Karlye pulled away from a gasping Andriana and glanced back.
His phone had been ringing for a while now but they had ignored it
"I think it's important, go answer it " she breathed.
He sighed, grabbed his trousers and got up , he pulled the covers over her.
Karlye got dressed and walked to his desk.
"What do you want ?" he muttered.
David scoffed, " I am sorry if I interrupted your sweet reunion but she needs to go back to the hospital. Her doctor has been calling "
Karlye frowned glancing back at the lounge door , he could hear Andriana getting up.
"I thought she had been discharged " he let out.
"No ... apparently they left without the doctor permitting it. So stop whatever you're doing and get out now. We need to take her back immediately" he ordered.
"Alright, we will be out soon " he said hanging up.
Andriana was in the bathroom when he returned.
"Baby ...did you leave the hospital without the doctor knowing ?" he asked.
"Oh ....I just forgot to ask him, we were in a rush " she said back.
He chuckled.
"Karlye ....Karlye ...get in here now " he heard Andriana suddenly yell.
He pushed the bathroom door open and rushed in. She was standing naked with fear in her eyes.
Karlye frowned when he saw the blood flowing down her thighs.
"I think we should head back to the hospital " she muttered.
He nodded.

David sighed for the fifth time glaring at Karlye.
Karlye avoided it looking away.
"You just can't control yourself ...are you a teenager ?" he angrily spoke.
"I thought she was okay when she came to the office by herself . I...".he said.
The door opened and the doctor came out
"Everything is fine it was just some light bleeding . She needs to stay in bed for now. But for now please don't engage in anything that might put her and the baby in danger " said the doctor.
Karlye nodded.
After the doctor left they went to her room.
"I am glad Mira and Mom are not here, it would have been bad if they found out " she smiled back at Karlye.
He nodded.
David glared at them both.
"You both need to exercise some restraint, especially you Karlye. As for you Andriana, please take care of yourself, don't do this again. If you want to see him , I will personally drag him here....but I don't think that would be necessary , you both seem to have worked it out " he sighed.
They both nodded and replied with an Okay.
"Good, I won't tell Mira or the others about this but I hope it won't happen again".he said.
Andriana blinked, "I promise it won't happen again ".
David grabbed Karlye , "let's go, we need to finish something at work. Come on let's go " he said moving to the door.
"I will return later in the evening, rest for now " Karlye kissed her forehead.
She lay back and watched them leave.

"You're back so late ...did something happen at work?"
David stopped in his tracks to see Mira waiting for him in the living room.
"Yeah , Karlye was being difficult....You're still awake ?" he asked taking off his coat.
She stood up taking it from him. She knew it must have been because Andriana had gone to see him.
"I wanted us to talk about something " she said.
He frowned, loosening his tie, "It could not wait till tomorrow. Is it that important ?"
She sat back down glancing at him with a serious look in her eyes. David sat down too, now worried about what exactly seemed to bother her.
"Your mother called " she said.
He instantly froze.
"She said you didn't pick up her calls so she decided to call me. I wondered how she even got my number, we haven't even been introduced " she said.
David sighed.
"What did she want ?" he asked.
"Money mostly and asked for some other stuff so I let someone drop them off at the address she gave me "
"What !....you should have called me before doing that ?" he said out.
Mira pushed her hair behind her ear and looked back at him.
"David you told me your mother was dead....dead. So can you please explain why someone who is supposed to be dead called me ...and why you don't seem surprised that she was alive ?"
He sighed.
"Can we talk about it another time ?" he asked.
Mira stood up, "I can wait take your time ".
"Thank you " he let out.
She moved to where he was seated taking his hand.
"And just to let you know I am not mad...but I will be staying at Samantha's for the next few days ".
He sprang up
"Mira I....." he stopped midway.
She moved closer to his face planting a gentle peck on his cheek, "Have a good night, "and walked away
He fell back , as he felt a headache start to creep in.
She had warned him not to keep any secrets from her again after he had apologised and claimed to have told her everything about himself.
"If I ever discover anything about you that you didn't tell me . It would be the last time you see me "...David closed his eyes rubbing his temple as her words from that day sounded in his head.
"I should have told her ..." he muttered to himself.
Mira stood outside their home in silence. She looked down at his coat still in her arms.
Her phone rang, and she pulled it out to see that Andriana was calling.
"Still awake this late ?" she answered.
Andriana chuckled, "I was craving some strawberries so I couldn't sleep ".
"Did you get any ?" she asked walking to her car.
"Mmm, Karlye got me some".
"That's good, now enjoy your strawberries and then get some rest " she said.
" I called because I wanted to thank you for helping me today " Andriana let out.
Mira leaned back in her car seat and smiled.
"That was nothing, you know I am always ready to help. And it seems things worked out " she connected the call to the car Bluetooth and started the car.
"Yes they did " her voice sounded warm.
Mira sighed.
"Mira ?". Andriana called.
"Yeah ".
"Are you okay ?" she asked.
"Huh...yeah ....why do you ask ?" she muttered.
Andriana was silent then replied, "Why are you lying to me ?".
Mira looked down at the coat in her lap and tried to hold back her stinging tears.
"I am not " she lied.
"Then why does your voice sound different ?" She asked.
Mira breathed, "I am fine "
"Did David do something to make you angry again, you know you can tell me " Andriana asked.
Mira suddenly parked the car .
Mira felt her tears fall , and burst into sobs.
Andriana hang up .
Mira leaned forward placing her head in the steering wheel as her blindingly big tears fell .
