Chapter 51 - Warnings (Devils or Angels Arc begins)

"Please don't spread your personal drama out here."

Kiyo did not respond to that. Daisy began to look for a pouch in the lockers.

Daisy placed a pouch filled with Eris on the table before sitting back in her seat.

"Twenty as always. It's Kashime's."

"Kashime's only?"

"Because General Centre changed something in the laws. From now on Sold Area will provide the Eris directly to Light's Future, from there all the instructors will take their wages. Sold Area will no longer provide the wages directly to people working for the academy."

Kiyo's expressions didn't seem to be changed by that at all. She took the pouch.

"Okay, now move on. Let others come."

Upon Daisy's instruction, Kiyo got out of the row, though the Lights around her were still glancing at her now and then.

They are probably gossiping now. They just need something to talk about always.

Kiyo moved away from that area after glaring at them.

"Focus Centre does provide resources but they do to Village of Queens. But I don't know when they will be coming." Kiyo moved not toward her house but toward Farms Origin. "So I will just buy things that are important if I can with this much only." She looked at the pouch in her hand before sprinting forward.

Lavanya, Divine of Love, was walking through Beauty in Hollow. People were buying their stuff. No inappropriate activity, everything had changed since last time instead the population there was less than the previous time.

"Okay, so I will protect cities." Lavanya stopped, observing the area. Before she could do anything else, a man arrived near her. He seemed pleased to see her.

"I know why you are moving toward me." Divine of Love warned, though his movements didn't seem to stop. "I am not going to use my abilities. Try loving yourself."

Lavanya started going deeper in the city. That man didn't follow her. He stood in his decent clothes and just stared at her, puzzled at her behaviour.

"I admire humans when they love themselves instead of chasing love in someone else." She jumped, landing on the roof of a building, her gaze pierced through everything landing on.

Shishuki and Akutomi who had reached Niheart with them, some Darkens too. They were holding a large box full of swords, spears, knives and so on.

"The Giant Serpent mostly appears here. Lord said we should kill anyone who appears here." Akutomi scanned the area carefully before turning back to the Darkens. "Go. Me and sis will handle whatever appears here."

"As you wish." The Darkens bowed and went away from there.

"You do know My Lord told us the serpent's skin is too tough to get cut by these things and you still brought them." Shishuki facepalmed.

"I mean, we won't know until we test it. It's not like we have fought devils. Let's just wait here then." He jumped, landing on the branch of Niheart. The leaves weren't glowing in daytime, it looked like a normal massive tree with heart shaped leaves.

"Fine, we will test it." Shishuki stayed on the ground, not following him up. She moved to grab a spear. Her grip tightened on it, aiming for the tree that was in front of her, and then she threw it with brutal force. The spear pierced through the tree and as soon as it hit another tree's trunk, the sharpness of the spear bent and stuck in the tree's trunk.

"Are you flexing on me!" It wasn't a question from Akutomi, he arrived on the ground. "Don't waste them. They aren't for that."

Shishuki swung toward him, the wind there was strangely calm as if something soon will be shatter their words.

Akarum was near Flint outside Heavenly Kaatoumo.

"Akarum, do you know one thing?" Flint asked hesitantly.

Akarum shifted to him. In surprise he wasn't expecting him to speak.

"What is after three days?" Flint added.

"I don't." Akarum replied.

Flint leaned forward, whispering into Akarum's ear. As Flint whispered, Akarum nodded in return and Flint took a step back.

"I can do cooking. You need to bring resources." Akarum said, though their conversation was interrupted by two Lights who were arriving toward Kaatoumo.

"Flint, go warn others because devils might be coming at any moment." One of them said to him. "Though if you need more Lights, just tell us. uTara Center will take care of it."

"I will do it, though I am not aware of the devils' strength. So I couldn't tell if we need them or not, but it will be better if you send some here." Flint replied.

Devil? Just the word gave me a bad feeling.

Akarum started moving inside the Kaatoumo.

"Remember this and tell my grandma about this too." Flint said before heading with the Lights.

"Hey Kashime, do you know how devils look?" Akarum asked Kashime, who was standing in the courtyard.

"I don't know. Though don't worry, you won't die. I am strong enough."

"Sure, sure."

"Anyway, you hadn't mentioned about your training since the last time." Kashime looked at him with confusion.

"I didn't because I possess a phenomenon known as Conditional Mixture," Akarum replied, though he wasn't sure if she would even believe him.

"Okay, but how are you so sure about that?" She pressed.

Denu was in Light's Mansion courtyard, standing beside Belly with Edi. There were so many Lightlingers and Lightrozers on the walls and on the roof as well.

"You will stay inside, got it," Denu said strictly to Belly.

"And you?" She grabbed his sleeve, pulling it slightly as if reminding him of something personal.

"I will go to the academy. I need to protect it. You know, don't worry about me. I will be safe." He took her hand, pressing it lightly with both of his hands. "After all, I am the Ruler of Light."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Though the fear inside him still lingered. He wasn't sure if he would be able to keep his promise to her, but he made the promise anyway because he had to.

"Stay inside. If you need anything there is Edi and the other maids."

As he mentioned Edi's name, who was just standing beside them, Edi shifted her gaze to him slightly.

"I noticed you like to spend time with her. And one last thing, take care of yourself." He let go of her hand.

"You too take care of yourself." Belly wished in return. Her eyes lingered on his face.
