Chapter 493 - A Guided Visit in the Goddess’ Domain

"Please don't be nervous. We don't mean any harm. We are just here to visit."

Seeing that Eris had gone straight to the point, Hephaestus quickly clarified their stance on behalf of everyone.

After that, she openly explained the existence of Great Tree Village and the situation of herself and the others.

"If there are any taboos or rules we might be violating, we can leave first and return after obtaining formal permission," she added politely.

To avoid any misunderstanding, Hephaestus spoke as clearly and respectfully as possible.

She had already learned from Xin during their journey that this world had its own gods—beings powerful enough that even Great Tree Village needed to treat them with caution, at least for now.

Because of that, she remained very polite, doing her best to avoid unnecessary conflict or misunderstanding.

Eris listened carefully to her explanation, then shook her head slightly.

"No, since there is no conflict of interest, there is nothing to be cautious about. Since you are here as guests, it is actually my fault for disturbing your enjoyment."

She paused briefly, then continued.

"Next, as the host, I will personally guide you around as an apology for my earlier presumption."

Eris carefully processed everything Hephaestus had told her.

Since the other side were not gods who relied on faith, there was no direct conflict of interest between them.

As long as they did not interfere with belief systems, then everything was negotiable.

Moreover, based on the special nature of Great Tree Village, if what Hephaestus said was true, then this group was clearly an external force worth building a relationship with.

Because of that, Eris decided to take the initiative to accompany them.

On one hand, it was to observe them further and verify whether their claims were true.

On the other hand, it also served as a form of supervision—just in case Hephaestus was hiding something or had ill intentions.

"Then we will trouble you," Hephaestus replied calmly, accepting the suggestion without hesitation.

She, Xin, and the others were all aware of Eris's intentions, but no one pointed it out directly.

"So, where were you planning to go next?" Eris asked. "Is there anything in particular you want to see?"

"We were planning to visit the Adventurers' Guild," Hephaestus answered. Then she added, glancing at Xin, "This guy in our group is very interested in the job transfer system in your world."

She casually pointed at Xin to make it clear.

Xin nodded slightly and stood up.

"Yes," he said calmly. "I think there are many aspects of this system that are worth studying. If possible, I would like to take a closer look."

Now that everything had been laid out in the open, Xin no longer hid his intention to learn and analyze the system for himself.
