Doctor Strange was holding a cube in his hands. It was a magical container, with the failed "Memory Spell" sealed inside.
With this magical container, he could easily send these visitors from the various universes back where they came from.
When he saw Osborn, Doctor Strange nodded, "You did a good job."
Spider-Man hurriedly said, "He's not dangerous."
But Doctor Strange had no intention of wasting time arguing with this brat. With a spell, he directly teleported Osborn into an empty magic cell.
Peter Parker could only say to Osborn, "It's okay. I can handle it."
"What's that?"
At this moment, he noticed the magical container in Doctor Strange's hand.
"An ancient magical artifact. It's called the 'Soul Returner.'"
Doctor Strange showed him the glowing mass inside, about the size of an egg and constantly spinning. "I trapped the damaged spell inside it. As long as I complete the correct ritual, I can reverse the spell."
Spider-Man raised an eyebrow, "What happens when you reverse the spell?"
Doctor Strange looked at the villains, including Homelander, "Obviously, it sends these guys back to their universes."
Doctor Octopus immediately spoke up, "What happens after you send us back?"
"You're going to send us back to die?"
"Thanks, but no thanks," Max said unwillingly.
Homelander also cooperated by shouting, "Peter Parker, help us!"
Osborn shouted in fear, "Let me out! Let me out, now!"
"Peter!"
Spider-Man hurriedly said, "Sir, we can't just send them back like this, can we?"
Doctor Strange asked matter-of-factly, "Why not?"
"If we send them back like this, they'll die," Peter Parker tried to persuade Doctor Strange.
Doctor Strange said helplessly, "Peter, that is their destiny."
"We can't casually change the fate of another universe. We have no idea what kind of changes that would bring."
Peter Parker's bleeding-heart compassion exploded, and he insisted, "Sir, please."
"These are people's lives."
Of course, Doctor Strange wasn't going to change his mind just because some brat had an excess of sympathy, "For the sake of the multiverse as a whole, I won't allow any changes."
"Their endings are far more important than their own lives."
"You must respect other people's destinies and have reverence for fate, child."
"I'm sorry, but they have to die."
With that, Doctor Strange closed his eyes and focused entirely on controlling the "Soul Returner." The container gradually changed, and a magical crystal pillar was extracted from it.
All that remained was one simple step before the visitors from the other universes could be sent back.
Homelander immediately shouted, "Peter Parker, think of something!"
"I don't want to die."
"I still have a daughter. She's sick. I have to save her!"
Osborn anxiously shouted as well, "Peter, help me."
The other villains didn't say anything, but it was obvious from their expressions that they were all extremely nervous.
Peter Parker looked at Doctor Strange, then at Osborn, Homelander, and the others.
In the end, he gritted his teeth, shot out a web, and stuck it to the "Soul Returner."
Doctor Strange immediately sensed it. He opened his eyes and looked at Peter Parker, "No. Don't do that."
"You little brat!"
The "Soul Returner" instantly landed in Peter Parker's hands. Using the magical wristband Doctor Strange had given him, he fired a beam of magical light and teleported Doctor Strange into the magic prison.
"Go! Peter!"
The MJ robot dutifully reminded him as she stepped in front of Spider-Man.
Spider-Man hurried toward the exit of the underground cavern.
Doctor Strange, who had teleported himself beside Homelander, shook his head, "Brats are such a pain. This is why I don't get married."
He simply walked out of the magic prison and teleported away from the cavern.
"Can someone tell me what just happened?"
"I'm starting to get a little confused."
"What's that kid doing? Did he have a falling-out with the wizard?", Max spoke with a rap-like rhythm.
The MJ robot said, "He's helping you."
"Can he get away from that wizard?"
Doctor Octopus didn't have much confidence in Spider-Man.
Homelander sat down, "Who knows? But right now, we can only rely on that kid."
"Hopefully, he can get that 'Soul Returner' back."
Professor Connors, the Lizard, said in a low voice, "And then what?"
"You're sure he'll help us?"
"Will he let us go?"
Homelander shrugged, "I don't know. But at least it's obvious that he wants to help."
Max shook his head, "Shit. I never thought I'd have to put my hopes in a high school student."
