Chapter 177 - Chapter 176: Academic Discussion II

As a descendant of the Banshee lineage, Logos was naturally well-versed in the ancient witchcraft of the Sarkaz. There were two people in the entire room who were most interested in his witchcraft. One was in the Gensokyo group; her name was Patchouli Knowledge. The other was in the Reunion Movement group; her name was Mudrock.

Logos also noticed the latter. It was rare to meet such a stunning Sarkaz girl, and one who listened to his lecture with such relish, unlike the others nearby who looked bewildered. As for the others in the room, probably only that Blood Demon girl, who was playing cat's cradle with her sister, understood what he was talking about.

After Logos finished, Pith took the stage. Her lecture was more accessible; since she specialized in copying the Originium Arts of others, she had conducted extensive research into Originium Arts themselves. Therefore, what she spoke about was easier for everyone to understand. Coincidentally, she had served as a teacher for a long time during the Babel period, so she was no stranger to this kind of teaching environment.

Seeing that everyone's attention was on her, she began to explain issues related to Originium Arts in even greater detail. This time, the Reunion Movement members acted like students, speaking up to ask questions from time to time.

"Eno, your Originium Arts are very special. Used well, they could benefit countless Infected, but used poorly... So, when we return to Rhodes Island this time, I suggest you come with us. Rhodes Island has the best medical and teaching teams. There, you can study oripathy and your Originium Arts alongside Terra's leading oripathy researchers. This will be very beneficial for your future growth."

Pith spoke very sincerely, and Talulah felt quite moved upon hearing this. The Reunion Movement could offer very little help to Eno. She had also had contact with other members of Rhodes Island before and could confirm that they were indeed an organization dedicated to researching oripathy. Eno's abilities would only have a limitless future there.

Talulah nodded. "We will discuss this properly with Ino."

Seeing this, Pith did not push further. She nodded and passed the lecture baton to the next person. The person who stepped forward this time was someone no one expected—it was Mudrock. But she wasn't there to give a lecture; she was there as a student to ask questions. She looked at Logos and posed several of her own questions.

Upon hearing her questions, Logos looked her over with great surprise. The things she asked were not something an ordinary Sarkaz would know. Particularly, some Incantations involved the power of the Royal Courts. Logos looked at her, a spark of anticipation in his eyes.

"May I witness your Originium Arts?"

Mudrock did not refuse; or rather, when she stepped forward, she had already intended to reveal herself. Under everyone's gaze, Mudrock's hand swept across the ground. Her hand easily plunged into the hard concrete as if it were melted butter. Then, she was seen grabbing a handful of soil, which transformed into a small earthen figure in her hands.

Seeing that earthen figure, Logos's expression turned to one of realization. He stood up and gave a respectful bow to Mudrock.

"Good evening, children of earth and stone. We thought your lineage had long since vanished into history like the Diabolos, but I never expected to see its emergence here on the land of Ursus. This truly delights me."

"Children of earth and stone, what is that?" Remilia asked Flandre in a low voice.

"Sister, you know the Sarkaz race is divided into dozens of different categories. They include sub-races such as the Goliaths, Nachzehrer, Blood Demons, Banshees, Wendigos, Gargoyles, Diabolos, Cyclops, Liches, and Damazti. The ten strongest sub-races form the Ten Royal Courts that constitute the primary military force of the Sarkaz. Like the Sanguine Court for the Blood Demons, and the Elegiac Court represented by that Logo's mother... Gargoyles are also one of the Ten Royal Courts. Because they are closely connected to the earth and are highly skilled in earth-related Originium Arts, they are honored as the Children of Earth and Stone."

Flandre explained to Remilia in a low voice. "Gargoyles branch hasn't appeared among the Sarkaz for a very long time. It was once thought they had perished in history, just like the Diabolos."

After Flandre finished, Remilia nodded in understanding. Then the group looked at Mudrock, also surprised. Since the Gargoyles had chosen to live in seclusion, why had she come out?

However, this was undoubtedly good news for the Sarkaz. After all, the Diabolos were confirmed to be extinct. And the last pure-blooded Wendigo could no longer give birth to another of his kind. The Cyclops had gone to the north and seemed to have no intention of returning. The Liches had gone into hiding and were nowhere to be found. Now, the entirety of Kazdel's final combat strength was actually being held up by only two Royal Court Armies: the Blood Demons and Nachzehrer.

Another reason Logos was happy was that the Gargoyles were a kind race. They would never accept Theresis's leadership, meaning they were natural allies for Rhodes Island.

Knowing her identity, Logos's explanations became even more detailed. With Mudrock leading the way, others also began to ask the experts present about their own doubts regarding Originium Arts. Soon, the exchange meeting turned into a large-scale categorized teaching session.

However, everyone was very satisfied with this outcome. The exchange meeting continued until late at night before ending. Everyone gained a lot, especially the Reunion Movement. Their foundation was the weakest; except for Talulah, the others' knowledge was generally not high. This teaching session undoubtedly greatly improved everyone's understanding of Originium Arts.

After returning to Rhodes Island, Logos looked at the videotape Flandre had given him when he left, and then looked at Pith nearby.

"That girl Flandre said our previous surgery was criticized to pieces. Shall we watch together and see how that professor actually evaluated it?"

Pith stretched her back. "You're in high spirits. Oh well, we don't have any work anyway. If it weren't for Flandre and the others' arrival, we probably would have started our return journey. Staying up late to watch a video is no problem. It's a good chance to organize my thoughts. By the way, what do you think of that Ms. Patchouli?"

Logos recalled how her analysis of various elements during the exchange was incisive, and her understanding of various Magic opened his eyes. He couldn't help but remark, "She lives up to her reputation. Setting aside Sarkaz witchcraft and looking only at the study of nature and elements, her level is likely on par with my mother's."

Pith nodded. "Ms. Patchouli's views are very similar to the research on Originium Arts in Leithanien. Speaking of which, Victor, you performed very well today. I saw that the content you explained to those Reunion Movement people regarding Originium Arts was very impressive. Are you interested in teaching a group of students when we get back? If you can take on this responsibility, Kal'tsit should be very happy."
