Chapter 217 - Chapter 205: Paradise Island!

"Hah! Opening the door and running into a few 'mermaids' is way better than running into Dark Elves."

With a "critical" gaze, Alex began commenting on the women swimming and playing in the lake.

"Their figures are all well-proportioned. You can tell they've trained for years."

"Look at that shape. Full is the main theme."

"And those legs. Damn, long and straight."

"They're athletic too. They look strong. Good frame."

"Not an ounce of extra fat. Nice muscle definition. Pick any one of them and she could enter a bodybuilding competition."

Alex casually used an Eye of Truth on a woman with reddish-brown hair.

The woman had red hair and fair skin and was floating on her back in the water.

The clear lake water provided no cover at all. Every secret on her body was visible to Alex.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

[Name: Helena]

[Life Level: Level 3 (Amazon)]

[Status: Calm]

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

'Level 3 lifeform.'

'Not human.'

Alex was not particularly surprised by this discovery.

After all, this was the DC Universe. Lifeforms of all levels existed here.

And he now knew that life level was only a reference. A higher life level did not necessarily mean greater strength.

For example, in the Marvel Universe, Iron Man was only a Level 2 lifeform, but that did not stop him from putting on his armor and fighting back and forth with Thor, a Level 7 lifeform.

What surprised Alex was the line that said "Amazon."

He instantly knew where he was.

'Paradise Island.'

'The Amazons.'

A race in the DC Universe said to have been created by Zeus.

The entire race consisted of women.

Paradise Island was the homeland of the Amazons and the birthplace of Wonder Woman, Diana.

He had actually ended up on Paradise Island. This island was protected by magic.

From the outside world, it was very difficult to discover its existence.

If he had not appeared directly on Paradise Island, Alex had no confidence he could find such a place in the middle of the ocean.

Looking at the lake again, every Amazon woman there was tall and slender, 'As expected of a race created by Zeus.'

Each one was tall and athletic. Based on appearance alone, none of them were inferior to Diana.

As for why all Amazons were women, Alex once had a rather malicious guess.

In Greek mythology, Zeus was a complete pervert. Greek mythology was filled with chaotic and messy stories.

For all he knew, the entire Amazon race might have been his harem.

'Still, no matter what, Paradise Island truly lives up to its name.'

'It really is a paradise for men.'

'Of course, that is only if you can stand your ground here.'

After all, in ancient times, Amazons, Atlanteans, and humans were known as the three great races.

The Amazons seemed to be immortal and would not die of old age.

They were blessed by Zeus and guarded several divine artifacts.

The Lasso of Truth and the Godkiller Sword both came from Paradise Island.

'They should not be underestimated.'

Alex quietly reminded himself.

Still, he was not too worried. After all, he had already fought Odin, the All-Father.

There was no reason to fear a race created by gods.

At that moment, Alex felt something. Without making any visible move, an arrow flying toward him suddenly turned into soap bubbles and scattered apart.

A female archer hidden behind bushes over a hundred meters away nearly had her eyes pop out.

Then she shouted toward the lake.

"Hey, Helena!"

"Get up, all of you!"

"There's someone on the shore!"

"A man!"

She deliberately emphasized the word.

On Paradise Island, the word "man" carried about the same meaning as "demon."

Especially after Princess Diana had been taken away by a man, the Amazons spoke of men with both curiosity and caution.

Now that they heard there was actually a man on the shore, the Amazons in the lake all cried out in surprise.

Helena, with her red hair, raised her head and looked toward the shore with her brown eyes.

She saw a tall blond man standing there with his hands behind his back and a smile on his face. His gaze moved across her chest, still covered with droplets of water.

She snorted.

Unlike women in the outside world, she did not feel embarrassed after being seen naked by a man.

Helena only felt anger.

She quickly swam back to shore and came out of the lake, water dripping from her body.

Without putting on armor or clothes, she directly picked up a spear from the ground.

She reversed her grip, raised her arm, and stepped forward, exposing every part of her body without caring whether Alex saw it all.

Her strong legs stepped forward, planting her firmly in place.

Then she threw the spear with all her strength, using a special technique that made it spin at high speed with a sharp whistle.

The spear shot straight toward Alex's chest.

The force behind it was astonishing. It could probably pierce through stone.

'As expected of a race created by Zeus. Any one of them is a top warrior.'

They possessed both strength and skill.

'Too bad she ran into me.'

A slight smile appeared at the corner of Alex's mouth. He reached out and grabbed the spear.

The shaft was still spinning.

But one end was firmly caught in Alex's hand and could not move.

The rest of the shaft continued twisting.

Then it tore itself apart and exploded into several pieces.

A wave of gasps came from the lakeshore.

"He actually caught Helena's Flash Spear?"

"How is that possible?"

The Amazons had not left Paradise Island for a very long time, so they did not know that Alex had once devastated Metropolis. Their surprise was understandable.

Alex brushed off his hands and pointed at Helena.

Light flickered at his fingertip.

Several crimson bands glowing with magical light shot toward her.

The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak!

They easily wrapped around Helena.

With a pull from Alex, the naked Amazon flew toward him, bringing a few drops of water along with her.

Alex caught her in his arms.

Their chests immediately pressed together.

Helena was very tall, around 1.8 meters.

Standing beside Alex, she was only half a head shorter.

The Amazon in his arms stared at him with blazing anger and struggled with all her strength.

But even Thanos could not break free from those magical bands. There was no way Helena could.

Although she could not escape, the Amazon was indeed fierce. She bent one leg and drove her knee toward Alex's abdomen.

Alex did not move.

He let her hit him.

Then he reached out and lifted Helena's right leg high, forcing her to stand on one foot.

This time, Helena finally had no way left to fight back.

Only then did Alex chuckle.

"Is this how Amazons welcome friends?"

Seven or eight Amazons had already surrounded him.

The "mermaids" from earlier had put on armor, raised shields, and held spears.

Pointing their weapons at Alex, they shouted, "Let Helena go!"

"Fine."

Alex was straightforward.

With a flick of his hand, the magical bands snapped, throwing Helena away.

Helena spun through the air and finally splashed back into the lake.

The moment they saw Helena freed, the Amazons shouted and hurled their spears at Alex.