Osborn said in a low voice, "Having hope is better than having none. If that wizard sends us back like this, we'll all die."
"No. I don't want to die."
"Neither do I," Max said, shaking his head, "But I don't know how to untie this knot."
He looked at Doctor Octopus.
"Why are you looking at me?", Otto's temper flared up again.
"I don't know how to untie this knot either."
Max nodded, "I thought so. You don't exactly look very smart."
"Hey, kid."
"When I invented the nuclear fusion reactor, you didn't even know where you were."
"You'd better show me some respect!"
Doctor Octopus said angrily.
Just then, a portal opened.
The next moment, everyone saw Spider-Man do a backflip out of the portal and land steadily on the ground.
"I have to give it a try," He said this to Doctor Strange inside the portal.
The portal then closed.
"What happened?", Ned and MJ, the two robots faithfully playing the roles of Spider-Man's friends, quickly walked over.
Spider-Man excitedly said, "I beat Doctor Strange. Guess what? It turns out the Mirror Dimension is related to the Archimedes spiral."
"What?", MJ looked incredulous.
"Look, I even stole his magic ring," Peter Parker picked up the Sling Ring he had snatched from Doctor Strange.
At this point, Doctor Octopus asked, "Why did you do that?"
"You could have just let us die."
"Why didn't you?"
"What are you plotting?"
MJ immediately said, "He's not that kind of person."
Spider-Man also walked over and said sincerely, "I can help you."
"As long as I cure you, you'll have no reason to fight Spider-Man."
"And Spider-Man won't have any reason to kill you anymore."
Max laughed, "Cure us?"
"You're not joking, are you?"
Peter Parker said seriously, "We have advanced technology. I can help you."
"I'm a scientist too."
Osborn, having regained his composure, smiled, "Octavius knows what I'm capable of."
"I can help you."
Homelander glanced at Osborn. He wondered if the one speaking right now might be the Green Goblin.
Spider-Man meant well, but obviously, not everyone was willing to accept his help.
Doctor Octopus said, "Cure me?"
"Like you're curing a dog?"
"No way."
Peter Parker looked around at everyone in the room, "I can't guarantee that you'll definitely be able to change anything after you go back."
"But at least you'll have a chance to survive after you return."
"You'll get a new lease on life. Isn't that worth trying?"
The Lizard Connors said in a hoarse voice, "Believe me, Peter."
"When you try to cure someone else, there will always be serious consequences."
"Don't ask me how I know."
Homelander stood up and said, "What's wrong with you people?"
"Can't you see that he's helping us?"
"It's genuine."
"Can't you feel that at all?"
"Or do you want to go back and die?"
"If that's what you want, don't drag me into it. I don't want to die yet."
"Peter Parker, I believe you."
"I believe you can cure me, so when can I get out?"
With Homelander taking the lead, the other villains stopped arguing.
Homelander, acting as Sandman, was right.
They had no other choice now.
Either let Spider-Man cure them or return to their original universes and die.
Of course, none of them wanted to die.
As a result, Homelander and the others left the magic prison.
Spider-Man told them to wait for a moment, then walked aside with the two robots, Ned and MJ.
Homelander knew they were discussing where the "Soul Returner" should be placed.
He also knew that Peter Parker would have the two robots take the "Soul Returner" away.
Homelander silently released two streams of information and sent them into the two robots, MJ and Ned.
He had never considered altering the programs of the two robots to make them break off their friendship with Spider-Man or anything like that.
It had to be said that Staro really had some ability.
Homelander hadn't expected that the robot would have a way to break through his arrangements.
However, Staro probably hadn't expected that he possessed the ability of the "Information Domain."
Soon, the two streams of information entered the robots and set up a tracking program that Homelander could locate.
Under the influence of the "Information Domain," it would be very difficult to discover such a small program unless Staro conducted a complete inspection of the two robots.
When Homelander withdrew the information streams, Peter Parker also came back.
"Come with me."
He led the villains out of the cavern and to the first floor of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Peter Parker took out his phone and called May, asking her to bring a car to pick them up.
Then he said to MJ and Ned, "You two go ahead."
