"Now!" At Son Goku's thunderous roar, Gohan's spirit ignited. He bellowed in response, finally unshackling every ounce of his hidden potential. The golden Ki of Super Saiyan 2 erupted like a supernova, instantly reversing the tide of the struggle and pinning Cell beneath a mountain of pressure. Gohan didn't give the bio-android a single heartbeat to breathe.
Stepping forward with grim determination, Gohan funneled his life force into the Father-Son Kamehameha. Behind him, the shimmering phantom of Son Goku stood tall, their combined Ki forming a tidal wave of blue energy that dwarfed the dying Cell.
"No… impossible… I… how could I…" Cell's voice broke, his arrogance replaced by a primal terror as the wave consumed him. Under the sheer weight of Gohan's resolve, every single cell of the monster was vaporized. The regeneration that had haunted them for so long was finally silenced. Cell was gone.
With the dust settling, Krillin and the survivors gathered the fallen, carrying the bodies of Android 18 and Trunks away from the scorched earth. As they vanished into the horizon, a bumbling reporter approached Mr. Satan, who stood amidst the rubble. Seeing no one else left to claim the victory, the world champion took a deep breath and took the credit for defeating the ultimate evil.
Watching from across the Wanjie Multiverse, Uzumaki Naruto pumped a fist into the air. "Great! Gohan actually won!"
Zoro leaned against his swords, a rare smirk crossing his face. "Yeah, that's a real miracle right there."
Across the dimensions, viewers rejoiced. The people of the Dragon Ball Earth shouted themselves hoarse, knowing that if the young Saiyan had failed, their world would be a graveyard. However, this also sparked a wave of disdain toward Mr. Satan. How could their future selves worship such a fraud?
In the New World, Kaido of the Beasts took a deep swig of sake and scoffed. "If I were Cell, I wouldn't accept it. How can a dead man reach back from the grave to help his brat?" Little did the Governor-General of the Beast Pirates know that while he might not face ghosts, he would soon encounter a rubbery brat who refused to stay down, growing stronger with every "sit-up." Akira, watching the screen with the tactical eye of a transmigrator, knew the irony of Kaido—the "Instructor"—complaining about power jumps when he was destined to trigger the awakening of the Nika Fruit himself.
"Speaking of which," Garp mused, rubbing his chin, "Cell is finished. Why is the video still going?"
Sengoku nodded thoughtfully. "The narrator usually discusses more than just transformations. There must be a deeper lesson here."
On the Lookout, Dende's healing light restored Gohan and Android 18. Krillin remained by 18's side, his feelings written clearly on his face, though the icy cyborg showed no interest and departed. Soon, the sky turned pitch black as they summoned Shenron. These new Dragon Balls, crafted by Dende, could grant three wishes. Their first priority was reviving the innocent lives snuffed out by Cell, followed by bringing Trunks back to life.
But when it came to Son Goku, Shenron's eyes glowed a dull red. "I cannot revive the same person twice."
Dende suggested traveling to Planet Namek to use their Dragon Balls, but suddenly, the familiar, cheerful voice of Son Goku echoed in their minds. He told them that Bulma was right—he was a magnet for trouble. He believed Earth would be safer if he stayed in the afterlife. His calm acceptance didn't shock his oldest friends; Goku had always been this way.
With one wish left, Krillin made a surprising request: to turn the Androids into humans. When Shenron admitted he lacked the power to alter their mechanical biology, Krillin instead asked to have the bombs removed from their bodies.
He admitted he thought 17 and 18 were a good match, unaware that 18 was eavesdropping from behind a nearby pillar. She stepped out, sharply correcting him that 17 was her twin brother, but as she flew away, she whispered a soft "thank you" to the bald warrior.
The next day, Trunks bid them farewell and returned to his timeline. The narrator's voice returned to guide the audience through the aftermath.
"The saga of Super Saiyan 2 and the Androids ends here. In the future, Trunks easily eliminated the 17 and 18 of his world, as well as the Cell of his timeline, finally bringing peace to his era. But now, let's look at the hidden truth behind Son Goku's choice."
"Bulma's theory holds weight. Nearly every threat to Earth was tied to Goku. King Piccolo was the exception, but his reincarnation sought revenge on Goku. Raditz came for his brother. Vegeta and Nappa came for the Dragon Balls and to kill the traitor Saiyan.
Frieza sought vengeance for his humiliation on Namek. And the Androids, including Cell, were the legacy of Dr. Gero's hatred for the boy who destroyed the Red Ribbon Army. From a certain perspective, Son Goku is the catalyst for every disaster."
Goku and his friends on the Lookout went silent. It was a heavy realization, but they knew the narrator was half-joking. While Goku's existence may have drawn the lightning, he was also the lightning rod that saved them. In the Dragon Ball world, no one was foolish enough to truly blame him. Without him, the Earth would have been cosmic dust years ago.
