"I mean all I want from him is a little attention but then he goes out with his friends to drink ...on the day we had agreed to watch a movie together ". Andriana cried.
Mira hugged her, "You should have called me, we could have watched it together ".
"But I wanted to watch it with him ...and he chose drinking with his friends ...who does that ?" she cried. .." Maybe he doesn't love me anymore ...or now that I'm pregnant and bloated he can't bear to look at me "
Samantha sat down.
"Do you hear yourself. Your glowing I can't still believe you're pregnant. As for your man, I think you should just talk to him and let him explain "
Andriana looked up with her wet tear-stained face.
"He tried to explain but ....".
"But ?". the two asked.
"But I didn't let him explain " she cried.
Samantha sighed.
"Well, now you won't know why he forgot or chose to drink with his friends instead of coming home".
"I always knew he wasn't good for you . Maybe you should ....".
Andriana pulled back glancing back at Mira.
"Mira I love Karlye could you please stop telling me to break up with him ...I don't have any plans not now or in future " she sniffed.
Mira sighed nodding.
"Alright, I am sorry I brought it up ...again "
"That's like the hundredth time " Samantha commented which earned her a glare from Mira.
"So what do you plan to do ?" asked Mira.
"Uh....ah...I don't know." She burst out into tears again.
A knock came at her office door. Mira and Samantha had rushed off to her workplace after she called Mira crying.
"Yes ...come in " said Mira.
The assistant manager opened her door and apologised for interrupting.
"Something wrong ?" Andriana asked wiping her tears.
"Ah...your boyfriend, Mr Lockhart is here " he said.
"He is ?" She sprang up.
She nodded.
Mira pulled Andriana back down.
"Tell him she can't see him right now, a little busy with other guests " said Mira.
"I am ?"Andriana muttered.
"Yes ", Mira let out.
The manager nodded and left. Andriana glanced back at Mira.
"Mira am not that busy and you guys can wait until I speak to him " she said.
"Let him suffer for now ...he choose drinks and friends over his pregnant girlfriend. He needs to know how important you are to him " said Mira.
"But Mira ...I haven't seen him for five days now ". cried Andriana.
"And ?".
"And I miss him ...I am not mad at him anymore ". she said.
"Well you should be ...and who was it crying a minute ago cause she was forgottened ?" asked Mira.
Andriana sniffled , "I ....yes I was mad but this is the third time he doing this and I was ignoring him. Maybe it's time I stop and talk ...".
"No...if you have been able to ignore him for five days now ,both at work and home then keep doing that . Your pregnant with his child and he decided to go out and drink with his friends instead of coming home to you ". Mira stated.
Andriana bit her lower lip , "I guess he missed them. You know since we moved back in his been taking care of me, once in while he might need to unwind with his friends "
Mira scoffed and Samantha giggled.
"Are you making excuses for him now ..actually your defending him ". said Mira.
A knock came at the door .
"Yes ?". Andriana answered.
"Baby can I come in " it was Karlye .
Before Andriana could get up Mira rushed to the door opening it .
Karlye glanced back at her , "Mira can you please excuse me . I need to talk to Andriana ...alone ".
"No...I don't think ".
Karlye stepped back and David appeared behind him.
"Huh...what is this ?" scoffed Mira.
"Your ride home ....I think you have more matters to attend to than bother me and Andriana " said Karlye.
Mira frowned , "excuse me did you just say bother ...I wouldn't be here if you didn't make her cry because you forgot the plans you made with her ".
"I didnt mean to forget and this is between me and my girlfriend " said Karlye.
"Huh...then why do you think she called us. This is why I never liked her for you, if it wasn't for her baby I would have broken you both up along time ago. All you keep doing she drag problems into her life ". said Mira.
Karlye gritted his teeth and looked back at David.
David moved forward taking Mira's hand.
"Come on peach , let's go " he said.
"No ,I am not going . This isn't the first time you made my best friend cry . She is carrying your child for god sake the least you can do is take care of her but even that seems hard for you now ....like really choosing alcohol and some rich ass stupid friends over.. ...".
"Mira ...stop it " Andriana spoke out.
Mira looked back , "you need to stop defending him ,Andriana and ...".
"No...stop ...you need to stop . I am not defending him or making excuses . Karlye has done more than you can ever imagine for me and this baby...and yes his not perfect but I love him and I know he loves me" Andriana let out.
Everyone was silent.
"Yes I might have overreacted about what happened but Karlye has never made me feel unloved ....his been nothing but sweet, kind and understanding with all my stupid cravings and tantrums..so please dont judge him for just this one mistake ...his human too and making mistakes is part of that ". she cried.
She wiped her falling tears.
"I am sorry Mira ,I know your just worried about me but please stop pointing fingers at Karlye . You don't know an inche of how much his trying his best for me ,so please stop judging him " bursting into tears again Andriana wailed.
Karlye walked in and pulled her into his arms.
"Don't cry, I am sorry it's all my fault " he muttered.
"No it's not ...this is all my fault " cried Andriana.
"No it's not ..."he murmured.
Samantha moved taking Mira hand , "come on now . Time to go " she said to her.
Mira glanced back at the two ,she could hear Andriana still sobbing in his arms.
Quietly she followed Samantha out ,David closed the door and joined them.
Andriana looked up at Karlye.
"Karlye ...." She called.
"Mmmh " he glanced down at her blushed face.
"I am sorry ...and...." She stopped .
"And ?". he urged.
Andriana blinked her tears falling again , "i forgot what I was going to say " she cried.
He bent down kissed her swollen eyes .
"No worries babe ...you said plently already " he muttered with a smile.
