Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Secret Organisation

The cyborg drove the car further into the facility. After several scanning and confirmation, the system let the car in.

While the car is flying deeper and deeper into the facility, it past many rooms. What's in there you ask? Broken CI cars, strapped on platforms. Scientists holding report papers, weapons being tested on them, and irregular shaped objects, sitting in sealed glass chambers, with scientists examining them, recording every observation.

Furthermore, the car passed hangers. With specialised futuristic fighter jets, vault doors holding unknown substances and lots and lots of busy scientists running around the facility.

Deeper into the facility, several floating platforms can be seen. The car floated to the largest platform and stopped before slowly landing. At the middle of the platform is a desk, a uniformed man with red neck tie and dark brown coat is sitting there. The cyborg hopped off her car and turned the car back into her giant battle bot form. The crew dropped out, the uniformed man was shocked to see the crew in a bad condition.

"I'm sorry agent Rhea, why is the crew like this?" He asked.

"Sir, you told me to try my best to get them here."

"Yes I did but I didn't tell you to bring them here by force! You know that will get you into many legal problems!"

"I'm so sorry sir."

The man sighed,

Rhea the bomberwoman, an experienced cyborg of the organisation who had been working here for years. She is a 2 meter tall cyborg inside a giant battle bot which granted her an additional 0.7 meters.

Rhea kicked Albur lightly, which successfully woke him. She did the same to Mysty, which also woke her. They both stood up while groaning.

"What the... where are we?"

The other coffin moved violently. Rhea noticed it, she walked to it and ripped off the chains. The coffin bust opened, Johnson and Covie fell out from it, groaning in pain. Rhea also untangled Covie from the capture net.

"Argh...curse my stomach..."

Albur helped Johnson up, Rhea scoffed and step backwards. The uniformed man cleared his throat.

"Greetings, the Glitch Wipeout Crew. "

The crew's eyes moved onto the man.

"I deeply apologize on the behalf of our agents, I'm very sorry for the method in getting you all here."

Albur looked around this place, unable to recognize where are they.

"What is this place? Why are we here? Who are you people?"

"We are the Ultrahazardous Threat Defender. Or you refer as UTD. We are the special organization that protects Earth from threats. Like super villains, aliens, and many other threats. We are the organization that supplied the weapons to the military and also participated in the final showdown with Commander Glitch. "

Albur looked at the rest of the crew, all of them shrugged.

"Well you all may not know our existence, well, UTD had existed for decades. In the past years we kept our identities hidden and protect Earth quietly. We hold the most advanced technology on Earth, and...."

"Ok wait, you said this place hold the most advanced technology on Earth, then where are you all during the infection?" Albur interrupted.

The slot 3 of Albur's rifle moved a little.

"Well that is the reason why you are all here. I am the organization's director, Rale Towelestone."

Rale stood up and walked to the crew.

"You see, we discovered a brand new ultrahazardous threat. Glitches. They might seem harmless as they only cause annoying fails in systems, they became a threat if they are used in the wrong hands. One very specific example, T.H.I.N.K.E Artificial Intelligence model 59, Commander Glitch. "

"Model 59?"

"T.H.I.N.K.E. bots are a series of artificial intelligences made in the year 2500, Commander Glitch is one of them, who is also the Humans vs Robot war's starter."

Rale clicked another button that showed a different hologram.

"Glitches, a digital lifeform that exist when a coding error is materialized and given intelligence. They have the ability to parasitize objects and organisms that have physical bodies. During the infection due to our lack of technology to fight the glitches we failed to protect Earth. "

"So....why are we here? I thought the glitches were mostly killed?" Asked Mysty.

Rale snapped his fingers. Rhea walked to a projector and activated it. The projector showed a hologram of Xectar City. In the city, multiple red dots are seen.

"Have you all ever witness broken CIs attacking citizens lately?"

The crew looked at each other.

"Like, CI cars coming alive and attacking recklessly?"

"An example."

Johnson realized something odd.

"Yeah, why are there still glitch infected CIs? I thought every single one that is materialized by Commander Glitch using the generator was killed. Without a leader they won't do anything."

"That is what we are researching right now. Agent Rhea. "

Rhea walked to the desk, she pressed a button next to a computer. Then, a chunk of the platform opened, a tube rose from the hole, it carried a special plate with an object on it. Rale walked to that object. The object is an irregular shaped object. It has the color scheme of a glitch and scientific lines on it.

"This is...." murmured Johnson.

"A corrupt splinter." said Rale.

Rhea then clicked the projector again, it showed a hologram of Commander Glitch.

