Third Person POV
The word stayed on the screen. ACTIVE. But it did not feel like a status anymore. It felt like a beginning. No alarms followed. No warnings. No hidden errors waiting to surface. For the first time, the system did not resist itself. It held. Quietly.
Lily was the first to notice. "It is… calm," she said. Her voice was low, like she was afraid speaking too loudly would break it. Dr. Ward did not respond immediately. Her eyes were locked on her tablet, scanning, checking, searching for instability. "There is no central loop," she said finally. "No repeating sequence. No reset trigger. No forced selection." She looked up slowly. "It is not trying to correct anything."
