I asked Luca what his father's name.
I was just hoping it must not be true what I was thinking.
He was about to reply but before he could say anything someone called his name, " Luca"
My heart sank. I know this voice. It's Lydia.
I turned toward him. Lydia was also shocked to see me there.
Luca came closer to me and cling on my legs.
He said to me, " I don't want to go. Mom will beat me."
I heard the word "mom". So it's true.
When I was in switzerland, I saw the news of Lydia and Nick's wedding.
Now they have a baby together. Wow. What a surprise I got after my return.
Lydia got angry on Luca. She yelled on him, " Why are you with this women. Leave him now."
Because of her yelling Luca got scared. He held me more tightly.
Lydia came near me to pull Luca but I stop her.
I said, " What are you doing? He is just a kid."
Lydia yelled on me also, " Now you will tell me how ahould I treat my baby."
I gave her a confused look. I didn't get it what she wanted to imply.
But she ignored me fully and She pulled Luca. The boy was crying but she didn't listen. She took him away.
I wanted to stop her but I can't he is not my son.
Aftee there leaving, I also get into my car.
I reached the bakery. I met everyone ans thanks them for taking care of the bakery.
Today I was not in the mood of doing work so I enjoyed my bakeries cake only.
Jack was also there with me.
" Lydia and Nick had a baby together." I asked.
Honestly, that boy's face was constantly coming in front of me.
Jack gave me a surprise look. He said, " How do you know?"
I replied, " I met Luca today, son of Nick and Lydia.
Jack was in super shock. He said, , " what"
I nodded.
He said, " You were right, they were together before. They gave a birth to the baby after 7 month when you left the city."
When I listened this, I was shattered. I always something should be happened that night. May be there parents set them up by trick. But in reality, they were betraying even before I realise.
I got watery eyes. Jack noticed.
He hugged me. I thought I had overcome with him. But no, I an still there when we were together.
I never moved on. I get up from there and left the bakery. Jack wanted to come but I want to be alone.
I was driving rashly. But before something mishappened, I reached the location.
I got down the car. In front of me there was a bar. I went there last when my mom died. That time was unbearable for me so For a month I drank too much. Always came here. Until I reached the hospital. That day, I promised Jack and myself, I will not drink this much. But Today, I am breaking the promise.
I went inside and order the liquor. I was drinking constantly. I didn't know how much I drank. Bartender also refuses to serve me but I gave him more money and gave him warning of his job. He gave me another shot.
The time of me and Nick when we were together was constantly surrounding in my head.
I gave my full love to him, but still he did this to me.
Slowly slowly I started to loose my consciousness.
I don't what is happening around me. Suddenly a man came to me and asked, " hey, are you okay?"
I replied, " Mind your own business."
I tried to get up but I lost my balance and fall.
But I fell in the arm of that man.
He saw me and said, " You are not okay."
He lifted me up. I want that man to tell, stay away from me but I can't.
He carried me to his car and made me to sit there.
I tried to see his face. But I was unable to open my eyes due to effect of liquor.
I was thinking if that man do something wrong with me.
After sometime we reached somewhere. He carried me again in his arm. After walking nearly for 5 minutes. He helped me to lie down on a soft place.
It's a bed. I was that much sleepy, I didn't even realise when I slept in just 2 seconds.
I woke up in the morning. I saw I am in a strange room. Where am I. I have the memory of me visiting the bar only. After that I forget everything.
I was thinking how I reached here in the meanwhile. Someone enters into my room.
I was shocked when I saw him. Only word came to my mouth was, " Peter"
He came toward me and said , " are you okay."
" No", I replied.
He handed a glass toward me and said, " You must have a headache. Drink it you will feel better."
I too the glass and drank. That's lemonade.
After drinking, I asked to Peter, " What are you doing here."
"It's my hometown", he replied.
I said, " What"
" I heard you are from LA."
"Actually, My dad is from LA and my mom is from here. I was born at this place and spend my childhood here. So, it's my hometown for me."
" ohh", I nodded.
He said, " You should freshen up now."
Then he left the room.
He seems very different today. Peter and I were in same class in switzerland. Infact he is the topper of our class and also the crush of every girl in the school.
It would be lie if I say he was not my crush, but I love only Nick(with sadness).
He was always rude and arrogant. I had never seen him talking to anyone whole the time.
I was in surprise upon seeing his caring nature.
I got up and went to the washroom. I saw there was everything of my need towels, bathrob and even a set of dress including innerwears.
I was surprised. But I didn't pay attention to this too much. I took a shower because I was smelling like a rotten egg.
The dress was fit to me as it is my dress. I was surprised again. But then I thought it must be of his girlfriend.
After getting ready I came out. I asked a maid, " Where is peter?"
" In the kitchen, Ma'am." She replied.
I went to the kitchen after asking direction to that maid.
Peter was preparing something. May be his breakfast.
I don't know what he is making but the smell was super tempting.
I always heared his admiration from every professor and student who had ever tried his cooking. Honestly, I also wanted to taste but never got the chance.
I also heard the girls saying, " His partner would be very lucky as she always get the chance of eating meal prepared by him everyday.
I was in my thoughts when Peter called me, " Miss Smith."
I looked at him. He handed a plate of breakfast. There was a pancake.
I saw the pancakes and recalled the memory of Nick and Lydia preparing pancakes together in my kitchen.
I got upset. He also noticed. He asked, " What happen, don't you like it?"
"No", I replied.
He said, " Ohh"
Then I said, " I think I should leave and thanks for the last night."
He asked, " Do you want to do something in exchange?"
I looked at him in surprise. He wants me to do something in return. He is really heartless.
But I said, " Say what I have to do?"
He replied, " Attend a party with me as my date."
I looked at him in surprise. Then I rembered, Nick also asked me to attend the party when we first met.
I got upset again.
