Chapter 100 - The Joy of Drinking

"This wine... is so spicy!"

After holding it in for a long time, Gary Gongsun finally squeezed out this sentence.

"It's not just spicy; the aftereffect is also very strong," Chad Chen said while sucking in a breath of cold air.

All four of them had only taken a single sip, yet they were already feeling it go to their heads.

It was evident just how potent this liquor was.

"I once drank a type of wine transported from the Great Tang of the East. It was also extremely potent and overbearing, but compared to this wine, it still seems to fall short."

Dominic Su looked full of admiration.

Seeing that all four of their faces had turned red, Quinn Ye couldn't help but feel a bit surprised.

"No way? You guys are like this after just one sip?"

The four of them looked up in unison.

"Young Master Quinn, this wine is indeed very strong."

Quinn frowned, poured himself a bowl, and directly downed it in one gulp.

He smacked his lips.

"It's not that strong. It's still quite a bit lacking compared to Baijiu."

What Quinn had brewed was Yellow Rice Wine.

According to his estimation, it should be slightly stronger than ordinary Yellow Rice Wine.

But it shouldn't be anything overly exaggerated.

Yet these four men had only taken one sip, and their faces were already flushed.

This made Quinn wonder if he had made a mistake during one of the brewing steps.

But after drinking it.

Quinn found that the wine was actually okay.

It wasn't too spicy.

It was entirely within an acceptable range.

Could it be that the wine the people drink here has a very low alcohol content?

This was the only speculation Quinn could come up with.

Meanwhile, seeing Quinn down a bowl of wine in one gulp, the four men were all somewhat astonished.

None of them had used their cultivation to dissolve the effects of the alcohol.

If they had used their cultivation to dissolve the alcohol, then naturally, it would be nothing.

But Quinn clearly hadn't used his cultivation to dissolve the alcohol either.

Yet he actually showed no signs of it going to his head at all.

This was a bit frightening.

Could it be that not only is Senior Quinn's cultivation unfathomably deep, but his alcohol tolerance is also bottomless?

The four men couldn't help but think this way.

Since Quinn had finished his in one gulp, the four didn't dare to neglect either and hurriedly drank all the wine in their bowls.

"Come, let me fill you up." Quinn poured another full bowl for each of the four.

Looking at the wine in their bowls, all four felt a bit daunted.

It was truly a bit hard to handle.

With a bowl of wine down their stomachs, all four felt a burning sensation in their bellies, and waves of heat surged toward their four limbs and hundred bones.

It had gone straight to their heads!

Among the four, the one with the lowest alcohol tolerance was Lance Xu.

He didn't usually drink much, so with this bowl of wine down his stomach, not only was he breaking out in a hot sweat all over.

He even became somewhat hyperactive.

He felt a sensation of feeling light and airy, as if floating to become an immortal.

An indescribable comfort.

He even wanted another bowl.

"We can't just drink wine; I'll go whip up a couple of dishes to go with it."

Quinn put down the wine jar and then ran into the kitchen. The four men didn't dare pour the wine themselves, sitting there properly and obediently.

Meanwhile, the three demons in the courtyard watched the four men sitting rigidly upright, all feeling extremely amazed in their hearts.

"It seems this person truly is a peerless transcendent expert; even the four of them have to be this reverent."

"These four are the absolute top experts of the Heavenly Martial Empire, yet here, each one is more obedient than the last."

"Say, if the four of them get drunk, will they come looking for trouble with us?"

...

The three demons muttered to themselves, pointing at Dominic and the other three from time to time.

Big Fuzz continued to yawn.

It was high noon, and the sunlight was fierce, making Big Fuzz feel drowsy from basking in it.

The Rabbit, on the other hand, was diligently gnawing on a radish not far away.

As if none of this had anything to do with it.

In a short while, Quinn came out carrying four dishes.

All of them were bar snacks to go with the wine.

A plate of smashed cucumber salad.

A plate of peanuts.

A plate of pig's head meat.

And a plate of braised chicken feet.

Quinn had made all of them himself.

The four men had never seen such dishes before and were very curious.

"Hurry and have a taste," Quinn greeted them warmly.

The four then each used their chopsticks to take a taste.

"Delicious!"

The four men said in unison.

Whether it was the refreshing smashed cucumber, the fragrant and crispy peanuts, or the pig's head meat and chicken feet, they were all incredibly delicious.

Although they were all very ordinary things.

The taste was extremely comforting. With these four dishes to go with the wine, naturally, they had to have a few more drinks.

Quinn exchanged cups and clinked glasses with them.

Before they knew it.

A whole jar of wine had hit the bottom.

Quinn's face had also turned red.

But he was still very clear-headed.

However, Dominic and the other three were starting to lose their grip.

Lance Xu was already lying sprawled on the table, mumbling something incoherently.

Dominic sat there deadpan, his drunk eyes blurry, as if he still thought he was holding court.

Gary Gongsun hugged the now-empty wine jar, giggling foolishly.

Chad Chen was silently shedding tears, not forgetting to stuff pig's head meat into his mouth even while crying.

Looking at the four of them like this, Quinn knew they were completely wasted.

He also felt a bit of a buzz coming on.

It could only be considered a slight tipsiness.

This state was what Quinn found the most comfortable.

If he drank any more, he would truly get drunk.

Quinn didn't disturb the four of them.

He went back into the house, lay down, and slept for a while.

When he woke up.

He found that these four guys were all sleeping like dead pigs.

And they were lying sprawled out on their backs in the courtyard.

Among them, that guy Gary Gongsun was actually hugging The Rabbit in his arms.

The latter had a look of wanting to be done with life.

Quinn smiled and went back inside to continue sleeping.

Until dusk arrived.

Quinn leisurely woke up.

He had slept very comfortably. Meanwhile, in the courtyard, Dominic and the other three had also sobered up.

The four looked at each other, all recalling the situation when they were drunk earlier.

They couldn't help but find it somewhat funny.

How many years had it been?

None of them had ever been this drunk before.

Today, they had truly let loose for once.

"Are you all sobered up now?"

Quinn pushed the door open, stepped out, and said to the four of them.

All four looked a bit embarrassed.

"We've made a fool of ourselves in front of Young Master Quinn."

Quinn waved his hand.

"What's there to make a fool of? Drinking is all about relaxing and being happy. It's fine to drink a bit too much, as long as you don't engage in crazy drunken antics."

The four men all looked at each other and smiled.

Right at that moment.

All four of them suddenly froze.

Immediately following that.

A silhouette surfaced in each of their minds.

This silhouette seemed to be demonstrating a set of martial arts.

The moves were bizarre, and the actions were tricky.

Yet they contained boundless variations, flowing however the heart desired, making it impossible to defend against.

All four were shocked.

They exchanged glances with one another.

Confirming that the others had seen the exact same scene as they had.

What is going on here?

The four of them were full of doubts.

But in the next moment.

They looked at Quinn in unison.

And then it suddenly dawned on them.

This must be a gift from Senior Quinn!

Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that all four of us saw the exact same martial art?

It must be that Senior Quinn took the opportunity while we were drinking to secretly impart it to us.

The four of them were incomparably excited, even thrilled beyond measure.

They wished they could kneel down and kowtow to Quinn right then and there.

The martial arts demonstration in their minds finished.

Following that, a detailed manual of the martial art appeared in their hearts.

At this moment.

All four of them knew what the martial art they had obtained was.

Drunken Fist!
