Chapter 99 - Wine Tasting

Monk Hugo and the others arrived.

Each and every one of them looked fierce and tough, completely lacking the appearance of monks.

They looked more like a gang of bandits.

Hugo and his group had sprinted all the way here.

Upon learning that Quinn Ye had been captured, Hugo and the others were furious.

How dare someone capture our sacred and inviolable Holy Son of the Buddhist sect?

How could this be tolerated?

So, Hugo and the others rushed vigorously, heading straight for Lintian City.

Although they had run here on their own two legs.

Because Cloud-Drifting Mountain wasn't too far from Lintian City, they hadn't arrived too late either.

"Holy Son!!!"

Hugo and the others were overjoyed when they saw Quinn surrounded by Emperor Dominic Su and the others.

Quinn smiled.

"Even you guys came."

Hugo and the others hurried over.

They looked him up and down, and seeing that Quinn was completely unharmed, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

"As long as the Holy Son is fine. You nearly scared this poor monk to death!" Hugo said, patting his chest.

"Master Hugo, we also rushed over as soon as we heard that Young Master Quinn was in trouble. Fortunately, Young Master Quinn is unharmed," Dominic said to Hugo.

Hugo pressed his palms together.

"Many thanks to Your Majesty, and many thanks to the three Sect Masters."

"You're too polite."

After exchanging pleasantries, Hugo turned his head to glare at William Yang.

"You audacious scoundrel, how dare you disrespect the Holy Son of my Buddhist sect? What crime should you be charged with?"

The Holy Son of the Buddhist sect?

William was dumbfounded again.

Just what kind of monster did I fucking provoke?

Emperor Dominic and the three great Sect Masters had all mobilized to save him.

Even the Buddhist monks had been alarmed.

What kind of sin did I commit?

If I had known this guy had such a massive background, I wouldn't have provoked him even if you beat me to death.

William was filled with immense regret.

But regretting it now was useless.

"I..."

For a moment, William didn't know how to respond.

Quinn quickly said, "Hugo, let it go, let it go. This whole thing was just a misunderstanding. Don't make things difficult for him."

Hugo looked deeply moved.

"The Holy Son is magnanimous and is truly a model for my Buddhist sect. Hugo is extremely full of admiration!"

Quinn felt a burst of awkwardness.

Hugo's skill at flattery has truly reached the pinnacle of perfection; he just opens his mouth and it comes right out.

However, Quinn also found it quite pleasant to hear.

"William Yang, although Young Master Quinn has forgiven you, it doesn't mean you are completely off the hook," Dominic said coldly.

William froze.

"This Emperor will inform your Royal Father and let him deal with you."

William sighed.

"I understand."

"Go back to your Profound Origin Empire."

"Yes!"

William left, hanging his head in dejection.

Although he had only been slapped once, to William, the whole experience felt like a dream.

He had inexplicably offended a massive big shot.

The crucial point was that even now, William still had no idea what kind of background this big shot actually had!

Didn't those monks just call him the Holy Son of the Buddhist sect?

Could it be that this person is a transcendent expert of the Buddhist sect?

The more William thought about it, the stranger he found it.

But for now, it was more important to return to the Profound Origin Empire first.

William left with his men.

Meanwhile, Dominic and the three Sect Masters were all invited back to Cloud-Drifting Mountain by Quinn.

After all, they had made a special trip here to rescue him.

No matter what, he had to thank them properly.

Dominic and the three Sect Masters were overwhelmed by the unexpected favor.

They were all very happy to visit Cloud-Drifting Mountain as guests.

And they harbored a faint anticipation in their hearts.

I wonder what kind of fortuitous opportunity awaits us on this trip to Cloud-Drifting Mountain?

Quinn also invited Hugo and the others.

But Hugo and the monks politely declined.

Quinn didn't insist. Anyway, Hugo and the others lived right at the foot of Cloud-Drifting Mountain, so it was easy enough for them to come up whenever they wanted.

The group returned to Cloud-Drifting Mountain.

Dominic and the three Sect Masters all dismissed the men they had brought with them first.

Just the four of them followed Quinn up to Cloud-Drifting Mountain.

Upon reaching the mountain, they didn't see Finn Guo come out to greet them.

All four found this a bit strange.

"Young Master Quinn, where is your esteemed disciple?" Lance Xu asked curiously.

"He went to Northern River," Quinn said casually.

Went to Northern River?

Hearing this, all four were somewhat surprised.

Things were perfectly fine, so why did he suddenly go to Northern River?

However, seeing that Quinn didn't seem to want to talk about it, they didn't ask further.

For fear of displeasing him.

"Hmm? Why are there a few more demonic beasts in the courtyard?"

Upon arriving at the front of the courtyard, all four saw the three demons inside and couldn't help but freeze.

Dominic's expression, in particular, changed drastically.

Aren't these the three shape-shifting demonic beasts that led the horde of demons to attack the Imperial Palace that day?

Why are they all here?

And why have they all turned into this appearance?

Seeing Dominic arrive, the three demons were also very scared.

Especially when they saw that the three great Sect Masters were also present; they were so frightened they shivered.

Big Fuzz lay off to the side, lazily basking in the sun.

To Big Fuzz, these were all small scenes.

"Demonic beasts? These three little guys aren't demonic beasts; they're just ordinary wild beasts," Quinn said with a smile.

The four men looked at each other.

These three are clearly demonic beasts, it's just that for some reason, their true forms look so juvenile.

But since Quinn said they were wild beasts, then they were ordinary wild beasts.

Anyway, in the eyes of a transcendent expert like you, there's absolutely no difference between demonic beasts and wild beasts.

Dominic, however, was a bit worried.

Since the three demons are here.

Then where is the Purple Cloud Flood Dragon that left with them?

Could it also be here?

"You four take a seat first, I'll get you something good to drink," Quinn smiled mysteriously.

All four were somewhat restrained.

Although it wasn't their first time here, having Quinn serve them tea and water every time really made them a bit apprehensive.

In less than a moment.

Quinn came out carrying a wine jar.

Seeing this, all four were startled.

He wants us to drink wine.

All four revealed smiles.

They were all figures of status; what kind of fine wine hadn't they tasted?

The four of them thought to themselves that although Quinn Ye was a transcendent expert, the wine he brought out might not necessarily be better than the famous wines they had drunk before.

"This is wine I brewed myself. It's just about time to unseal the jar, so it's perfect for you guys to have a taste."

As Quinn spoke, he poured a bowl of wine for each of the four.

The liquor wasn't very clear and had a slight yellowish tint.

However, the aroma of the wine was extremely strong.

Just from smelling this aroma, all four couldn't help but have their eyes light up.

What a potent aroma!

Just from smelling it, they felt a burst of heat spread all over their bodies.

They didn't even need to think about it.

This was definitely a strong liquor.

"Hurry and have a taste," Quinn looked at the four with full anticipation.

"Then it would be impolite of us to decline."

Dominic and the other three picked up their bowls and each took a sip.

As this first mouthful of wine went down.

The expressions of all four men changed.

A flush of red rapidly appeared on their faces.

Their breathing also grew rapid.

It felt like it went straight to their heads.

"How is it? The taste of this wine isn't bad, right?" Quinn asked with a beaming smile.

The four of them didn't speak.

Because at this moment, their throats felt burning hot, as if they had swallowed a mouthful of knives.

It was truly an exhilarating and intense sensation.
