Chapter 217 - A Night Beneath the Stars

One afternoon during lunch at Hogwarts, Alexander noticed something strange.

He always felt like someone was looking at him or in his direction. He usually ignored it, but whoever was looking at him had been staring for a while.

Alexander started to look around casually in the hall, and he noticed Harry was sneaking glances at Cho.

Alexander raised an eyebrow.

Well… Harry did fall for Cho in the canon, he thought.

She is a beautiful Seeker after all.

Then another strange thought crossed his mind.

Doesn't he know she's mine?

Alexander kept looking around the hall, because Harry wasn't the only one behaving oddly.

Ginny Weasley kept sneaking glances at him, too.

Alexander sighed internally.

So troublesome.

Should I speed up the process and hook them up?

He tapped the table lightly while thinking.

If things stay like this next year… maybe I'll do something.

While lost in thought, he felt something wet on his cheek.

He smiled and turned toward Cho, and she said.

"Alex, what are you thinking about?"

He laughed softly.

Cho looked at him curiously.

"I asked you something, but you looked like you were lost in deep thought."

Alexander smiled at her.

"Sorry. I was thinking about something."

He leaned closer.

"What was the question?"

Cho smiled slightly.

"What are we doing tonight?"

Alexander asked a question of his own.

"Can you dance?"

Cho looked confused but nodded.

"My grandparents taught me."

Alexander grinned.

"Excellent! Silver will bring you your outfit for tonight."

Cho's eyes sharpened.

"How do you know my dress size?!"

He laughed and said.

"I had my mom talk to your mom. I am not some pervert!"

Cho gave him a suspicious look still.

"Don't worry, I haven't touched your dress or anything! I promise!" Alexander defended himself.

He quickly finished his food, gave her a quick kiss, and said.

"I will see you tonight!"

And Alexander quickly escaped from her beautiful but deadly glare.

The rest of the day passed quickly.

Students ran around buying last-minute Valentine's Day products from Fred and George.

Courage potions.

Cupid birds.

Romantic illusion cards.

The castle buzzed with excitement.

In the evening, Alexander waited in the Ravenclaw common room for Cho.

When she came down, he was stunned.

Cho stepped into the light as if she had walked out of a dream.

Her dress was a midnight-blue gown, soft and elegant, the fabric shimmering like a quiet night sky. Tiny enchanted threads woven into the silk glowed faintly, like scattered stars that shifted gently whenever she moved.

The top half of her dress fit her perfectly; she looked both delicate and refined. With silver embroidery curling like constellations across it. The sleeves fell just past her shoulders, giving her an almost ethereal look.

The lower half flowed effortlessly. Layered just enough to move like water when she walked, brushing the floor in soft waves of blue and silver.

Around her neck was the necklace Alexander had given her. The glow blended perfectly with the dress, like a star placed at the center of her world.

Her hair and shoes matched her dress perfectly.

Alexander's heart stopped beating for a moment when he saw her.

She didn't just look beautiful.

She looked breathtaking.

Cho was also stunned when she saw Alexander's outfit for tonight.

His outfit seemed to match hers.

He wore a tailored formal suit. At first, it looked black; the suit had lines with deep blue that matched Cho's dress. The suit made him look very clean and sharp.

His inner vest carried faint silver threading, almost like hidden constellations—only visible when the light hit just right.

Around his shoulders was a light formal cloak, trimmed with a thin line of silver, giving him a refined and noble presence without being overdone.

At his collar, a small enchanted pin shaped like a raven made of starlight shimmered softly.

Cho did not expect Alexander to look this handsome.

They both froze and looked at each other.

After a few seconds, Alexander was the first one to snap out of it and said.

"You look very beautiful! I can't believe you are mine..."

"You look very handsome. You clean up very well," Cho laughed softly.

He quietly pulled out the Invisibility Cloak.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

Cho nodded, and he covered them with the Invisibility Cloak.

Cho giggled softly as they walked through the quiet corridors.

Soon, they reached the Astronomy Tower.

