Sengoku stared at the screen, his voice trembling with disbelief: "An entire universe... just vanished? Erased that easily?"
Duanmu Yan gripped his fists, his face pale: "Terrifying. It is truly terrifying!"
The audience across the Wanjie Multiverse had known for some time that Zeno possessed the power to wipe out existence at will, but witnessing the act was a different matter entirely. In many of their home worlds, the sheer scale of a single universe was a concept beyond comprehension.
Most of these warriors could not even destroy a moon, let alone a galaxy. Even in the high-powered Ultraman and Toriko worlds, no one would ever dare claim the ability to annihilate an entire reality.
Yet, in the Dragon Ball World, the destruction of a universe seemed as casual as breathing. The two Zenos merely raised their small hands, and in a flash of light, billions of lives and countless stars were snuffed out.
According to the narrator, a single universe in the Dragon Ball World was more than four times the size of a standard universe in other dimensions.
This meant that if Zeno wished to erase their worlds, he wouldn't even need to raise his hands; a simple flick of his finger would suffice. The only reason he moved his arms at all was likely because he found the gesture amusing.
The realization sent a chill through every viewer. Is this the existence that stands at the absolute pinnacle? It was no wonder the Gods of Destruction, beings who could shatter planets with a tap of a fingernail, trembled in his presence. Even the twelve Gods of Destruction on the spectator stands looked on with immense shock.
While they had heard rumors that Zeno once erased six of the original eighteen universes in a fit of pique, seeing it happen before their eyes was an entirely different level of psychological pressure. This was Zeno—the one who transcends all.
In the stands, Quitela, the God of Destruction of Universe 9, stood alongside his Supreme Kai with a grim expression. Their universe was the first to fall. In the timeline of the Tournament of Power, Universe 9 had been erased almost as soon as the battle began.
Across the remains of that reality, countless souls spent their final moments cursing their own ten contestants. They didn't blame Universe 7 for the defeat; they blamed the stupidity of their own warriors.
If those ten hadn't immediately wasted their Ki by aggressively targeting Goku and Vegeta, Universe 9 might have survived by playing the sidelines. Instead of securing their future, their obsession with Universe 7 had ensured their total annihilation.
Beerus smirked at the comments, his golden aura flickering slightly: "I think you guys should really kowtow to Son Goku. If it weren't for him, the Tournament of Power wouldn't even exist. Our eight universes would have been vanished like Universe 9 without us ever knowing why. Instead of thanking him, you idiots blame him and target our universe!"
Beerus was genuinely displeased. To many, Goku's request to Zeno seemed like a reckless gamble that put trillions of lives at risk. However, since Zeno had already planned to erase the lower-ranked universes anyway, Goku's actions had transformed him from a villain into a savior who provided a slim margin of hope. The other seven universes owed their very chance at survival to a Saiyan's hunger for a good fight.
The Gods of Destruction from the other universes remained silent, unable to find a retort. Even the usually abrasive Champa and the conniving Quitela held their tongues.
Sengoku sighed: "The first universe has been erased. I wonder who is next."
The audience understood that Universe 9 was only the beginning. Six more universes were destined to fall until only one remained. Would it be the resilient Universe 7? Or would it be Universe 11, backed by the monstrous strength of Jiren—a mortal whose Ki surpassed even that of a God of Destruction? As the fighters on the stage realized the stakes, the air grew heavy with the pressure of their combined Ki.
On the battlefield, the erasure of Universe 9 caused a momentary silence. The contestants hadn't seen the destruction itself, but they saw the empty seats where the fighters and gods of Universe 9 once sat. Panic began to set in.
To avoid the void, they had to win. On the spectator stands, Akira observed the tactical shifts with a transmigrator's keen eye, noticing how the desperation was changing the flow of combat. The Supreme Kai of Universe 1 remarked coldly that the sacrifice of Universe 9 was necessary; it was the price of the "glimmer of hope" Goku had secured.
Because of this grim reminder, the fighting intensified. Warriors pushed their limits, their auras clashing with enough force to shake the Void World. No one wanted to be the next to vanish. Amidst the chaos, the second casualty of the tournament emerged: Universe 10.
Their final and strongest contestant was eliminated by Gohan, who fought with a cold, focused precision. Unlike the frantic screaming of Universe 9, the residents of Universe 10 met their end with a somber composure.
"Universe 10's participants weren't particularly strong, so their elimination was expected," Tien Shinhan noted, crossing his arms as he watched the recording. "But I have to say, aside from the madness of Zamasu, the most memorable part of that universe was their Angel, Kusu. After all, who wouldn't have a soft spot for such a small, cheerful guide?"
