itself was constructed as biological armor, allowing it to partially absorb external impacts and distribute damage away from the pilot. This ensured the greatest possible preservation of life and stabilization of vital signs even under extreme conditions.

However, the helmet was far more than a simple protective shell.

It contained a spiritual synchronization system, allowing the armor and its wearer to connect at a mental level. This made control of the entire suit far more intuitive, almost like an extension of one's own body.

It also provided the user with over two hundred degrees of enhanced perception, along with a wide-area visual interface. The effective sight range support reached up to fifteen kilometers.

On top of that, it included spatial scanning magic, effectively granting the wearer "vision" through obstacles within a hundred-meter radius. No movement or energy fluctuation in that area could escape detection.

A real-time danger alert system covered a five-kilometer range, continuously warning of threats and anomalies.

Communication functions were equally advanced. Friendly units within a thousand-kilometer range could be contacted instantly without interference, and vision-sharing functions even allowed teammates to directly see through each other's perspective.

In simple terms, this was no longer just armor.

It was a full-scale war instrument.

A battlefield control system disguised as personal equipment.

"…The only issue is that the performance requirement for the user is a bit high."

Xin looked at the finished design with satisfaction, then sighed helplessly.

The base structure already came from a Teigu-level system like the Demonic Essence, which itself placed a heavy burden on the user. Even though he had tried to minimize that strain through design optimization, the final result still ended up far more demanding than expected.

In fact, the parts he had managed to reduce were almost immediately offset—then amplified—by the sheer number of added functions.

There was no helping it. The system was simply too packed.

Even with mental synchronization assistance, an ordinary user would struggle to process all the available information.

It wasn't a question of whether the armor could be used.

It was a question of how much of its power could actually be utilized.

To fully operate this system at maximum efficiency required extreme multitasking ability.

At minimum, the wearer would need to divide their attention into several streams:

One for weapon control and targeting.

One for movement, flight, and tactical maneuvering.

One for battlefield analysis and environmental awareness.

And in team scenarios, yet another layer would be needed for communication and coordination with allies.

In large-scale engagements, the mental load would increase even further.

And that was without even accounting for combat stress or physical strain.

In short, the armor demanded a mind that could remain clear and operate at extremely high speed while simultaneously bearing immense physical pressure.

It was not just equipment.

It was a test of both body and mind.
