Under everyone's gaze, the three Esdeaths finally made their move against the invading monster group.
Esdeath took the lead, immediately activating the ice elemental magic she had just obtained through her job change. A biting cold surged outward from her feet, spreading rapidly across the ground. In an instant, the grassland in front of her was transformed into a frozen field of ice and frost, as if winter had been forcibly summoned into this place.
Many monsters were caught off guard and frozen in place before they could even react. Their movements stiffened, their momentum completely halted by the sudden drop in temperature.
Without wasting a second, Kanae seized the opportunity. She raised her hand and activated one of the limited offensive skills available to the High Priest class—more precisely, a high-tier holy technique commonly found among sacred professions.
"Holy Light Sanction."
Golden beams of light descended like precise divine lasers, striking the immobilized monsters one after another. The light shattered the ice encasing their bodies, and at the same time, it obliterated what remained beneath it.
The frozen monsters were eliminated instantly, their forms breaking apart into scattered fragments. Even those not completely destroyed suffered severe damage, losing most of their combat ability on the spot.
In just one coordinated exchange, roughly a quarter of the entire monster group was wiped out. Nearly half of the remaining enemies were crippled or left in a severely weakened state, their initial threat level drastically reduced.
Yet the surviving monsters showed no hesitation. Ignoring the destruction of their companions, they continued their charge forward, driven purely by instinct and aggression.
At that moment, Busujima Saeko finally entered the battle.
From the three-in-one weapon integrated into her armor, two sharp blades extended smoothly with a mechanical click. At the same time, the wing-like components on her back activated, lifting her slightly off the ground.
With a sudden burst of acceleration, she flew low across the terrain—so fast she appeared to skim just above the surface. In an instant, she had already infiltrated the center of the monster formation.
Her movements were precise and efficient.
She opened both arms, and the twin blades danced in rapid succession. Each strike was clean, controlled, and fatal. Combined with her footwork and aerial momentum, she cut through the monsters like they were nothing more than vegetables being harvested.
One after another, the creatures fell without resistance.
Not to be outdone, Esdeath and Kanae also transitioned into close combat. Their weapons shifted into dual-blade forms as their wing systems activated, propelling them forward into the heart of the battlefield.
Although the three of them were fighting independently, they maintained a natural spacing that allowed for occasional cooperation. Their movements did not clash—instead, they flowed around one another, creating an unspoken rhythm of combat.
In particular, Kanae and Saeko, who had already developed a habit of fighting together, demonstrated seamless coordination. Esdeath, on the other hand, operated with complete freedom, moving wherever she pleased and inserting herself into openings as she saw fit.
Still, Esdeath was not the type to accept help without repayment. Whenever she received assistance or cover, she would deliberately find opportunities to return the favor, striking back at enemies threatening the others.
This subtle exchange created an unusual balance. Despite their independent fighting styles, the three of them formed a surprisingly harmonious battlefield structure.
At least, that was how it appeared to Eris.
From her perspective, the trio had never communicated verbally during the fight, yet their coordination was flawless. It gave the impression that they had been fighting together for years, perfectly attuned to each other's timing and movement.
She couldn't help but feel impressed.
However, the reality inside their armor was entirely different.
Within the closed communication channel shared by their biological armor, the atmosphere was anything but calm or silent.
In fact, it was extremely lively.
If one were to describe it honestly, it was closer to a chaotic group conversation than a coordinated combat channel. Voices overlapped, tactical calls mixed with casual remarks, and occasional disagreements or playful exchanges filled the space.
As the saying goes, three women together can already create a lively discussion—but in this case, it felt closer to a dozen people speaking at once.
And yet, despite the noise, their coordination in battle remained perfect.
