"You're going to... 'serve' me your 'noodle'?"
The woman was momentarily stunned. Wait, did I hear that right? Is this young master being that forward?
She couldn't help but steal a subconscious glance at Quinn Ye's lower waist, her heart pounding. He wants to show me how a real one 'feels' like? Right here in the kitchen?
Quinn, however, had already headed straight for the back kitchen, his mind filled only with the perfect ratio of chili oil and vinegar. The woman finally snapped out of it and hurriedly followed him, her face flushing with a mix of confusion and anticipation. Ezra Yin, Arthur Chu, and Rosie Song followed, their faces twitching.
In the kitchen, another woman was kneading dough. She looked quite similar to the woman outside but was younger.
"Sister, what's going on? Why is your face so red?"
"Nothing... this young master wants to... 'serve' me his 'special noodle'..."
Quinn didn't care what the sisters were thinking. He only wanted to show off his god-tier culinary skills. He rolled up his sleeves and got to work. From kneading the dough to completion, it took him less than an hour.
"Done!"
Quinn wiped the sweat from his forehead, his face dusted with flour. Before him stood five bowls of Oil-Sizzled Noodles!
Ezra's group and the sisters all looked at the dish with confusion. "Hurry and try it. Mix the noodles well before eating," Quinn urged.
Ezra, Arthur, and Rosie took a bite. Instantly, their expressions changed. This taste... it was simply divine! The aromatic chili oil and vinegar truly whetted the appetite.
Even Rosie, who couldn't handle spicy food, had flushed cheeks but couldn't stop eating. The sisters also picked up the bowls and began eating without any regard for their image. Compared to Quinn's creation, their own noodles were utter rubbish.
They were literally crying from the spice, yet it was so delicious they were addicted. Quinn himself polished off two bowls, feeling thoroughly satisfied.
Meanwhile, outside in the shadows, Barnaby Qin watched with a blank stare. Why did they run into the kitchen to eat? Is that noodle shop extraordinary?
"So, Shopkeeper, is my 'noodle' better?" Quinn put down his chopsticks and said with a beaming smile.
The sisters were embarrassed. They had opened this shop to secretly poison customers. Now, they were speechless.
"Let's go." Quinn was full and ready to leave.
"Young Master, please stay." The two sisters stepped in front of Quinn. Suddenly, they moved against him!
Quinn was startled, but Ezra and Arthur were on high alert. They stepped forward simultaneously, blocking the sisters. The women turned pale; they were only at the Source Gathering Stage, while the two men were Golden Core Realm experts.
"Audacious!" Arthur Chu glared, about to strike.
But the two sisters suddenly knelt before Quinn. "Young Master, please take us in!"
"My name is Luna Liu, and this is my sister, Stella Liu," Luna said pitifully. "We are being hunted and opened this shop for protection. Seeing how extraordinary you are, we beg you to take us in. We are willing to serve you for the rest of our lives."
They put on a bashful, submissive look. Quinn swallowed his saliva, his mind beginning to wander. But he quickly calmed down. "How does a noodle shop provide protection?"
"The noodles we make contain a special medicinal powder. Just one bite, and the person will become absolutely obedient to us."
Hearing this, Ezra and Arthur felt a wave of lingering fear. If they had finished the whole bowl, they would have been controlled.
"We only attacked to test your strength, Young Master. Please forgive us."
Rosie Song said calmly, "Forget it. Young Master Quinn won't take you in."
"Indeed. Young Master Quinn has principles," Ezra Yin added.
"Young Master, we beg of you." Luna Liu blinked her beautiful eyes.
Quinn swallowed again. "Alright then. You two can follow me."
