Arthur met his gaze, "I didn't think getting a girlfriend was going to cause all this chaos "
Karlye leaned back, "Well, it did, and I don't know why you would get one when you like Rosie ....or was I wrong ?"
"No ...I do, I like her. But it seems she doesn't feel the same way about me " he muttered.
Karlye scoffed seeing his saddened face.
"She does like you but I can't let a man who failed at protecting her get such a chance with her "
"Huh...but ...huh?" Arthur looked confused.
"Rosie does like you but I think you both have a lot of time for that in the future, for now why dont you focus on your studies ". said Karlye.
"She does ?" Arthur's eyes beamed.
Karlye frowned.
"Don't look so happy,didnt you hear a word I just said".
"Oh I did ...focus and future " muttered Arthur with a smile.
Karlye chuckled.
"Arthur tell your brother not to worry, I'm not going to do anything to you ....not yet . But this is your last chance ". he said.
Arthur nodded.
"You're lucky Rosie likes you, if it wasn't for that you would have paid with that crazy girlfriend of yours" Karlye added.
"I broke up with her, she isn't my girlfriend anymore ".
"Good choice, but I still don't support you going after Rosie. You can stay friends but don't even think of dating her ....yet " Karlye warned.
Arthur nodded trying to hide his smile.
Karlye got up, "her sister will kill you if she finds out ...you know she doesn't like you much "
"Oh ..but I thought I was making progress that night " he said.
Karlye walked to the door, "With what the strawberries?".
Arthur nodded.
Karlye chuckled, "Nope...not even a crack . And if she finds out you're the reason her sister was bullied and hurt at school, you won't even be friends with Rosie anymore ".
They walked out of the office.
"I will keep trying " Arthur let out.
"Good luck on that ". Karlye walked off towards the exit.
Arthur saw him to his car.
"I won't disappoint you again, Mr Lockhart " he said.
"You better not, I hate giving second chances so do your best" he said pulling out his phone.
Arthur heard the phone vibrate.
"I sent you something, check it out after I leave. Rosie is going to be mad at me after she finds out but I want you to know ...she isn't someone you can easily mess with " he said.
Arthur nodded and stood back as the car drove off. He turned and headed back, taking out his phone.
It was a video and the moment he opened it, Arthur froze in place.
He could not believe what he was seeing.

"I heard you threatened his little brother ?".
Karlye looked up from his phone, "I did?".
Arthur's brother sighed.
"Well, you saying you want to talk to him alone made me worried ".
"Is that why you wanted to ship him off " asked Karlye.
"What ...is that true ?". the rest of the three friends laughed.
"What did you want me to do, his my only little brother and it seemed he got on your bad side ". said Clark.
Karlye placed his phone aside, "My sister-in-law likes him so I can't do anything to him. And I had no plans of hurting him ....yet ".
"Yet ?"Arthur's brother exclaimed.
The others laughed.
Karlye took a sip of his drink," Arthur couldn't control his girlfriend who ended up bullying Rosie . And I was going to intervene but she took care of it by herself".
Clark frowned, "Arthur has a girlfriend?".
Karlye nodded.
"Why did the girlfriend bully this sister-in-law of yours ?" Nathan one of the three asked.
"She claimed Rosie was getting in between them ". Karlye explained.
"And is it true ?". the other asked.
Karlye sighed, "Well, it seems the two do have feelings for each other but Rosie doesn't want to act upon them ...while this one little brother seemed to have confessed his "
"What ...now that is interesting " Nathan and the others laughed.
Clark leaned back, "But why would he date someone else if he liked Rosie since he met her that day ?".
"His your brother asks him " said Karlye.
Clark nodded, "I will ...but wait did you say she took care of it. How did she do that , did they fight ?"
Karlye nodded.
"But I never got any notice from the school. If it involved my brother, I'm sure I would have been informed " said Clark.
Karlye scoffed.
"Cause he wasn't there when it happened. And it wasn't more of a beating than a fight "
Clark and the others seemed interested.
As he pulled out his phone, Karlye said.
"They had ambushed her after school, tried to hit her but before any of them could...." He displayed the video.
"Wow....".
"Oh my god !".
"Damn she is good "
The three friends exclaimed as they watched the video.
"Karlye I think I have to warn my brother about this girl....she isn't the sweet innocent girl he described to me " commented Clark.
Karlye chuckled, "No worries, he received the video this morning ".
Nathan looked up as Karlye retrieved his phone.
"Did you teach her all this ?".he asked.
"Wait isn't she the same girl you said woke up from a coma ?" the other asked.
"It wasn't me who taught her, but my girlfriend " Karlye muttered.
"Huh?!" everyone in the room let out.
"Your girlfriend...that angel-looking lady ?" one said.
"I remember seeing her in the news and I was surprised by how pretty she is . She looks so kind, how can she be able to ....". Nathan spoke.
"Rosie said she is worse but never uses it, she's too kind for violence " let out Karlye.
"You know Karlye I heard that pregnant women have terrible mood swings . Your out this late with us instead of being with her and your unborn baby....don't you think you're risking it too much ". Said Clark.
"What do you mean ?" Karlye frowned.
"I mean she might be kind and hates violence but you never know when those mood swings might pop out. I won't want to see you with a black eye or broken jaw back at work " explained Clark.
Karlye blinked , his phone lit up and started ringing. It was Andriana.
Clark saw the name and smirked.
"Ah...speak of the devil ".
Karlye seemed to hesitate but Clark leaned in.
"Go ahead and answer, you won't want to make her angry" he whispered.
Karlye picked up.
"Where are you right now ?" Andriana asked.
"Oh . I...".
"Karlye if you're not here in the next thirty minutes, you're not sleeping with me tonight " she said and hung up
He got up grabbing his coat.
"Time for me to go " he said.
"Oh guess she is mad you're not home this late " Clark muttered.
Karlye glared back at him, "mind your business Clark". and stomped off.
Nathan and the others laughed.
"You did that on purpose?" Tom said.
Clark sipped on his drink.
"Well, it felt good seeing him scared for once .....I guess i was a little angry from earlier "he chuckled.