"These splinters are the fragments of the physical body of Commander Glitch. Each one contains 0.0001% to 0.0003% of CG's power. These fragments also appeared to be the cause of the glitch activities lately, these fragments react to the glitches and cause them to go terrorizing for unknown reasons."

"Wait, remember that time Albur killed Commander Glitch using Prismatic Guillotine? We saw his body burst and pieces of him flew in different directions right?"

"So that is what made the Corrupt Splinters. "

Then, Rale switched the hologram to a screen. It showed numerous clips of people fighting UTD, each one are seen to using glitch powers.

"Now, these splinters are scattered across the world, in the wrong hands, the splinters will be a deadly weapon. We must retrieve them all as fast as we could."

"Uh, sorry to ask but, does the splinters itself grow stronger overtime as well?" Asked Covie.

"Well apparently yes, these fragments also possess the ability to grow more powerful overtime, they will double their powers every 3 months, according to our calculations. "

"Damn, no wonder CG grew that strong after 6000 years. " Said Albur.

"Specifically 5630 years." Murmured Mysty.

"These fragments also have high durability as well as reconstructing abilities. But for now no research showed that they have the ability to think, as the core brain of Commander Glitch is the main part that made him able to think, but oddly, the core brain contradicts with glitch energy. It grew so defensive overtime becoming nearly indestructible but remain extremely vulnerable to glitch energy attacks." Explained Rale.

"Alright, you dragged a little...too far from the q-question why... are we-here?" asked Johnson.

"Right, the main objective of bringing you here is to recruit you all. "

Rale switched the hologram to a screen. Showing scenes of the crew fighting Commander Glitch, the crew froze when looking at those scenes. Memory flooded their mind.

"As the members of the legendary Earth savior, the Glitch Wipeout Crew, you know how glitches works, how they act, how they attack and information about them. Which is important to our research and stopping further terrorize attacks, we want to prevent further infections in the future." said Rale.

The crew looked at each other, they gathered their heads together at a corner.

"Are we going on action again?" asked Albur.

"Sounds like we are going to fight glitches again, for life." Said Mysty.

"Brother, I don't wanna get involved in this now." complained Johnson.

"Master didn't you say you swore to kill all glitches?" Asked Covie.

"My fighting days are over. I'm planning on killing them using RNP tech. I wanna start healing from my past trauma."

The crew looked at each other, the air is awkwardly quiet.

"Why not let the stupid one decide?" Johnson looked at Albur.

"What, why me?" asked Albur.

"You are the one that does things in the most stupid, irritating way but those all make sense, plus you are very very persuasive, I believe you can make a choice that is good."

Albur thought for a second, he then turned around and looked at Rale.

"Uh, Mr. director, I understand that we are important to this research thing to stop villains and stuff, but, unfortunately, our answer for the recruitment is...no."

Rale slightly flinched upon hearing Albur.

"Yeah, we actually want to return to our normal life for now. We are happy we could help but, we just want to settle down now. Since the infection thing is pretty traumatic to us. Plus we have a member in the team who has a very serious trauma and we are on the way of healing it."

"But this case is very very serious. We really need the GWC's help."

Albur sighed.

"Look, we could share the information you want and research on anything. But we don't really wanna participate in the battles. We want to settle down, for at least a while more."

Rale lowered his head, and nodded lightly.

"Then what about Mr. John? His reputation and knowledge of glitches are definitely...."

"No!"

Johnson yelled.

"My fighting days are over! I am healing from a mental issue of mine. I don't consent to help."

Rhea tilted her head, and clicked her tongue.

Rale lowered his head, and nodded again.

"Fine, I can't force you all. Guards, take them back to their city."

Rale said as he ordered the CI security guards. The guards told the crew to follow them, they walked out of the facility.

Rhea turned her head towards Rale. He seems disappointed.

She scoffed, she slowly walked towards the exit of the facility.

At the other side, the crew was getting ready to take a speed boat back home. But when Albur was about to board the boat, an object flew directly to him. Albur immediately saw that, he took a step back, the object hit the wall next to him, cracking the wall. The rest of the crew was shocked too. They looked towards the direction where the object is fired. Rhea is standing there.

"Hey! What was that for?" Yelled Albur.

The slot 3 of Albur's rifle moved a little.

Rhea scoffed, and turned around.

"In case you have a change in mind."

She walked away.

Albur looked at the object. It is a card, a card made of metal with a phone number on it.

The crew didn't think more about it, they rode the boat and returned to the continent where they lived after a few hours.