When they stepped inside, Cho immediately noticed something.

It was warm.

Soft romantic music began to play.

Alexander removed the cloak and put it to the side.

Alexander froze once again.

He couldn't find the words as Cho was just too beautiful tonight.

Cho laughed gently.

"Do I really look that pretty?"

Alexander blinked and snapped back to reality.

"Yes. The most beautiful girl in the world."

Cho blushed deeply and smiled.

"You're not bad looking yourself."

Alexander grinned confidently.

"My face carries most of my looks."

"The clothes only add to it."

They both burst out laughing.

Alexander gently took her hand.

They started walking, and he pointed at the ceiling.

Above them floated hundreds of small lanterns, glowing softly like stars.

One by one, the lanterns slowly burst.

Each one revealed a memory illusion.

Their first day entering Hogwarts.

Alexander beating up the Sorting Hat and Cho's shocked reaction.

Quidditch matches.

Quiet study nights.

Moments of laughter.

Cho looked at him with wide eyes.

"Do you always have Peeves follow us around?"

Alexander shook his head.

"No."

"Peeves just loves taking random photos."

He continued with confidence,

"I don't need Peeves when I have Silver and Copper to follow us."

Cho laughed.

She gently pulled him toward a table when all the memories faded.

"More gifts?"

Alexander nodded.

"Yes."

Cho opened the first small box.

Inside was a bracelet.

This one was gold with blue crystals, delicate and beautiful.

Alexander smiled.

"Look."

He held up his own wrist.

He had a matching bracelet.

He carefully helped her put it on.

Then he said softly,

"Watch this."

He held her hands.

Channeling a little magic into both bracelets.

Suddenly, a small galaxy illusion appeared around them.

Stars surrounded them.

Tiny shooting stars streaked across the air.

Slowly, a constellation formed.

A.C + C.C

Below is a magical image of Hogwarts Castle.

Alexander scratched the back of his head slightly.

"This is as far as I got."

"I'll improve it in the future."

Cho looked around the glowing illusion in wonder.

"This is like our own special space."

Alexander nodded.

"Right now, everyone can see it."

"But eventually I'll upgrade it so only we can."

Cho leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss.

"I already love it."

Alexander smiled and handed her a card.

Cho opened it.

The front read:

Happy Valentine's Day

Inside on the left side were the words:

365 days with you is not enough

Below it was an enchanted photo of them cuddling in the Ravenclaw common room beside the fireplace.

On the right side it read:

To Cho,

Last year I gave you memories.

This year I want to make more.

Hogwarts is loud, chaotic, and sometimes dangerous…

but somehow it became my favorite place,

because you're here.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Let's see what the next 365 days bring.

— Alexander

Cho sniffed and wiped her eyes.

"Can you stop making me smile so much?"

"My face is starting to hurt, and my eyes hurt from crying too much."

Alexander laughed softly.

"I will keep making you smile."

He gently wiped away her tears.

"Sorry for the pain."

Once she calmed down, Alexander handed her one last gift.

"Final present."

Cho opened the box.

Inside was a delicate silver hairpin with a glowing blue crystal feather.

Alexander gently placed it in her hair.

"It protects against minor jinxes."

"Keeps you warm in winter."

"And cool in summer."

He pointed to the crystal.

"If you channel a little magic, it glows at night."

He led her to a mirror.

Cho activated it.

The crystal glowed softly.

The gentle light made her look almost like a goddess.

Alexander smiled.

"Mesmerizing."

Cho admired it happily.

Then Alexander handed her another small package.

"I already opened this one to make sure it was safe."

"It's from our favorite twins."

Cho opened it.

Inside were tiny chocolate versions of Alexander and Cho.

Cho laughed and immediately ate one.

"It tastes good!"

Alexander nodded proudly.

"They stole my idea."

"They want to sell these chocolates in the future."

He crossed his arms dramatically.

"But only if you approve of it."

Cho laughed again.

"Yes."

"They can sell them."
