The next day, the gang woke up very early to continue the journey without wasting too much time.
"Alright gang, its day 3 already, we still have 4 more access colors to go, I'm aiming for today we can get at least 2 colors, any problems?" asked Johnson.
"Not at all, armed and ready!" said Mysty.
"Same here!" said Covie.
"Yeah....." said Albur, looking at Johnson suspiciously.
"By the way should we check the resources we have right now? To see whether they are in good condition?" asked Mysty.
"Oh yeah, I never thought of that, sure thing." said Johnson.
Everyone took out their stuff and put them in a place. Albur currently lost his metal pipe during the last battle, he now have his laser rifle, an old spotlight, a microphone and his smart watch. Mysty currently have her laser twin pistols, her taser gun, a crucifix, the adventure hiking stick, the flashlight made by the CCTV glass and her smart watch. Johnson currently have his laser minigun, a laser machine gun, a digital book, the three password keys and his smart watch, while Covie have nothing but the resource box, in her telescopic bag.
"Hey Albur, why do you have a microphone with you?" asked Mysty.
Albur said nothing, he is just lowering his head, thinking something.
"Hey, hey! Albur!" Johnson shook Albur.
"Oh wh- what?" Albur looked around.
"What are you doing?" asked Mysty.
"Oh, uh, nothing..." muttered Albur.
"O...k, I uh, just wanna ask why do you have a microphone with you." said Mysty.
"Oh, that, uh, you know, news reporters use a microphone when reporting a news, it have the ability make your voice louder, like any other microphone." said Albur.
"Oh, ok"
"Hey, why do you keep staring at me?" Johnson noticed Albur's eyes are always staring at him.
"Oh, uh, nothing." Albur stopped staring at him.
"So these are the current resources we have now, I think we can keep going on our journey." said Johnson.
"Hey uh, can I ask what is that?" Mysty pointed at Johnson's digital book.
"Oh this, this is my, uh, The GK Ultimate Guide." said Johnson.
"What do you mean?" asked Albur.
"I write down the weakness of the glitches and also my personal fighting experience, tips and guide on this book, so if one day I suddenly forgot some places, I can refer to this book." said Johnson.
"Wow, you are very focused on glitch killing." said Mysty.
"Glitch infections aren't a joke, I must face them seriously." said Johnson.
Johnson opened the map to the Emerald station, the gang then hopped onto the truck.
"Alright, its time for me to cook...." Albur hopped onto the driver's seat. He activated the truck. The truck slowly warmed up its engine and levitate, but its unstable.
"Are you sure this truck is safe to drive?" asked Albur.
"Just deal with it! At least its faster than walking." said Johnson.
Albur scoffed as he put his hands on the steering wheel, he almost forgot how to drive since he mostly use his car's auto drive mode, but since he is the only one here that have contact with vehicles the most so he have no choice but to be the driver.
The truck was indeed much better than walking. It quickly reached 3/4 of the journey to the Emerald upgrade station. But then, they found out the road is blocked. A huge building is in the middle of the road, blocking the way.
"Hey, that building is blocking the road!" exclaimed Albur.
"No big deal, I can turn this truck into digital data and store it in my watch instead of leaving it in the digital world. Let's walk through this big building." said Johnson.
"Alright then." said Mysty.
The gang hopped off the truck, Johnson turned it into digital data and stored it in his watch. They walked to the building and found out that it wasn't a normal building. The sign on the building is written 'Power Factory'.
"This place is..... a power factory?" asked Albur.
"It must be the power plant that gives houses electricity." said Johnson.
"Wait a second, is this building teared and place right here? Usually this building should be beside this road." said Mysty.
"It must've be the glitches doing." said Johnson.
The gang walked into the building, the inside of the building was seriously damaged and dark, Albur turned on his spotlight and use it as a flashlight. In the building ,only some things are working, there were also some electric sparks that appear suddenly due to the damaged wires.
"How did the glitches managed to plug the whole building off and throw it in the middle of the road?" asked Albur.
"I guess maybe its the generals, right ? " asked Mysty.
"Probably. " said Johnson.
They eventually reached a room, the door was sealed shut, and there is a sign on the door, which is a hazard symbol representing things in there are explosive.
"Explosive things in a power plant? " asked Albur.
"That makes no sense. How could a power plant need explosive materials? " asked Mysty.
