The ashes cleared, Albur groaned as he stood up, his head was hit by a rock that was launched by the explosion. He slowly recovered from the dizziness.
He looked around him, Mysty and Covie is lying on the ground, knocked out of consciousness. Albur quickly wake the 2 up, and helped them get up.
"Man....I'm tired of kept getting knocked out...."
Covie returned to good condition and healed the 2 from whatever injuries. They looked around their surroundings, the factory is blown up, smoke and chunk of buildings are seen everywhere.
"What happened just now?"
"There is an explosion.....and...wait.....John!"
Albur remembered Johnson, he quickly looked left to right and sprinted around the factory. Mysty and Covie also remembered him. They quickly went to search as well.
"Wait, where's Rhea? She should be here too!"
"Where is that place again?"
Covie flew around and scanned the area, then, she spotted, Rhea, not far away from them.
"Guys! Rhea is right there!"
Covie yelled at the 2. Albur and Mysty quickly hurried and followed Covie.
They got to Rhea's spot, she is holding a green glowing tube while panting, she slowly set it down on the floor.
"Rhea?"
Rhea noticed the crew behind her, she sighed and turned around.
"Rhea! Do you see John? Is he taken by that monster? Where is he now!?" Albur asked in a panic while looking around Rhea.
Rhea did not speak, she just looked at Albur coldly, silence surrounded the atmosphere for a few seconds.
Albur looked around even carefully, dumping every building ruins. But found nothing. He looked at Rhea, still panting. Covie flew away to go look for him.
"Where is he?!"
Mysty took a step forward.
"Is he taken by that entity thing? If then let's go! Rhea have the energy detector right? We can still find him quick enough and revive him using Covie's powers!"
Albur turned his head to Mysty, and looked at Rhea again. Rhea still didn't speak nor move, her fists just clenched harder and harder until the robot suit have mere cracks.
"You are the last one there! You grabbed the monster's arm! And then there is an explosion, what did you do?"
Rhea didn't make a movement and stood completely still, and avoided eye contact with Albur.
"What is wrong with you? Do you see where he went?"
Albur stepped forward, his voice raised.
"You saw where the monster went? Just tell us! Why are you so quiet!? Its immediate!"
"Rhea."
Rhea took a step back.
"Hey! Speak!"
Rhea finally exclaimed in frustration and punched the cracked wall in front of her, making it collapse and turn into ash. She turned around and stared at Albur, not knowing how to answer him.
"He is no longer here....."
Albur froze, same goes to Mysty.
"The entity...killed him?"
"No....."
"Then?"
"I....that entity...."
Her breath became heavy. Albur took a step forward and pushed her.
"What do you mean he is dead?! Is he taken or anything? What's the cause? Just tell us!"
"I...killed him....."
The two gasped, they were completely flabbergasted. Albur's hands shook as he looked at Rhea.
"You.....what?" Albur's voice shook.
"That's not true..." Mysty stared at Rhea in disbelief.
Then, a distant yell echoed through the whole area. Its Covie. Albur and Mysty quickly hurried over. Rhea stared as she slowly walked towards that direction.
The two reached Covie's spot, Rhea walked to them coldly. Covie is staring at a direction, her body and her hands trembled dangerously violent.
"Covie? What's wrong?"
Covie sniffed in tears, she turned her head behind her. Albur and Mysty looked towards that direction, and their heart dropped.
Behind Covie is a burnt ground, black smoke is still rising, it is seemingly the spot that the explosion occured just now. Beside the smoke, was.....
A human hand, with microchips attached to it, and a flexible robot arm. Exactly the like the left arm of Johnson, in a pool of blood. And next to the arm, was a purple arm resembling the monster's arm. And next to the 2 broken arms, was many other broken pieces of Johnson's body, and the alarm on top of his head, cracked and have crimson stains.
Albur's hands shook as he kneeled on the ground. Mysty looked at those pieces in great disbelief. Albur picked up the arm, with his hands shaking uncontrollably violent.