MJ held up the "Soul Returner" and said, "I'm warning you."
"Don't try anything funny."
"Otherwise, I'll send you back to die immediately."
After making a few threats, the two robots finally left.
But in the lobby of the Sanctum Sanctorum, a spider was watching everything.
The eyes on this spider transmitted footage of the Sanctum Sanctorum to Staro, who was somewhere in the city.
"Good. Everything is proceeding according to the original plot."
"That's how it should be."
"Don't change the plot. Don't attract the administrator's attention. Don't cause the plot correction to happen. Otherwise, the difficulty will increase dramatically."
Staro's eyes flickered. In his field of vision, one of the grids showed a view of Happy's apartment.
"Come on. While that annoying 'brother' of mine has been taken away by Captain Marvel, let's hurry up and finish the plot and end this invasion."
At this moment, Staro's eyes suddenly blinked.
"The sixth signal disappeared."
"Captain Marvel has already discovered the decoys I set up around the city. Hopefully, they can last until tomorrow."
"But that means I can't move around freely either."
"Otherwise, Captain Marvel might lock onto me. That would be bad."
———
Inside a reasonably spacious elevator, Homelander looked around.
To his left stood Spider-Man, who had taken off his mask.
To his right was Spider-Man's aunt, Happy's girlfriend, May.
Max and Osborn were standing in front of him.
Doctor Octopus stood at the very front.
The Lizard Connors hadn't followed them. After all, he couldn't exactly go out in public looking like that, so he was currently hiding in May's car.
He was used to staying in the shadows anyway.
The atmosphere in the elevator was somewhat awkward. When they finally reached their destination, Homelander and the others walked out one after another.
They arrived at Happy's apartment.
Homelander sat down on the sofa. The real show wouldn't happen until tonight, and it was still early. He even felt like taking a nap.
Max impatiently turned on the TV, found a single-person sofa to sit in, and then looked at Homelander.
"What?"
Homelander said reluctantly.
Max asked quietly, "You don't need to use the bathroom, do you?"
Homelander countered, "Do you?"
Max nodded, "Right."
"I'll tell you, if I weren't going to die if I went back, I really wouldn't want to turn back into my original self."
"You have no idea how hard my life was before. Anyone could order me around. Every day, there was always endless work to do. Not only did I do more than everyone else, I also got yelled at."
"I've had enough."
He waved his hand, "But if I don't turn back to normal, I'll die."
At this moment, he heard a voice in his mind: Then become stronger. Strong enough to kill Spider-Man.
He said softly, "That's true. That's another way."
Homelander withdrew from Max's mind, closed his eyes, and rested.
Doctor Octopus, whose temper had become irritable because of the chip's influence, was now having his mechanical tentacles restrain him.
Looking around the apartment, he said somewhat speechlessly, "There's no laboratory, and you plan to witness a miracle in an apartment?"
Osborn, meanwhile, was fiddling with one of the robots left behind by Iron Man and said with a smile, "This little thing is pretty good."
Doctor Octopus glanced at him and continued, "Are you planning to use microwave-frozen Mexican burritos as the antidote?"
It had to be said that he could be pretty sarcastic sometimes.
Finally, Doctor Octopus added, "You're going to get us killed."
"Hopefully not."
Spider-Man patted Doctor Octopus on the shoulder, "You first, Doctor?"
"Me?"
"I'm not sick."
"I don't need to be cured of anything."
"Especially not by some brat who only uses scrap parts."
He was clearly still viewing Spider-Man according to the standards of his own universe.
But at this moment, Max walked over, "No, I don't think so."
"What's in that room?"
"I can sense a strange energy."
Max entered the room together with the others.
Inside, Spider-Man revealed a box.
A label was stuck to the box. It read: Stark Industries.
"What's this?", Max asked.
"A replicator."
Spider-Man began explaining, "It can analyze, design, and manufacture anything."
"It's that powerful?", May smiled, "I thought it was a tanning machine that Happy broke."
Max, meanwhile, stared intently at the "replicator." When the machine transformed and unfolded, he saw the Arc Reactor embedded inside it.
In an instant, Max's eyes lit up.
In the living room, Homelander let out a knowing smile.
