Roman's POV :
Alexander's eyes moved from me to Amara and back again and I felt every muscle in my body tense.
"Uncle," I said and tried to keep my voice level. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to speak with you about the quarterly reports." His gaze lingered on Amara and something cold passed over his face. "Though it seems I've interrupted something."
"We were just—"
"Playing in the rain." He said it slowly like he was testing the words. "How charming."
Amara was still standing next to me dripping water onto the floor and shivering slightly from the cold.
"Amara, why don't you go upstairs and get changed," I said without looking at her.
"Okay." Her voice was quiet and when I glanced at her she was looking at Alexander with uncertainty in her eyes. "Nice to meet you."
"Likewise," Alexander said but his tone was flat.
