After dinner, Faye Vaughn rose to leave. "It's getting late. I should go."
Finn Hawthorne's three friends gave him suggestive looks. "Finn, what are you waiting for? Go take the pretty girl home."
Faye Vaughn smiled and corrected them. "Please, call me Ms. Vaughn, the investor."
Goaded on by his friends, Finn Hawthorne looked a bit uncomfortable. He mumbled, "Let's go, Ms. Vaughn. I'll take you home."
Faye Vaughn didn't refuse.
Finn Hawthorne drove Faye Vaughn back to her apartment in his beat-up little car.
As they pulled up to the entrance of her apartment complex, Finn Hawthorne saw a familiar figure.
Special Assistant Shaw, Simon Shaw.
"Is he here for you?"
Finn Hawthorne frowned as he looked out the car window.
'My brother sent Simon Shaw to find Faye Vaughn?'
'Didn't my brother go to the hospital to be with Vivian?'
'Why is he still pestering Faye Vaughn?'
Faye Vaughn unbuckled her seatbelt. "I think so. I'll get out and see."
Faye Vaughn walked toward Simon Shaw.
