The projection did not rush into clarity. It formed slowly, like the system itself was careful with what it revealed. Shapes came first. Then outlines. Then detail. Alaric did not move. Lily held her breath without realizing it. Dr. Ward's fingers hovered above her tablet, but she did not touch it. Meadow stood still, her eyes fixed forward, as if she already understood something the others did not.

The room they saw was familiar. But it was not the same. It was the control room. That much was clear. The same walls. The same consoles. The same structure. But everything felt… different. Alive. Not in movement. Not in motion. But in presence. The lights did not flicker randomly. They adjusted. Softly. Like they were aware of the space they illuminated. The consoles were active, but not rigid. The data did not move in straight lines. It flowed. Not chaotic. Not controlled. Intentional.