"Covie....you can still revive him....r-right? ...r-r-right?" Mysty looked at Covie.
Covie choked in tears and started sobbing. She flew near and wall and smashed her head against it while oil leaked out of her.
"No.....this damage....is out of my reviving powers..."
Covie choked and coughed,
Albur's fist gripped hard, he slowly stood up, and turned to Rhea.
"You did this.....? Expla...nation?"
Rhea looked down at the floor.
"I couldn't save him.....that entity will kill us all....."
"I don't want...that answer....."
Rhea remained cold without any expression on her face.
"I can't find a way to save him without killing us all....I..."
"I don't want that answer..." Albur's voice raised.
"What answer do you want?!"
"WHY DO YOU KILL HIM?" Albur yelled at Rhea, she was startled.
"I already said, that monster will kill us all! It..."
"So you don't have confidence of beating it? So you fucking killed John for that REASON?!"
Covie and Mysty gasped. Albur breathed even heavier and his fists tightened so hard the nails are about to puncture his skin.
"Not because of that monster, this whole building is cracking.....we....."
"This whole building cracking made you decide to kill him!!!!!!?"
"It's not that simple, the whole buildings collapsing will...."
"We fought monsters! Abominations! Glitch generals way tougher than that monster! EVEN WITHOUT THE PRISMATIC BLADE! AND YOU HELPED HIM CHOOSE TO SACRIFICE HIM JUST BECAUSE THIS BUILDING WILL FALL APART AND THE MONSTER WOULD KILL US?!!!!"
Albur stepped closer and closer to Rhea. Rhea slowly backed away.
"I SAID! It's not that simple! There is a reason why I do that! Let me explain!"
"Explain what? I asked you for your help to help John.....Mysty asked too....even he cried for help before he was dragged.....you could just tear his leg to help him break free from that monster and blow it! With Covie the injury could be healed very quickly! Yet you chose to kill him!? WHY?"
Albur became more furious and started to lose his mind.
"Albur... calm down...."
"The struggle would've collapsed this whole place, and it will cause a very very..."
"I don't blame you if you doubt our strength...we are ordinary humans after all....but why do you kill him without even saying?! You could have told us! We are a team!"
"Look, I know you are sad, angry at me.....but I did that for the greater good, for our sake.....for..."
"Just because the collapse would kill us?! You killed my friend!"
"YOU ASS! I SAID! ITS NOT THAT SIMPLE! WHY CAN'T YOU LET ME EXPLAIN?"
Albur roared in fury and pulled out his rifle before shooting a Hyper Blast at Rhea. Rhea wasn't quick enough to completely block it, it injured a little of her face. Albur growled in anger and pulled Rhea out of her battle bot suit and punched her face repeatedly before slamming her on the ground.
"Albur! Stop!" Mysty yelled.
Albur pinned Rhea on the ground, despite Rhea could fight back but she chose not to. Albur shoved his rifle at Rhea's face and charged a Virus Corruption. But before he pull the trigger, he stopped.
Silence filled the whole area. Rhea and Albur both panted, tears rolled down Albur's cheek. He removed the rifle from Rhea's face. He stood up, his fists tightened harder and harder. At last, he raised his rifle, and smashed it in half, shattering it.
Everyone was shocked, the voice of the rifle hitting the ground echoed across the whole place.
He threw the pieces on the ground with electric sparks still seen.
He sobbed, and choked, before breaking down and crying uncontrollably. He forced himself to keep the tears and walked away slowly.
No one talked, no one spoke, just silence. Mysty looked at the way Albur ran, tears still rolled in her eyes, she sniffed as she chased Albur. Covie continued crying silently, uncontrollably. Rhea sighed, and gently touched her cracked jaw bone.
The rifle light up. A faint hologram of a head flickered.
"Albur.....? Albur?"
The hologram weakened and flickered again.
"What's going on?" Asked Havoc.
