Chapter 281 - Chapter 281: Instant Kill! Showing the Celestials No Respect!

In a battle between Multiverse-level beings, victory was no longer decided by the simple quantity of energy each side possessed.

What they truly competed over was their comprehension of fundamental essence and their respective paths.

Every powerful being had a path of their own.

They used their will to interpret the rules of the world, eventually forming their own powerful understanding of reality.

Existences on the level of the "Five Great Gods" went even further. Each of them personally represented a particular cosmic rule.

Karl had yet to reach that level.

However, his understanding of fundamental essence was absolutely no weaker than that of any other powerhouse.

This was especially true for the first few Laws he had mastered.

Time, space, darkness, mind, and devouring.

They had already been engraved into the deepest reaches of his soul.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that he could now wield these powers as naturally as moving his own limbs.

Even though he was facing dozens of powerful Dark Celestials—beings capable of shaking the entire Multiverse—they were still completely incapable of doing anything to him.

Their energy beams possessed enough power to destroy universes, yet they could not break through Karl's attack.

Instead, Karl used his overwhelming command of spatial rules to send every beam back at them.

Rather than calling it a reflection, it would be more accurate to say that Karl had changed the position of every attack through Portals.

He had directly altered the spatial rules surrounding them.

At first, the Celestials believed they could withstand the returning attacks by force.

However, the number of attacks soon became overwhelming.

Moreover, Karl had erased the will contained within their attacks and infused them with his own terrifying will.

The resulting attacks could no longer be compared to their original forms.

Even the armor covering the Celestials' bodies seemed unable to withstand them.

Their armor, forged from some unknown material, was now covered in cracks and looked as though it might shatter at any moment.

Had these been slightly weaker Celestials, they would probably have already been destroyed.

Even these powerful Dark Celestials had been severely affected.

The flow of energy within their bodies had been disrupted, leaving them in an extremely miserable state.

Karl alone had suppressed dozens of powerful Dark Celestials.

Had the other Gods learned of this, they would undoubtedly have been shocked beyond belief.

However, the rules of the world surrounding Karl had already been altered.

No one outside the battlefield knew what was happening.

Only the Dark Celestials standing opposite Karl understood how badly the battle was going for them.

Nevertheless, although the Dark Celestials had been stripped of their emotions, they had not completely lost their ability to reason.

Once they realized that their current strategy could not threaten Karl, they immediately changed their method of attack.

Sharp metallic sounds rang out, like blades being drawn from their sheaths.

The terrifying black energy surrounding their bodies rapidly condensed into long spears.

One black, crystal-like spear after another appeared in their hands.

The next moment, several powerful Celestials charged directly at Karl.

Their bodies were incomparably enormous.

Each of them was as large as one of Earth's continents.

Human beings could have established entire nations upon their bodies.

Their armor radiated various mysterious auras while flickering with black light.

Under the influence of their power, the surrounding space seemed to have lost all meaning.

Without saying a word, they thrust their colossal spears toward Karl.

The Dark Celestials towered tens of thousands of meters high.

The spears in their hands were similarly enormous from Karl's perspective.

The tip of a single spear resembled a gigantic wall before him.

Without relying on his Psychic Power, Karl would not even have been able to perceive the weapon's full shape.

The oppressive force brought by such an attack was naturally immense.

However, Karl was not the kind of person who would be frightened by something like this.

Facing the terrifying spears thrusting toward him, he did not even blink.

"Do you think you're the only ones with powerful bodies?"

"It has been a long time since I properly stretched my muscles. This is the perfect opportunity to test them."

Karl rolled his shoulders and moved his body.

A rapid series of sharp cracks echoed from within him as his joints loosened.

In the next instant, it was as though he had activated a legendary cosmic giant-form transformation.

His body began to grow at an astonishing speed.

In barely a dozen seconds, he had become taller than entire mountain ranges.

His incomparably colossal body was even larger than those of the Celestials.

Karl raised one hand.

White light instantly filled the entire Solar System.

The darkness of space was illuminated by white radiance that seemed to emerge from nowhere.

It was as though the entire world had suddenly been lit up.

Even the Sun appeared somewhat dim beneath that brilliance.

The source of the light was nothing other than the platinum-white Holy Sword in Karl's hand.

Mysterious white energy flowed from its blade, radiating a supreme aura.

This was one of the paths Karl had studied most deeply.

The Path of Light.

Karl wasted no time.

He raised his sword and charged.

A battle between ordinary mortals was determined by speed, techniques for exerting force, and various schemes and calculations.

A battle between supreme beings was different.

What mattered was their understanding of fundamental essence and their interpretation of the rules.

Karl casually swung his sword.

Blinding white light spread outward like an enormous barrier, extending endlessly in every direction.

The overwhelming force formed a gigantic fan-shaped wave.

The energy covering the blade vibrated continuously at an unimaginably terrifying frequency.

Karl's physical strength was already horrifying enough.

Now, the powerful Law of Force condensed around his Holy Sword.

This pushed the destructive power of his attack to its absolute limit.

The sword swept forward.

Platinum-white power collided with the spears in the Celestials' hands.

Hum!

A piercing hum resounded.

It was as though the entire universe had begun to vibrate.

At the point where the two energies collided, the rules of reality collapsed and space was extinguished.

Even time descended into chaos.

The past, the future, and the present intersected with one another.

The next moment, the spear condensed from the Dark Celestial's Divine Power shattered instantly.

The platinum-white light then surged backward along the remnants of the broken spear and swept toward the Celestial who had wielded it.

A dazzling platinum-white tide erupted.

It transformed into a colossal platinum-white dragon.

In an instant, the powerful Dark Celestial was completely swallowed by the terrifying force.

It did not even have the opportunity to release a scream.

Even the other Dark Celestials, who supposedly possessed no emotions, could not help but retreat.

Was this some kind of joke?

How could this man be so terrifyingly powerful?

Then why had he acted so cautiously before?

He had refused to make a move for so long that they had assumed he was no match for them.

Yet the moment he attacked, he instantly killed one of them?

Did the Dark Celestials deserve no respect at all?

For a moment, all the remaining Dark Celestials became incomparably furious.

In the next instant, dozens of enormous spears thrust toward Karl simultaneously.
