When Caden Albright had his face skinned, his eyes were still intact, so it hadn't affected the reconstruction of his skin.

Suddenly, a thought struck Evangeline.
She suddenly recalled from the original owner's memories that after gouging out Lachlan's eyes, she had seemed to preserve them meticulously. In a perverse twist, she had placed them right beside her stone bed, with the twisted intention that Lachlan's eyes could only ever look at her.
