Compared to the Dragon in the Chat Group, the Dragon created by the Earth's Guardian seemed much smaller.
It didn't look as majestic, and its voice seemed a little weak.
"State your wish, you who have gathered the Dragon Balls, I can grant any wish you desire."
The Dragon's lips moved slightly, and a resounding voice echoed throughout the entire Lookout.
"Can you really grant any wish?"
Vegeta expressed his doubt, his gaze sweeping to the Earth's Guardian standing behind him.
"That's right, whether you want to become the richest person in the world, or the King of Earth, I can fulfill wishes like that."
As he spoke, the Dragon's tone seemed to show a hint of pride.
"Then turn me into a Super Saiyan," Vegeta said tentatively after careful consideration.
"Su... Super Saiyan?" The Dragon's voice hitched, then he looked down at Vegeta for a long moment and said, "This wish cannot be granted."
"Didn't you say you could grant any wish?" Vegeta asked with a look of disdain.
"The wish you spoke of exceeds the capabilities of my creator, the Earth's Guardian. Such a wish cannot be granted. However, if you wish to know the method to become a Super Saiyan, I can tell you..."
"No need, you don't need to tell me that."
Vegeta directly interrupted the Dragon as he was talking non-stop.
Knowing it, what's the use of knowing? Do I need you, the Dragon, to tell me the method to transform into a Super Saiyan?
I pretty much know it already. Although the Group Leader didn't say it directly, it's 100% certain that my current combat power is not up to par.
"Uh..." Vegeta's unconventional response caused a hint of awkwardness to appear on the Dragon's face, but since his face was entirely green and his eyes were disturbingly red, no one could discern the Dragon's expression.
"Then what other wish do you have?" the Dragon continued to ask.
"Can you help me unlock my potential?" As a high-ranking Saiyan warrior and royalty, he hadn't trained much over the years, but Vegeta firmly believed that his talent was absolutely no worse than a Frost Demon's.
After Vegeta finished speaking, a red glow appeared in the Dragon's eyes.
However, after a moment, the red glow quickly dissipated, and the Dragon spoke again:
"The wish you made exceeds the Earth's Guardian's power limit. This wish cannot be granted."
Vegeta's mouth twitched; he was no longer so surprised.
Isn't unlocking potential a Namekian ability?
Is it that the Dragon is too trash, or the Dragon's creator is too trash?
"Cough, cough." After a long time without Vegeta making a wish, the Dragon seemed to feel a bit bad. After all, he claimed to be able to grant any wish, yet he couldn't fulfill two wishes in a row.
This was a bit of a slap in the face.
"Um... Saiyan, you can make wishes that are within the Earth's Guardian's power, and it's okay if they exceed it a little sometimes. For example, things like resurrection, you must have some deceased people, right? This kind of wish, although it exceeds the Earth's Guardian's limit, I can still do it with my power."
The Dragon was already praising himself.
He saw that not only Vegeta, but even the Earth's Guardian and all the Earthlings watching him, were somewhat doubting the power of him, the Dragon.
No, the Dragon's reputation cannot be ruined in his hands.
"Resurrection..." Vegeta thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Then let's do this: help me revive my sister, Beryl. Her death occurred about 20 years ago; I'm not entirely sure of the exact time."
The time of Ginyu's injury and the destruction of Planet Vegeta were roughly within a few days of each other. If his sister, Beryl, had an accident, it might have been around that time.
Vegeta didn't seem to have much confidence in the Dragon, so he thought for a moment and added, "My sister's appearance is white hair, and also..."
Scouring his blurry memories, Vegeta took half a minute to say everything he could think of.
The Dragon perked up his ears, listening carefully to Vegeta's narration, then began to search for relevant information using his Dragon Energy.
One minute, two minutes, a full five minutes passed.
Only then did the red light in the Dragon's eyes slowly dissipate.
At this point, the Dragon's tone became somewhat subdued: "I regret to inform you that this wish of yours also cannot be granted."
"Why?" Vegeta subconsciously pressed.
The Dragon, having failed to grant three wishes, felt compelled to explain the reason. He paused and then said:
"Your sister, Beryl, disappeared approximately twenty years ago, shortly after the destruction of Planet Vegeta."
"She was fighting someone named Ginyu on some planet, but in the end, that planet was destroyed by Ginyu, and your sister also disappeared at that time."
Indeed, his sister's death was related to Ginyu.
Vegeta was not surprised by this.
"What does that have to do with not being able to revive her? Are you unable to revive people who have been dead for too long?" Vegeta asked, puzzled.
"No, that's not it," the Dragon firmly denied, "Your sister's soul is not in the Otherworld."
"How is that possible!" Vegeta exclaimed in shock.
His sister was so well-behaved and often did good deeds, yet she wasn't in the Otherworld.
Could it be Hell...?
"Was my sister, Beryl, reincarnated with her memories wiped?" Vegeta asked hesitantly.
"I don't know," the Dragon answered truthfully, "My power is closely tied to the Earth's Guardian. If you want to know more about your sister, you will have to find a more powerful Dragon."
"Go to Namek, the Dragon's homeland. There is a more powerful Dragon there than me; perhaps he can tell you the answer."
"Namek..."
Hearing these words, Vegeta's mouth twitched.
Frieza was heading there now. If they went with their current strength, were they planning to offer themselves up?
"Saiyan, do you have any other wishes? As long as the wish you make doesn't exceed my power, I can grant it."
Vegeta: "..."
This Dragon even changed the way he spoke.
"Go on, get out of here, go back where you came from."
Vegeta waved his hand at the Dragon, an expression of disdain on his face.
"Uh..." A moment of awkwardness appeared on the Dragon's face, then he coughed, "Then, you who have gathered the Dragon Balls, if you have no other wishes, then I shall take my leave."
The Dragon's outline quickly disappeared, turning golden.
Then, the seven Dragon Balls flew in all directions with a "whoosh".
However, they hadn't flown far before they were all intercepted by the other Z Fighters who had been waiting.
"Huh? The Dragon said so much just now, do none of those count as wishes?"
Goku, holding the four-star dragon ball, was somewhat surprised that the Dragon Balls hadn't turned into stone.
"Because the wishes weren't successful, so, I guess not," Earth's Guardian said, also unsure.
Did he really create this Dragon?
It felt like this Dragon knew much more than him, the Earth's Guardian, even knowing about Namek.
Goku walked over to Vegeta, patted Vegeta's shoulder, and said:
"It's okay, Vegeta. Next time I go to the Otherworld, I'll ask King Yemma for you. If your sister, Beryl, has been to the Otherworld, King Yemma should have a record of it."
Hearing Goku say that, going to the Otherworld sounded as easy and carefree as going home.
"Hmph, I don't want to owe you a favor, Kakarot." Vegeta coolly said, swatting away the hand on his shoulder.
"Don't say that, you've joined us now, haven't you?"
Goku had an overly familiar expression.