Albur tried to open the door, luckily, the door was easily opened since this whole place is damaged, same goes to this door. The others took a peek inside. A wave of green light is seen at the end of the room. They went inside, and at the end of the room, many thick metal cases with a glass tube were seen. Inside the case, there were lime green hexagon gems, it is inside a transparent green fluid. There are also tiny versions of it which is also in glass tubes inside a transparent green fluid.
"What are these things? " asked Albur, picking up one of the metal cases and have a look.
"Wait, these are..." Johnson picked up one of the metal cases and looked at it. He opened his watch and tried to search for it, but his watch just ran out of power due to the intense usage earlier.
"Hey Albur, do you mind checking online about this? " asked Johnson.
"Oh, uh, yeah, sure...." Albur opened his watch and scrolled to the searching website. He searched and searched there but couldn't find anything.
"Give it to me, I'll look for it. " said Johnson.
Albur handed over his watch, Johnson scrolled around in the app and found the thing.
"Here, look." Johnson showed them one of the documentary news about this weird thing. It was a powerful energy source which seems to be called 'hyper gems'.
"So these are..... hyper gems? " asked Albur.
"Correct, I think this is the powerful gems in the legends. " said Johnson.
"Hey, I think I seen it before in my history text book when I was in college. " said Mysty.
"AWWW SNAP, not histories again? " groaned Albur.
"Yeah, these gems might be the ones in the legend which provides an astonishing amount of power supply. " said Johnson.
"Damn, cool. " Albur looked at the gems inside the metal case he is holding, he then tried to open it.
"Wait Albur! Don't open that case! " shouted Johnson. As he grabbed Albur's arm.
"Wha- why? " asked Albur.
"These are rumoured to be extremely dangerous when exposed in air. I don't think it is safe to open it. " said Johnson.
"Guys hold on a second, look at this." Covie suddenly spoke, she is standing in front of a table with many experiment reports there. The gang went to her location, and looked at the experiment reports.
"Ugh, these handwriting are ugly..... who wrote these? " asked Mysty.
"I think I can understand the writing. My writing is also garbage so I can recognize what is this experiment reports talking about. " said Albur.
"You have a bunch of weird talents, not gonna lie. " said Johnson.
Albur looked at the experiment reports. He then looked through every single one of them.
"Oh, so these gems are very vulnerable..." murmured Albur.
"What do you mean? " asked Mysty.
"I read all of these reports. It seems like these gems are very vulnerable, they will get crush easily and they will release a nuclear level explosion when they are broken. And these gems are very vulnerable to nitrogen, they will burst upon contact with nitrogen. " said Albur.
"Well that strengthens the reason why we shouldn't touch these, y'all know what the most air compound in the air is, right? " asked Johnson.
"Nitrogen....." muttered Covie.
"But even so they were very valuable power sources, I think we can use them! " said Albur.
"But these are so dangerous, what if we have an accident and they get crushed and nuked us all? " asked Mysty.
"We are running out of electricity. We just have to protect them carefully and we can use them to our advantage." Johnson muttered as he looked into his bag, the batteries were running out.
"Ok then." said Albur.
The gang took 2 hyper gems with them, as well as a few small hyper gems. They later walked out of the building. Johnson materialized the truck and removed all of its batteries.
"Alright, let's see what are these things capable of....." Albur took one of the 2 big hyper gems. He noticed that the metal case have a plug on it, he then tried to insert it into the truck's engine. And when he did, the truck suddenly begun to shake, green lightning is covering the truck.
"Uh, master? The electric current of the truck is off the charts ! Its gonna burst!" said Covie, while looking at the truck's electric current gauge.
"Albur! Remove that gem!" yelled Johnson.
Albur quickly plug it out, but that also knocked him back a few meters.
"This thing is powerful....." murmured Mysty.
"Hey, the hyper gem left some electricity inside the truck..... and its full!" Covie showed everyone the truck's battery capacity.
"Nice, we can use this hyper gem to recharge our truck whenever its low on battery!" said Mysty.
"Damn, cool." Albur put the hyper gem on the truck.
"Well then, should we continue the journey?" asked Johnson.
"Alright, let's go." said Mysty.
But out of nowhere, glitch bullets rained down from the sky and struck the ground near them. The gang looked up. The glitches and their spaceship had already found them.
"This is patrol team #911! We found the humans, now operating execution!" the captain glitch of the patrol team said to a walkie talkie.
"This is headquarters, copy that."
"AWWWW come on! You've gotta be kidding me!" shouted Albur.
"Looks like its another time to fight..."
