POV: NICHOLAS
Nicholas walked back into the office and stopped.
His brothers were exactly where he'd left them.
Sebastian sprawled in the leather chair closest to the desk with one ankle crossed over his knee and his head tipped back, the picture of a man completely unbothered by anything that had occurred in this room in the last hour. Lucian was on the sofa, elbows on his knees, staring at the floor.
Nicholas looked at them both.
Shook his head once.
Sebastian's eyes slid to him. A slow, unhurried movement. His tongue moved across his lower lip.....not quite deliberate, not quite unconscious.....like a man still tasting something he hadn't finished with yet.
Nicholas looked at his brothers for a long moment.
Said nothing.
Crossed the room. Sat down behind his desk. Pulled his chair in.
The office still smelled of her.
