"Is he telling the truth, Son Goku?" The Supreme Kai asked, his voice trembling as he looked for some sign of exaggeration. He simply couldn't fathom it. Dabura, the King of the Demon Realm, was a nightmare that kept Shin awake at nightâan entity he considered second only to the looming shadow of Majin Buu. To hear a mortal dismiss him as "insignificant" was like hearing a grain of sand claim it was heavier than a mountain.
Goku rubbed the back of his head, offering a casual shrug. "Hmm... well, seven years ago, we fought a guy named Cell. His power was probably right around where Dabura's is now."
Goku didn't need to say more. The implication hit the Supreme Kai like a physical blow: Cell had been the peak of terror seven years ago, but to the current Z Fighters, that level of power was yesterday's news. At that moment, Shin finally suffered a crisis of faith. He realized he didn't just misunderstand the Saiyansâhe was completely blind to the scale of their evolution.
In the dimensional chat, Duanmu Yan couldn't help but comment. "The Supreme Kai is finally having his 'Aha!' moment. Surely he'll stop acting like a panicked rookie now, right?"
Li Xinnan added, "But think about itâif Dabura is as strong as Cell, and Babidi has him running errands like a common thug, that wizard really is the 'strongest mage in the universe.' His magic must be terrifying."
The viewers were shaken by the sheer pace of the power scaling. Duanmu Yan, drawing from his days as a gamer before becoming an Armor Summoner, summed it up perfectly: "I get it now. Dragon Ball is like an MMO. The final boss of the last expansion is just a common mob in the next one. The remnants of the old era truly cannot board the ship of the new world."
The audience looked back at the history they had witnessed. Vegeta, the terrifying invader, became a servant to Frieza. Frieza, the emperor of the galaxy, became a punchline for the Androids. And now Dabura, a peer to the bio-android Cell, was a mere pawn for Babidi. It left everyone wondering: if Majin Buu is the "End Boss" now, what kind of monsters are waiting in the next update?
Back in the video, the second round began. Son Goku stepped forward, his eyes bright with the thrill of a looming challenge. Guarding the second floor was a creature straight out of a nightmare: Yakon, a towering, dark green beast with sickle-like claws and a jagged, reptilian frame.
"Yakon!" the Supreme Kai gasped. Despite his recent realization, his old habits died hard. Seeing the beast, he faltered again. "Goku, you can't face him alone! Vegeta, Gohanâyou have to help him!"
Vegeta and Gohan didn't even acknowledge him, leaning against the wall with bored expressions.
Yakon was massive, but he moved with a sickening, fluid speed. He lashed out with extendable claws, catching Goku off guard and shredding his orange gi. Though Goku wasn't wounded, Babidi decided to tilt the scales. With a cackle and a wave of his wand, he cast a spell that plunged the room into absolute, suffocating darkness.
"This is the Star of Darkness," Shin whispered, his panic returning. "Yakon's home world at the edge of the universe. Not even the light of a star reaches this place! Goku is blind!" He turned to the others again, pleading. "Go in! He'll be slaughtered!"
Again, he was met with silence. Inside the darkness, Yakon stalked Goku, his movements silent and his predatory eyes seeing everything. He lunged for the kill, expecting a quick end. Instead, Goku danced around his strikes with fluid grace, eventually landing a heavy kick that sent the beast reeling.
"You... you can see me?" Yakon hissed in disbelief.
"I don't need to see you," Goku replied calmly. "Your movements create a flow of Ki in the air. Besides, there are plenty of ways to light this place up. For example..."
With a sudden roar, Goku flared his Ki. The darkness was shattered by a violent explosion of golden light as he transformed into a Super Saiyan. The room was no longer a void; it was as bright as high noon.
In the chat, Vice Admiral Garp leaned forward. "I've noticed this for a whileâthese fighters sense something called 'Ki.' It lets them track targets without their eyes. How does it work?"
Kakashi adjusted his headband. "It sounds a lot like Sensing-type Jutsu. Is Ki just another name for Chakra?"
"Not quite," Toriko chimed in. "Ki is the primordial energy of the Dragon Ball world, much like Gourmet Cells or Chakra, but the density is on another level. It doesn't just power their strikes; it allows them to defy gravity and move at speeds the eye can't follow."
Kurosaki Ichigo nodded. "Flying is a standard for them. Even someone like Videl, who just learned the basics, can soar through the sky. In most of our worlds, that's a high-tier ability."
Duanmu Yan wondered aloud, "We have a saying about 'fighting for a breath of Qi.' Is that related?"
Krillin decided to clear the air. "Actually, Ki is inside everyone. It's the life force itself. If you run out of Ki, you're dead. Most people just never learn how to tap into it or control it."
The multiverse erupted with excitement at Krillin's words. "Everyone has Ki?" If that were true, could theyâthe viewersâtap into that power? They didn't need to be Super Saiyans. If they could achieve even one percent of what an Earthling like Krillin or Yamcha possessed, they would be among the strongest in their own worlds.
