The next morning, Clara arrived at Ravenscroft Global earlier than everybody else.
The building was still quiet when she stepped out of the elevator carrying coffee and several files against her chest. Most of the lights on the executive floor were still off. But Sebastian's office light was already on.
She stopped briefly outside the glass door. For a moment, she simply stood there watching him. Sebastian sat behind his desk reviewing documents calmly while loosening the sleeves of his white shirt slightly. His attention remained fully on work. Normal. Peaceful. Like a man completely unaware danger was already sitting close to him.
