Chapter 176 - Chapter 175: Academic Discussion

Hearing Flandre's words, the others felt both exasperated and amused. After explaining the reason to her, Flandre finally realized what was happening.

"So those bad people are afraid of me, that's why their hearts are beating faster! So Flandre has done another good deed!"

"Hahaha!" Remilia reached out and pinched Flandre's cheek; she adored her sister's naive yet slightly dazed and lucky appearance.

In the evening, after dinner, people started arriving one after another at the place where Flandre and the others were staying. On Rhodes Island's side, besides Logos and Pith, there was another caster traveling with them. After sitting down, Logos introduced him as Victor, who was also a master of Magic. Then, the Reunion Movement's side also took their seats, led by several cadres.

The exchange hadn't started yet, and everyone was chatting with each other. The restless Flandre was wandering around in the crowd. After Flandre approached the Rhodes Island group, she looked at Victor.

"Are you from Leithanien?"

Victor looked at the girl in front of him with some surprise. They had met a few times before, but not often; he hadn't expected her to recognize his origins at a glance.

"I met an old professor when I was in Zwillingstürme before. Your aura is very similar to his."

Although Leithanien's Magic had various styles, perhaps influenced by the Witch King or the Güldenes Gesetz, high-level Leithanien Magic placed great emphasis on chanting. This caused Leithanien casters to often speak with a rhythmic and modulated cadence, as if they were performing an opera. Flandre's words piqued Victor's curiosity.

"I know a few professors from Zwillingstürme. I wonder which one you met?"

"His name is Fremont. He's a super powerful person." Saying this, Flandre looked at Logos. "I showed him that surgery we did before, and he tore your performance to shreds."

Hearing Flandre's words, Logos felt somewhat indignant. Although he had sent a copy back to Rhodes Island, he was still very satisfied with all the methods he had used during that surgery. At this moment, Victor spoke up from the side.

"Fremont... I've heard that name. He's someone who lives in seclusion year-round. It's said his level is very high, but he basically never attends Magic exchange meetings at the various academies."

Hearing this, Logos became even angrier. Why would someone who didn't even dare to attend academic exchanges dare to evaluate his Magic?

"Oh, I remember he said one thing... 'How did Laqeramaline teach this child? This Magic is used so rigidly it makes an old fossil like me want to laugh. Have the Banshees done nothing but maintain their voices and neglected to research or update their Magic for all these years?' Yes, that's exactly what he said at the time."

Hearing this, the previously angry Logos suddenly sat up straight. He was all too familiar with the name Laqeramaline, because that was his mother. But this name was almost unknown to the outside world. Someone who knew his mother was definitely no ordinary person. Moreover, from the tone Flandre imitated, it sounded like the other party might have a decent relationship with his mother.

"What does that Mr. Fremont look like?" Logos asked.

"Hmm, an old scholar with a goatee. He has a very bad temper, but he really likes to lecture. And his knowledge is incredibly vast. After listening to him, I learned so many things!"

At this, Flandre remembered she seemed to have brought a set of recordings, so she said she had them and would give him a copy after the exchange ended. Logos nodded, intending to watch Flandre's recordings carefully after the session. Firstly, he wanted to see who exactly this person who knew his mother was, and secondly, he wanted to know if his Magic was truly as pathetic as the other party claimed.

After Flandre said goodbye to Logos, she immediately spotted a big fellow in the crowd. It was someone sitting in the Reunion Movement's team. Because the person was massive, they were sitting at the very back.

"Big sister, don't you feel hot wearing such thick clothes?" Flandre approached the person and curiously examined the protective suit they were wearing.

"Big sister?" Hearing Flandre's words, Alina and her group looked over in confusion.

"Yes, big sister!" Flandre answered affirmatively.

"Sorry, I forgot..." The person known as Mudrock took off her armor, revealing the white hair and red eyes underneath.

For a moment, everyone was stunned.

"Mud... Mudrock, you're a girl!" Red was shocked, nearly jumping up. He never expected that the civil engineering bro who usually pounded the ground and moved earth, would suddenly turn into a white-haired, red-eyed civil engineering sister.

"Didn't I mention it?" Mudrock asked with a blank expression.

Red covered his face, thinking back on what had happened before and feeling like he had utterly humiliated himself. Flandre circled around Mudrock curiously.

"Big sister, don't you feel hot wearing such thick clothes?"

Mudrock shook her head, indicating she didn't.

Just then, Remilia called out to Flandre from not far away, saying that everyone was present and the exchange meeting was about to start, telling her to come back and sit still so as not to disturb everyone. Flandre obediently said goodbye to the others and walked back to Remilia's side.

Seeing that no one was speaking, Patchouli stood up first.

"Since we initiated this exchange meeting, then I, despite my lack of talent, will first share my understanding of Magic..."

As the Seven-Colored Enchanter, a witch skilled in the seven elements of metal, wood, water, fire, earth, sun, and moon, and also known as the "Walking Library," Patchy's knowledge was undoubtedly top-tier. As the saying goes, one can tell a master's skill as soon as they make a move. As soon as she started speaking, the people from the Reunion Movement listened with some confusion.

Meanwhile, the experts from Rhodes Island, who were already skilled in Magic, all sat up straight. They were deeply shocked in their hearts. Because the woman in front of them, wearing a nightgown and looking quite frail, did not appear very old. But the depth of her knowledge truly shocked them. Crucially, the level of her lecture was perfectly balanced; it wasn't boring for those who had studied Magic for years, nor was it completely incomprehensible to those from the Reunion Movement who had just begun systematic Magic studies.

Patchouli spoke for nearly an hour before sitting back down due to physical exhaustion. After everyone looked at each other, Logos from Rhodes Island stood up, walked to the center of the crowd, and shared some insights regarding Sarkaz Incantations.

Although Sarkaz Incantations were relatively ancient, that didn't mean old things were useless. On the contrary, these ancient Sarkaz Incantations remained the most effective Magic to date. Although non-Sarkaz people had to convert these incantations into Originium Arts suitable for themselves to use them, it had to be admitted that the mysterious nature and heritage of Sarkaz Incantations laid the foundation for modern incantation studies.
