Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Library

After the lesson on Summoners and Magicians, Krishak did not return directly to his dormitory.

Instead, he made his way toward the most important building in the academy after the cultivation halls.

The Central Library.

If strength was the weapon of a cultivator, then knowledge was the whetstone that sharpened it.

And Krishak had always valued knowledge above all else.

The library stood near the center of the academy grounds.

It was a ten-story structure built from polished black stone and reinforced glass.

Golden runes shimmered faintly across its walls, forming a protective barrier.

Rows of ancient trees surrounded the building, giving the area a quiet and solemn atmosphere.

As Krishak stepped through the entrance, he felt a subtle spiritual pressure.

The academy clearly took the protection of its books seriously.

Inside, towering shelves stretched in every direction.

Students moved quietly between the aisles.

Some read at long wooden tables, while others studied digital terminals connected to the academy database.

The scent of paper and ink filled the air.

Krishak's eyes brightened.

Krishak presented his student identification card.

The librarian, an elderly woman with sharp eyes, examined it and raised her eyebrows.

"Rank One first-year student."

She handed the card back with a small smile.

"You have access to all first- and second-tier collections, as well as limited access to the restricted archives."

Krishak bowed slightly.

"Thank you.

"

This level of access was already generous.

For someone with his long-term goals, it was invaluable.

Krishak spent the afternoon exploring the library's catalog.

He identified several areas of immediate importance:

History of Earth after the Spiritual Awakening

Beast classification and ecology

Awakener professions

Cultivation theory

Ancient ruins and artifacts

Geography of restricted zones

Political and economic organizations

He also noted the existence of a sealed section containing records on unusual phenomena and unidentified energy signatures.

That would be worth investigating later.

Krishak began with the historical archives.

Roughly one hundred years earlier, Earth had undergone a sudden increase in spiritual energy.

Animals and plants mutated.

Humans awakened extraordinary abilities.

Civilizations were forced to adapt rapidly.

Entire governments were reorganized.

The parallels with his own arrival were obvious.

Krishak already suspected that the fragment of energy from his previous body had triggered this transformation.

The records strengthened that suspicion.

One section particularly captured his attention.

All over the world, mysterious ruins had appeared in the decades following the Awakening.

These sites contained unknown technology, unusual materials, and cultivation resources.

Some experts believed the ruins were remnants of ancient civilizations.

Others believed they had been drawn to Earth by the increase in spiritual energy.

Krishak's eyes narrowed.

If his celestial energy had altered Earth, it might also have attracted dormant structures or entities from beyond the planet.

That possibility could not be ignored.

The academy's cultivation texts were basic compared to the techniques of the wider cosmos.

Still, Krishak studied them carefully.

Understanding Earth's common methods would help him teach others more effectively.

He quickly noticed several flaws:

Overemphasis on rapid breakthroughs.

Insufficient focus on purification.

Poor body-tempering practices.

Minimal attention to mental discipline.

These shortcomings explained why many Earth cultivators plateaued early.

Krishak made mental notes for future improvements.

As evening approached, Krishak accessed a restricted report.

The document described an unidentified source of spiritual disturbance detected somewhere within the solar system.

The report contained no definitive conclusions.

Most researchers assumed it was a naturally occurring anomaly.

Krishak's expression became thoughtful.

He strongly suspected the disturbance was connected to the sealed body he had hidden before reincarnating.

Even after all these years, traces of its power remained detectable.

Fortunately, no one on Earth appeared capable of reaching it.

When Krishak returned several books to the front desk, the elderly librarian looked at the titles and smiled.

"Most students your age prefer combat manuals."

Krishak responded politely.

"Understanding the world is just as important as understanding how to fight."

The librarian studied him for a moment.

"That is a rare perspective.

She lowered her voice.

"Knowledge can become a greater source of power than any technique."

Krishak inclined his head.

"I agree."

That night, Krishak carried a stack of books back to his dormitory.

As he walked through the quiet campus, his thoughts deepened.

Earth possessed tremendous potential.

Its people had talent, determination, and a rapidly developing cultivation system.

What they lacked was a complete and refined path.

One day, he would provide that path.

The academy he envisioned would unite knowledge, discipline, and morality.

It would train not only warriors, but wise leaders.

Back in his room, Krishak placed the books neatly on his desk and looked out the window.

The stars glittered above the academy.

Somewhere among them rested the sealed body of his previous life.

Somewhere in the town he had left behind, Master Kiran continued guiding his first disciples.

And here at the academy, Krishak was gathering the knowledge and influence needed to transform Earth.

A faint smile touched his lips.

Step by step, his vision was becoming reality.
