"No wonder they say it's hard to train fighter pilots. With this level of control requirements, of course it wouldn't be easy."
Xin couldn't help but sigh.
But the armor had already been completed. There was no point hesitating now—it had to be tested in actual conditions.
So he went to find Esdeath again, intending to let her be the first pilot.
There were several reasons for choosing her.
First, her physical strength—excluding the boost from her Teigu—was around the middle tier in Great Tree Village. She was stronger than ordinary girls, but still below the elf girls in raw physical capability.
Second, and more importantly… she was the most "idle."
Due to her unique personality and abilities, Esdeath was one of the few people in the village without a clearly fixed workload. Almost everyone else had assigned duties, while she remained relatively free.
Well—excluding Sakura.
But Sakura was basically treated as a mascot of the group. Her existence itself was already considered a kind of "work."
The third reason was the most important.
Xin wanted to test whether Esdeath, who already wielded an enhanced version of the Demonic Essence, could still operate this new armor without issues.
If even she couldn't handle it, then he would have to design a separate system specifically tailored for her.
Without further delay, Xin placed his hand over the completed armor.
A flash of light erupted.
In the next moment, the massive suit of armor dissolved into particles and reformed into a slender bracelet resting on his wrist—compact, elegant, and completely unassuming.
"Put it on your left hand," Xin instructed. "Then release your mental power to establish a connection. After that, just think 'equip' in your mind."
Esdeath nodded, took the bracelet, and calmly fastened it around her wrist.
She closed her eyes slightly and followed his instructions.
The bracelet lit up instantly.
A soft glow spread outward, engulfing her entire body.
In the blink of an eye, the light condensed—and then vanished.
Where Esdeath once stood, a fully armored figure now appeared, encased in the completed war suit from head to toe. The design was sleek yet heavily fortified, its presence alone radiating pressure.
"You okay?" Xin asked quickly.
Esdeath's voice came through the internal communication system.
"Hmm… it feels slightly heavy, but it's manageable."
At the same time, she began moving, slowly adjusting to the armor's control system, testing her mobility and response speed.
Xin exhaled slightly in relief.
"Good. Next test—try using the Demonic Essence at the same time."
This was the most critical part.
If the armor prevented her from using her original abilities, then the entire design would be fundamentally flawed.
Because in that case, it wouldn't be an enhancement system anymore—it would be a replacement that restricted the user rather than empowering them.
And that would defeat its entire purpose.
