Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Three Against One

A Level 7 adventurer?!

As Hegni's shocked voice rang across the battlefield, every member of the Freya Familia turned pale.

A judgment made by a Level 6 like Hegni could not be wrong. Countless stunned, horrified, disbelieving gazes fell upon that distorted figure.

No one was unaware of what that level meant.

They simply had never expected to encounter one here.

After the Great Feud, only two Level 7 adventurers remained in the world—

"King" Ottar, and "The Ultimate Knight" Leon Vardenberg.

The mysterious figure before them was clearly not their own boaz captain, and Leon Vardenberg was still traveling the world with the School District.

Then who in the world was this monster?!

The members of the Freya Familia roared inwardly, their expressions dark.

Seen in that light, the total annihilation of Hedin and the group he had brought earlier was no longer incomprehensible.

Who could have imagined that in a shabby place like Daedalus Street, a Level 7 powerhouse would suddenly appear?

Being caught off guard and wiped out was only natural.

Having obtained Level 7–tier parameters, Roy activated his magic.

The longsword he forged reached epic-class quality—perhaps even the finest among them.

It was more than enough to contend with Hegni's cursed blade.

Roy gripped the sword with both hands and forced it downward.

Hegni was completely suppressed.

His knees slammed into the ground, the sheer weight of the force cracking the stone beneath him.

"Hear me, Allen!" Hedin shouted.

"I know, you pest!"

Allen responded coldly as he launched a rear assault. His figure burst forward, crossing the distance between them in an instant. His silver spear thrust viciously toward Roy's back.

Sensing the tearing wind behind him, Roy gave a cold smile.

A Falna was not mere enhancement—

It was evolution.

Upon reaching Level 7, even his body had changed.

With focused concentration, he could hear sounds hundreds of meters away.

He could see objects several kilometers in the distance.

Though temporary, this Level 7 state felt incomparably wondrous—

As if he had stepped into another dimension.

Roy decisively abandoned Hegni as his target and spun around.

His blade scraped against Allen's silver spear.

Effortlessly, he blocked the ambush of the man known as the "Fastest in the City."

Using Allen's own momentum, Roy flipped in midair.

A kick and a punch landed simultaneously on Allen and Hegni, blasting both of them backward.

A faint crack sounded from Allen's shoulder where he had been struck.

Bone fractured.

His face twisted.

What kind of speed and monstrous strength was this?

Even more terrifying than that damned boar.

Hegni fared worse.

The punch to his abdomen nearly forced bile from his throat. His internal organs were injured.

As Allen and Hegni were forced back, Hedin completed his chant.

"Eternal strife, undying thunder-soldiers—Carus Hild!"

Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!

At once, countless silver lightning spears manifested around him, densely packed, illuminating the entire night sky.

Roy cast a cold glance.

All of Hedin's information was already clear in his mind.

A short-chant magic capable of generating hundreds of lightning spears within seconds.

A single spear was enough to render a Level 2 adventurer unconscious.

They could also be freely controlled and reshaped to attack from multiple angles.

Roy's sword transformed—

Becoming a massive shield that stood before him.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Under Hedin's control, the innumerable silver lightning spears rained down upon Roy like a storm.

The area of coverage was vast, leaving no room for escape.

The continuous bombardment roared into the heavens.

The earth trembled.

Within several hundred meters, everything was reduced to craters and rubble.

"Did it work?"

The members of the Freya Familia stared tensely into the thick dust cloud.

In their hearts, they prayed to the goddess they loved and revered most—

Freya.

They wished only to see a corpse.

Not that twisted silhouette.

Their prayers were doomed to fail.

As the dust settled—

The distorted figure stood at the center of countless craters.

Unharmed.

A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.

One word surfaced in their minds—

A genuine monster.

He withstood a Level 6's magic?!

Of course, Roy had not endured it with his flesh alone.

The shield formed from his own magic had absorbed the brunt of the assault.

For a moment, he had nearly used Riveria's defensive magic—but that carried risk.

The Phantom Mask could alter his voice, yet the chant itself might expose him.

At the critical moment, Roy realized—

Hedin was not yet the "White Elf Mage" who had reached his peak during the Great Faction War of the original timeline.

He had only reached Level 6 two years ago.

His overall parameters were likely in the two- to three-hundred range, with Magic slightly higher.

There was nothing to fear.

Roy could block it with chantless magic alone.

This—

Was the power of sheer numbers.

Boom!

Roy, Allen, Hedin, and Hegni plunged into chaotic melee once more.

Each collision was like a blast from an ignis stone.

The mysterious "berserker" fought alone against three Level 6 executives of the Freya Familia—

And at times, even suppressed them.

The atmosphere shifted.

For the first time, doubt flickered in the hearts of the Freya Familia members.

A trace of awe crept onto faces that had once been filled with confidence.

Level 7 truly was invincible.

Their standard for Level 7 had always been Ottar.

Even if the entire Freya Familia attacked together, they would only barely manage a draw against him.

Though they possessed several Level 6 adventurers—

The higher the level, the more terrifying the gap.

Level 7 and Level 6 were incomparable.

And Roy possessed maxed-out parameters.

Even if he were a "blank slate" Level 7—lacking technique, experience, skills, or magic—

He could still crush them through raw numbers alone.

People often said Orario had many "stat monsters."

But in over half a year here, Roy had yet to see one—

Even as he fought, Roy did not forget his purpose.

He spoke coldly:

"What's wrong? Why not use your magic? Are you hiding it?"

The members of the Freya Familia froze.

Their gazes eventually fell upon the three executives.

"My skill—'Fiery Golden Eyes'—can see through all magic in this world," Roy declared deliberately.

Then his gaze locked onto Hedin.

"Why not use that 'Lightning Enhancement' magic?"

Hedin's expression darkened instantly.

He knew exactly which magic Roy referred to.

—Lorenz Hild.

A blessing of swift thunder that granted the target lightning armor, enhancing attack, defense, speed, reaction time, and perception.

It could not be cast upon himself.

It could only be used on someone he acknowledged.

Once activated, it consumed all of his Mind—

And restored the recipient's injuries.

He had never encountered anyone he truly acknowledged.

Since awakening that magic, he had never once used it.

Aside from Lady Freya—

No one knew he possessed such magic.
